It was a really unfortunate day for Arsenal today. They performed much higher than I expected against Manchester City. To tell the truth, I was expecting Manchester City to keep the game under control mostly. But this wasn't the case and almost the opposite happened. Manchester City were in big trouble as they were struggling to fend off dangerous Arsenal attacks. But Gabriel's getting a red card ended the hopes for Arsenal. And they got an unfortunate loss. I really appreciated Arsenal's high effort. They deserved at least one point.

Arsenal's performance in the first half was great, they were even able to secure a goal, but City scored 2 goals in the second half which resulted to them winning with a goal difference. I expected Arsenal to resist City, but the red card Gabriel got probably messed up things for Arsenal. Although, Arsenal lost, but they played quite good. However, the winning strengthen City's place on the standings, while they now have a total of 53 points. Nevertheless, Arsenal are still at their position, despite losing this night.

^  If anything, I think it’s Liverpool that’s gonna start having problems when the Africa Cup of Nations start next month.  Klopp will be missing two key players, Mane and Salah.  Expect them to start losing points and Chelsea to solidify second spot at the table.  At least that’s what I think.

Anyway, had a bad run of bets.  So I’m doing a degen parlay...    HT/FT draw and City to win, Norwich team total under 0.5 goals and draw for United vs Wolves.  Total odds at 40.73.  25 bucks wins a tad over 1k.  Lezzz gooo!

This will be a hard month for teams that have a lot of african players. Liverpool is probobly in biggest trouble and to me they will probobly drop a few points,Chelsea is also playing really bad lately and i dont see them at second place it will be really hard,i think Man City will make their advantage a lot bigger

It’s a crucial fixture tomorrow.  And it’s surely one of the matches that could decide who gets the second spot at the table.  There’s like a couple of key players out for Liverpool, Origi and Andrew Roberston then Reece James and Chilwell for Chelsea, tho haven’t seen Chilwell play that much...  This feels like a low scoring draw tbh but dunno...  Results have been insane lately.

Anyway Arsenal almost had it if not for Xhaka.  Things started going south after the penalty for City then the red card happened.  Arsenal deserved at least a draw.

I still am shocked that Xhaka is continuing to play for Arsenal he always makes a mistake that costs them. Arsenal was better in this match before red card but thankfully City won so won that match in the end and happy with the todays result between this two

Yup.  There was an interesting statistic with Xhaka.  Something like the number of yellow cards he’s had out of 9 times he played against Man City was 6 or 7 or something.    If there was only a sports betting site that had a player anytime yellow card market.  That would be fun degen bet.  Lol.

And I missed watching most of the matches.  I heard Chelsea vs Liverpool match was really good.  I was expecting it to be a draw and low scoring.

The match between Everton and Brighton was an interesting one. I literally thought Everton were going to resist Brighton. But they had a weak defense which resulted to them losing the game with a goal difference. Brighton played awesomely, and performance lately have been really impressive.
One of the major problem Everton is facing this season is their defense, they have conceded 32 goals in their last 18 EPL matches. Therefore, I think Rafael Benitez have to work more on his defense.

I mean Brighton won this match only for their defenders. Brighton's defenders played excellent. In particular I would like to name Dan Burn. He scored a goal as well as excellent defending. Everton attacked a lot. I saw several good attacks from Everton's players. But they fell behind in the first half because they lost the match. If they had not missed the penalty in the first half, perhaps the outcome of the match would have been different.

Manchester United seem to be in a big trouble now. It is halftime and I'm really surprised as they managed to keep the score at 0-0 somehow. Because I really admired Wolves' great performance in this game until now. Manchester United seemed really desperate about defending their opponent. And they couldn't have as many attacks as Wolves in the first half. Rangnick should help his players gather themselves up somehow. Or it really looks like they could even lose this game. I really don't like to see Manchester United playing this poorly.

Wolves have decided to pick their first 3 points of the year at Old Trafford. It was a very bad performance because Rangnick gambled. Seriously the midfield was poor and funny enough he had better options on the bench. Rangnick's side were overrun in midfield by Wolves who had Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves pulling the strings throughout the match. The Portuguese duo proved too much to handle for United's midfield pairing of Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic. The right back was a problem also as wanbisaka couldn’t cross or give accurate pass into the opponent box. Manchester United don't know what is needed of them. They were looking around at each other at times. They were playing slow when they needed to be fast forward. In the second half they had that bit more control but still, Wolves looked comfortable.

