I've had some Unobtanium beer! It's pretty good, but also very stout (sometimes 13 or 14% alcohol) and hard to find. The brewery will randomly have it for sale at $10 a bottle. It's kinda like taking a shot of bourbon with a hint of vanilla on every sip. It's definitely not for the weak hearted drinkers Wink

It sounds like my kind of beer. I've tweeted at them a couple of times in the past. I'll reach out to them again and see if I can get a response. It does seem like a match made in heaven:  a bunch of crypto guys  (and gals?)  who drink beer and trade Unobtanium, and a beer called Unobtanium that is so powerful we can swap it out for scotch.  Smiley

You're absolutely right. I've been 3 times (specifically for UNO beer) and it has only been for sale once. They wouldn't ship it to me either, but I think they will sell barrels to other pubs.

I'm not selling *any* Un for the remainder of the year. I hope the rest of you will step up and keep our markets liquid. I'll re-evaluate in January.
I have a lot that I bought in the .01 range. I'm not sweating that at all. I see where Un is headed, and I'm long term with Uno. I'm accumulating the rest of the year, and glad to buy less than .01, although for me .01 should be the fair value.  Just looking for btc buy-in opps right now.

2015 is going to be a great year for Uno. There will be virtually no inflation.

I was gonna post a snippet of theory yesterday, but thought it might seem pretentious. Sirsmokes aced it with the word 'convoluted.' All along I've argued for a more 'stripped-down' development model.

Uno for bullion! It is a step towards price-independence, and I think it will help rather than harm the Hedges experiment.

2-4 weeks for delivery in the U.S. Wow . . . C.D. got her bar in under 48 hours.

And gotta get good prices -- low 'premium.' Let's compare notes.

@FK: yah, sit and watch a while. There is dev exhaustion setting in all over the place.

@ Unobtanium beer is a stout! Too good! And don't you think, campers, that it fits Uno's image: strong, boutique, handled with care

I thought this snippet was pretentious until I saw this: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-trader-customer-losses-management-disappearance/

One: there is the cryptographic currency and its mining, including pools.

Two: there is an introspective community with its eye on The 99%. It has a commitment to all things 'in-house.'

Three: there is a large 'held close to the breast' merchant network, which gives balance to the volatility that comes from trading. (An accountant is a good thing to have. IMZ has one who gives us advice for free -- libertarian.)

Four: there are automated exchanges . . . a quorum, dealt with carefully.

Five: a fiat-crypto portal is essential.

Six: beyond that -- and this is clearly my point -- you're at risk of over-technificating. A 'simple' 'crypto-network' may very well ultimately be more profitable and less stressful.

Nxt comes to mind here. IMZ are big on Nxt . . . but we see it as a technical experiment. At times, one feels at risk of being sucked into the tech whirlpool. I couldn't sleep at night if my crypto portfolio was centred on Nxt.

P.S.: does anyone else think that we are drifting into another Weird Period?

Okay, Hedges are go!

Hedge001/Sirsmokes
Hedge002/Sirsmokes
Hedge003/IMZ
Hedge004/IMZ
Hedge005/IMZ

Hedges are, in effect, a currency that serves the active members of the community. It is -- I state this bluntly -- a form of 'positive discrimination.'

@ Welcome, Coaex! We reserve the right to ask questions, but 'coupling' Unobtanium to a bullion merchant is HUGE news, imho.

@ Sirsmokes: I will buy Hedges are 11.773 at this second.

@ Proliferation of coins in other languages:

Guys, this is 'dilution.' We should understand it. Check this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=192.0

You don't need to be able to speak Bahasa (Malay -- a major world-language) to figure out that this is a flood of new coins. 'Truckcoin' is '200% p.a. POS interest.'

Does anyone check crypto threads in other languages? Is this going on elswewhere?

Coaex.com is a respected precious metals retailer. After talking with Bryce Weiner, they have decided to add UNO as one of their latest payment method through CoinPayments.net!

The recent linking of precious metals and UNO is exciting.  Efforts in this area just in October include IMZ & the in-house exchange are experimenting with hedges linked to silver; BigTimeSpaghetti's solid silver UNO wallet; and now Coaex accepting UNO for metals.

I may have to spend some Unobtanium here  https://www.coaex.com

too high, much better prices on Ebay with free shipping...

I dunno, the price for 10 grams on ebay, the second result, assuming all gold is the same as long as it is 999 is more expensive than ten grams on coaex. I never remember them claiming to be the cheapest, rather they are accepting uno for bullion. I would rather trade my uno for gold than bitcoins. That is just me though. It is nice someone who has gold is willing to do so. Nicer that the market doesn't have to be dumped on for the exchange to take place. I recognize that it could happen then if coaex wants to cash out, but yeah, i don't have to be the one pulling the trigger.

Also, IMZ, why would i do something cray cray like sell my hedges now? I'll hold out a little longer though your offer, is of course, appreciated  Kiss !

We can't grow when we won't criticize ourselves!

Cryptsy is clogged up with 0.00176446 uno buy orders. Some bot is working the market. Still, nothing really to stop a run to .01, where it will meet a 11 btc sell wall.

My one-ounce silver 'coin' has arrived in Aus. from the U.S. An interesting experiment, and our first international bullion-trade.

Special thanks to Bitcoin Charlie for paying the postage out of his pocket, and for jumping through the Post Office hoops.

And: The Bullion Thing: on our end, buys, the ten-ounce silver bullion bar is our 'marker': low premium, and valuable enough to make the postage reasonable. So, if you can, report the listed prices for ten-oz bars.

Let's see how merchants affect the market price - volume 1.
We got our first order worth of $425 incl. shipping - 10 gram of gold.
Apmex' cheapest price (via Check/Bank wire) with a volume discount (10 pieces) was $432 incl. shipping to US.

As for UNO market, we cleared the buy wall at 0.076 sat, at first (2014-10-21 03:35:17 - Cryptsy time)... bought/sold around 0.0725 - 0.079. There is general perception that merchants sell at the lowest buy price they could find, which is, in fact, utterly wrong. Some would do that but in general, they buy/sell at the optimal point. If we had hold our profits in crypto for the past 6 months, our revenue would be at least twice of it. (yeah, revenue! lol)

Now BTC is moving upside, but watch out UNO's USD value in coinmarketcap, in the next few days. According to my past experiences (~35,000 USD revenue of Coaex since it's launched), the volume created should have a positive effect on the market. A $425 order create at least 1.5x of it. This should push the market above 0.08 sat even though BTC slightly moved +USD 5. Let's see..
