@ The Project of Mr. Smith? I purchased a $100 grocery gift card, with UNO, from Bitcoin Gift Cards. (I contacted them months ago, as part of our Denmark Crypto Town (W.A.) Project.) Mr. Smith says, 'Go, transactional UNO!!'@ Un-Ex: guys, I will trade more as I muster funds. IndiaMikeZulu's first teaspoon of mined Bitcoin came in this week. My share will be going into Unobtanium. There is no longer doubt in my mind. @ The Volume Thing: let's not miss opportunities to point out that Unobtanium is a special case in the Fixated-on-Volume Derby! @ 'Unobtanium Accepted Here' stickers -- where do I get one? Do we have a single store-front merchant? @ Un-Ex News: We have a two-star Trader! 4 ounces of silver bullion! And: V500 now offers an escrow service. Details to follow. how big should it be? you can choose from the designs i proposed earlier. i suggest to print it off with a good color printer and laminate it and stick it on the door with tape or something like that. printing stickers is probably still a bit too expensive if you don't have 1000s of stores lined up to accept UNO.

Taa, Layer. I will figure it out. [Note to self: line up thousands of stores to accept UNO.]
@ V500: it's unbelievable to Ian and I that we wandered around for a year with these ideas; got ignored; then WHAM!! -- UNO gets it; UNO does it. The escrow service will knock Un-Ex up a notch.

Merchants can easily accept UNO today through CoinPayments.net. On my bucket list is a project to contact current coinpayments merchants who don't accept Uno and encourage them to. There are currently 30 stores accepting Uno. https://www.coinpayments.net/store-directory--1-0-All%20StoresUNO is also an accepted currency at https://unbreakablecoinauctions.com

Well, it doesn't look like our Block Explorer at Cryptexplorer.com is coming back. That's too bad. They ran a pretty good service. Maybe they'll find their way back yet.
UNO is still well served by two explorers: Cryptap.us and Chainz.cryptoid.info It would be nice to have a third as a backup, but that's more of a luxury than a requirement.
The inconvenience is to web pages (including unobtanium.uno) who pulled data from Cryptexplorer's api. I recommending a switch over to Chainz' API. I have included links to Chainz machine readable data for UNO in the OP.
Over the course of a mere year, as I look at all of the explorers we've had and lost, and exchanges that have come and gone, I understand that this is just how it goes in cryptoland. There will be times when Unobtanium, through no fault of its own, will just need to pick itself up and move on. There have been many altcoins that have been completely killed off by smaller setbacks than this; Uno will not be one of them.
Hi everyone! I'm back from my vacation, we had a great 2 weeks at the sea, enjoying mediterranean food and drink. I did a quick hotfix to unobtanium.uno - luckily the Cryptexplorer and Cryptap.us APIs are compatible. Stats should show up again. edit: also added the new JavaScript wallet and changed links for the block explorer.

@ Bitcoin National: I will buy a few.
@ Learminer: thank you.
@ Timpeff: Go, you!!
@ Australians who like jam and chutney: Cherry Valley Farm, East Manjimup, W.A., has begun a Pilot Project. They accept UNO. Now, mailing such products is clunky, and we shan't do it often; but we could organise a couple of orders to 'make it real' for these local people. I will pay the postage.
[When we were running the Denmark (W.A.) Crypto Town Project, we gave gift packs of jam and chutney to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and the Manager of the Tourist Bureau. We attached a note explaining that the Yummies had been bought with cryptos. We sold jams and chutneys for Litecoin at the local markets -- that may well have been the first 'store-front' use of an altcoin anywhere in W.A. One of the successes of this Project was that we now have good relations with the Business Development Officer, who is himself connected to a national network of such Officers.]

Remember, there are many other cryptos to donate with that will be traded for BTC and used as community-sponsored token buy-support orders according to the pretty strict details on the Blue Crypto Award website link. One of my many goals with this project is to manage a project without damaging the UNO market price, so dumping your old crapcoins as donations to the project helps to fulfill that goal, instead of sending your valueable UNO. As for the UNO that's being donated, it will likely be used for the following, (all as described on the Award website): 1.) Advertising for the 2014 Award, or related promotion or promotion work 2.) Possible vote-counting technology, (website improvement, etc.) 3.) Sold for BTC (carefully, with skill) for the 100-UNO equivalent token public buy-support orders to be posted according to the criteria on the Award website. All resulting funds available September 1st, 2015, for the 2nd Annual Blue Crypto Awards, plural! 4.) Otherwise used beginning Sep 1st for the 2nd Annual Blue Crypto Awards, 2015. All expenditures will be publicly posted when complete.

That's a future lawsuit. I posted this minor detail awhile back. "If you can't beat'm join'm" So they got the prime URL. But look at the synergy here. They want to sell and be the lead BTC seller to India (1 billion customers is that good?). Now think how both UNO and unocoin can work in mutual benefit? <hmmmm?/> If I get a good enough plan to offer, then sometime in 2015 I might just be at CoinMonk Ventures Private Limited, 2nd floor, Gurudas Building. *but first it looks like I am sourcing stickers*@ Benefactor RE: The Blue Crypto Award I have identified 3 other charity coin communities that are almost sound. [but pale when compared to Un] BCT, EMC, and Noble. I would like to approach them to join in and support "The Blue Crypto Award". But I have some reservations, primarily, Noble is the only semi-solid community. The other 2 seem rather fluid at the moment. However, all are based on the principle of charitable work/support. EMC in particular seems geared towards 'science'. So before I hound them to join in the cause, I'd like your thoughts (and anyone's). edit: Karmacoin edit: 20 million a kilo and it pays for science

i thought also it is better to work with not against people. 2 groups of people who know what they are doing could create even something more useful than burning energy on waging war (or investing money in lawsuits) re charities and the blue crypto award: no#1 sean's outpost (?)

@ Bitcoin National:
IndiaMikeZulu knows the Noble guys 'cause (recall that we bill ourselves as 'regional' developers) the dev is Australian. Came across him after he posted a fine paper. We wish them well because they share values and dev ideas with us . . . but they are really poor communicators, and the coin has been performing poorly for a while now. (You can catch the dev, Jason, every coupla weeks when he passes through Reddit Noble.)
And I applaud your perspective on relating to unocoin: Unobtanium is (uniquely) not-necessarily in competition with other cryptos, and hence springs my notion of 'Uno Sachs': 'consultancy culture'

*but first it looks like I am sourcing stickers* Gotta start somewhere. - As for the other charities: I don't think we are doing something in competition of them, but rather something that they can interpret as complimenting their charity work. Maybe it's silly at this point, but I like to think of the (future) Blue Crypto Awards as a cross between the Oscars and the Nobel Prizes.* Since crypto is the future, I hope the 'Awards are the future, too! Maybe someday, we can include categories for those guys, too. See, it can compliment their work! Therefore - Yes! Let everyone know about The 1st Annual Blue Crypto Award! - *Of course we DON'T want the Nobel name. That's from the Age of Pieces. We are now in the new age of Aquarius. ...Just sayin'. (Without getting political.)
