with this higher volume of last hours uno has now officially surpassed bitcoin in the supply/tradevolume equation (tradevolume devided by new coins per day) on global scale. Approaching drk and ltc now. Uno is on the way to the top. Go mUno!  Cool

Once cracking LTC and DRK on 'tradevolume vs inflation' it'll be the No1 coin for investors and traders. There is still so much room for growth. We haven't even started this thing yet. Very high potential in Uno from the fundamental standpoint.
Same volume as we had during last weeks after the halving will put Uno at the Top of all the coins (including bitcoin) in regards of fundamental analysis and as things stand also in TA of charts. I'm expecting great success. Price will have to grow a lot to keep in check the volume/supply for the time to come.
To the mUn!

5$ bare minimum from my standpoint. Consistent trading and stability around higher levels will bring confidence. Steady growth is to be prefered to insane spikes in this case. Uno looking good.

there's a lot of regulatory hoops an exchange would have to jump through to make it happen.  Plus, getting USD in and out of exchanges is a royal pain in the ass.  I remember some months back there was an exchange trying to gauge interest in a UNO/USD market....but they were a russian exchange I had never heard of.  you gonna mail a check off to russia and expect they'll do business with you straight?  I think you've got just as good of a chance of finally meeting your nigerian prince for a date.  but even still, I've been around the cryptocurrency space for almost 3 years now and I still don't know if you can actually fund a btc-e account with usd.

Its just so much easier to buy some btc with your coinbase account and immediately send it over to buy your UNO.  I think we are already seeing quite clearly that the value of UNO is more closely tied to the value of USD than it is to BTC....bitcoin just happens to be the easiest medium.  and really, i don't know about you guys, but I don't actually plan to "sell" my stash of Unobtanium for government funny money...like ever, really, unless it is absolutely necessary.  And if the value UNO got to the point where my current stash was considered a fortune, I imagine some sort of UNO/USD market would pop up just because it would be an opportunity for some exchange to make money.  This imagememe kinda sums up my attitude towards unobtanium:

basically, I'm just saying that I don't think its worth fighting for at this point in the game

The new BW exchange is registered according to the site:

"Alternative Markets LLC is registered and compliant with the United States Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN BSA ID 31000053412302"

So it really shouldn't be too much of a hassle considering they are u.s based. I would imagine it to be like setting up a coinbase account.

I get what you are driving at, i personally feel we are at least a decade away from mass adoption of crypto. So yes, my immediate goals are to sell off about half of my holdings to pay off my debts, and hold the rest for when the inevitable collapse of the american government takes place. I doubt i will have internet access then, so i really question the value of the coins, but hey, if after the nuclear apocalypse, there is an internet, and people willing to use it for the exchange of cryptos, i will be prepared.

Ya know, everyone always talks like the internet has been around forever.. like the network and having access to the internet is not a weak point in crypto. I can't say i have ever read much about people worrying about this. It does concern me though. Yeah, when i view the future i see us becoming more connected into the digital space, but my access to it is really limited to  either having access to a cell phone, or an isp. Can the internet be destroyed, meeehhh, i don't really think so, but as far as i know crypto only works if the net works. I guess we just don't talk about it much because no one thinks it is possible?

I don't understand why this is never brought up, but people can speculate about how in the future every item will have a coin attached to it  Roll Eyes

We can't grow when we won't criticize ourselves!

Sirsmokes, fire off a PM to Ian, my offsider. His insight into Will The Net Collapse When It All Happens is brilliant and re-assuring.

And where will I be by then? well, check out how far out in the boonies I live. Emu chick looking in my living-room window.

@smokesalot
internet outage will never be global and local only temporary. When there is electricity, there is internet normally.
Only exception to that would be huge solar flare/ solar storm but since that would lead to melt down of the nuclear reactors worldwide it would be extinction anyways.
I personally can not think of any scenario where the internet is globally and permanently defunct without an extinction level event - in which case money will be your smallest concern.
Well, i choose to see it positive: won't happen in my life and if it does i'll see then what to do. No need on planning on things that don't happen anyways. That's just distraction. A fail of the monetary fiat system is by far more likely than any of the other bad scenarios. That is real. So crypto does make sense. I do trust my internet connection more and i think it is more sustainable longterm than the debt driven inflation fiat system we have now. Wink

I am far more concerned about the financial system than i am about a functional internet or human extinction tbh. Internet, humanity or the financial system - which will fail first? I think the answer is quite obvious.  Roll Eyes

Lol nice! Are emus wild down there? I live more in the sticks than a city, but it is fairly developed all the same. I love the convenience of having things close, but don't care much for the crowds.

Is there a paper Ian has written about it, or more just his ideas?

I can't rule it out when i am speculating, or at least i try to lessen my risk a little bit by changing some of my crypto to metals and such. With how much our society as human beings has been built upon technology and the internet, i do agree that if we are without it, not having the internet is going to be the LEAST of my concerns. Even in my thoughts about such a scenario eventually i have people getting the web back online, because it really is that awesome. It is like having a library with every resource manual at your fingertips constantly. Man discovers fire, the wheel, antibiotics, the internet. Yep yep yep.

Sadly i see this capitalistic system in the states collapsing a lot sooner than i see the internet. It isn't that i am fearful of it happening, it just seems like by selling and trading debt and having nothing giving value to the dollar other than the good will and faith of the economy, that it is DOOMED. Only time will tell. The one thing i am sure of, the price of ammo has gone up quite a bit over the past few years, and doesn't seem to be coming back down.

@ Edgar: welcome to Un-Ex. Other coins talk talk talk. The Unobtanium community develops develops develops.

@ Sirsmokes, Ian hasn't written a paper. I will ask him to drop in.

@ Scam Coins in Languages other than English:

serious for a second, something is happening here. Been hangin' out on the Indonesian (Malay) language threads. Have seen several coins -- '95% IPO POS coin promoting deep feelings for The Earth' -- that would be called out as scams if announced in English. Well, what's the bet that a huge new wave of scam-coinnery is underway in other languages?

uno was one of the very few coins today that didn't take a considerable hit from the rising bitcoin.
Almost all other coins took hits of up to 20% from people dumping for bitcoin. I think that's another great thing today. Uno handled the sudden rise in bitcoin pretty nicely.

It also shows Uno hasn't many daytraders on board yet. Since it is pretty much confirmed now almost all Uno are still with longtermers it could maybe even evade the typical  pressure resulting from a rising bitcoin (if that was to become a reality).

Uno looking strong.

by the way: has it been discussed here before? Uno is on mintpal v2 included and they want to be blazing fast now. Yay! High speed trading uno! Need tighter spread later!

Agreed.  Uno is one of the fairest and most stable coins out there.  I could see Uno rising to the top 20 coins on Coinmarketcap in the next year or two as some of the other coins drop off of the radar.  Of the 400+ coins on CMC, I'm betting that only about 10% survive the next five years. As the market consolidates, UNO should eventually find itself in a very enviable position.

i am personally banking on it becoming number 3 after Litecoin. Hope we get out of this bullmarket in a few months in top Position. Talking about 0.1 to 1 btc for a coin. I fail to see why not.