The odds were in favour of united with a 1-0 win. These wins hurt but 3 points are more important. United are just so out of in sync inspite of having some of the best players in the world. The defense was so poor and porous why play Dalot Telles Jones together they are not good defensively especially Dalot he’s a liability,Sancho is just an overrated player, Cavani was just running without purpose,Ronaldo can’t start all games or he can’t play 90mins all the time,Lingard has no impact, that left footed kid upfront is a selfish player,what kind of useless team is this you gotta play Fred Mctominay and Bruno in midfield always if you want to win Coach

This is embarassing..  I was one of the guys who was praising Rangnick as one of the better German football tacticians who could bring United forward.  Klopp and Tuchel were influenced by him but as one of my football buddies irl  pointed...  ‘Has Rangnick won anything in his managerial career?’.  Lol.  And I’m afraid he’s right.  But he’s not totally the one to blame imho.  Man United is already in shambles even before Rangnick arrived.

If they performed in a great way but still lost, then I would regard them as unlucky. But it was not the case obviously. Rangnick should be building a better team for the 2022-2023 season.
This season is basically wasted for Manchester United.Their only target is to reach the fourth place to qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the next season.
Very weak game against Wolves indeed.I was expecting Ronaldo to score again,but this time he could be barely seen on the field.
Maybe the Man United owners will have to spend millions of pounds to buy Levandowski or Haaland in the next transfer market.
Phil Jones isn't good enough for Manchester United,so Rangnick will have to buy better defenders as well.

Although liverpool still has 1 game postponed, but the next few weeks will make liverpool quite difficult in their match, this can not be separated from the loss of 2 of their main players, namely Sadio Mane and Muhammad Salah, as we know so far, Sadio Mane and Muhammad Salah are the two players who became the life and motor of Liverpool attack, but it seems Liverpool must be ready to play without them both because of the players obligation to help the national team to play in the African Championship this year, I think by losing Salah and Mane it will make Liverpool difficult in matches and of course it makes their chances of competing with chelsea very small.

I think otherwise, in the next 3 EPL matches, Liverpool will only play Leicester as the top EPL club. The other 2 matches will only be against Crystal palace & Brentford. As for Chelsea, they have to fight Man. City & Tottenham. Liverpool's position should be better for the next game, but back to the starting lineup, if Liverpool were without Salah and Mane, maybe they could win, but it would be a bit difficult.

^  Solskjaer was a huge part of the problem.  You think he can manage that Liverpool squad like Klopp if he replaced Klopp or manage City like Pep?  Solskjaer is tactically inept.  I know he’s a United legend but c’mon now...  Let’s not get carried away.

The problem here is that Ralf Rangnick is only an interim manager.    I mean that he has a contract running until this summer. After it runs out, his future is going to be decided by Manchester United. He hasn't been too bad generally so far. But if the team don't improve their performance in some weeks, it doesn't seem like that they will be able to finish the season at a good position in the standings. In that case, Manchester United might try to sign a deal with Zinedine Zidane or another big manager like him.

You are right and everyone knows what Liverpool have gained from the contributions of these two players in the last few seasons. They are two important players for Klopp and they have also been a part of Klopp's success at Liverpool.

I think you shouldn't be afraid to say it because losing these two players will have an impact on Liverpool's attacking power in a match. The team's performance may be affected by the absence of two players who will defend their respective countries, so Liverpool need to anticipate.

The way Arsenal have been playing this season has made me believe that Arsenal has future if only they can continue same way. The likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Kieran Tierney, Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard have standout performers for Arsenal during this season. They are building a team of young and vibrant players mainly because they want them to bond together. They want to keep recruiting young players because of their plans for the future. How Arteta has managed to put these players in shape and form and they are producing fine results. Their only problem now is getting points from big teams and maintaining that position they are at the moment.

Arsenal which this season combines young players, seems to have found their best performance after the start of the season was quite chaotic, in my opinion not only now arsenal has talented young players, from the coaching era wenger arsenal has produced many great young players such as cesc fabregas, Samir Nasri, Hector Bellerin and also Chamberlain, but unfortunately they can't be defended by Arsenal, I think if Arsenal want to return to being great and strong as before, now their must be able to keep these young players to continue playing in Arsenal, but to be honest I doubt that Arsenal will be able to keep them from being targeted by other clubs in the future.

One of the most important things for me considering this season is whether Manchester United will be able to start performing at the level they should. They are a big team and have already a great lineup too. The only problem is their system. As of Rangnick's joining the team as the new manager, I'm just hoping to see the team getting better day by day. But for now, they continue to struggle as we saw it in the game against Wolves. But once they start playing solidly, they can fight for the title too. Maybe not in this season but in the next one.

Their performance in the last matches should really be appreciated. Arsenal played very well, especially until they got a red card against Manchester City. They're a young team. They work hard to be successful. Arteta has created a better team atmosphere than last year. They can finish the League in the top 4. I believe it.

Chelsea and Tottenham both played with their usual starting elevens as I can see. But Chelsea really dominated the game from the start to the end. They literally owned the first half though and didn't even let Tottenham shoot for once. And they finished the job by scoring two goals in this half. In the second half, Tottenham got more chances but there was no happy ending. Chelsea got a decent 2-0 win and captured a good advantage before the rematch in Tottenham.
