It looks as though Manchester City and Tottenham will win their games but for one reason or another I feel Arsenal and Liverpool will drop points.

We watched a really solid Chelsea in the first 25 minutes of the match actually. They were so willing to score goals and Southampton were struggling to defend them. But after Lavia's great goal things started to change for Chelsea. Their defense started to be weaker too easily and Southampton took advantage of the openings really nicely. The second goal was a fault of Chelsea defense again as nobody was there to defend Armstrong. And after that this score difference would have really been bigger than this as Chelsea started to care less about their defense. Chelsea are still not able to score goals comfortably and this is hurting the team too much.

They really need to solve their striker problem as soon as possible. 


By the way, Arsenal have an easy matchup once again. Aston Villa started the season badly and they are an easy target for Arsenal in Emirates. Right before the Manchester United match in Old Trafford, winning here would be a big morale for the players. Therefore I think Arsenal have a really nice odd like 1.55 to bet on.

Manchester City have begun an unbeaten run, with 10 goals in two matches and Halaand scoring 10 goals so far this season, and I knew their rough start would not last long. If Manchester City runs through the league again this season, I'll be able to say that the Premier League is no different than the Bundesliga, where Bayern wins every year.

Arsenal is demonstrating why they deserve to be at the top of the table after coming back from a goal down in their last two games.

I didn't follow ups for the Liverpool and Tottenham game buy I saw a lot of drama online for the Liverpool second goal.

Manchester City really seem like they are going to dominate this season. Haaland has made a big impact already at the beginning indeed. We are going to see what they will do in the biggest matches of the league as well. I'm curious about the matches between them and Arsenal especially. After this great start I can't wait to watch Arsenal in a big match. They haven't faced a big challenge yet. The Aston Villa match was another easy job to do for them.

When Gabriel Jesus faces his old team I won't doubt his performance. It's good for him to choose Arsenal as we are watching his skills more than before. Otherwise he was going to wait in the subs while Haaland was playing like a beast.

@CLS63 Manchester City were scoring goals easily last year, but now they’re scoring goals for fun however Newcastle match did show that they won’t win each and every time, and thus I feel that other teams like Arsenal may challenge them for the title. Also Liverpool won in the 98th minute which showed that they’re finally on the right track, because for a while I thought they would only be getting one point from yesterday's fixture.

This is really interesting statistics at the end of the 5th week. Manchester United have 9 points while scoring 5 and conceding 7 goals. But Liverpool can collect only one less points by having much better stats.  

Manchester United have started to recover for three weeks by getting wins. However their game in the last two matches makes me really uncomfortable. We had another similar week that they targeted to secure a 1-0 score advantage rather than going for more. This score is always risky in the Premier League no matter what the opponent is. Maybe Southampton couldn't but Leicester could have punished them.

We saw Ronaldo entering the game in the second half again. But this wasn't bad for them because Rashford contributed with an assist. Until Ronaldo's future at the club is determined I don't expect to see him in the starting eleven anyway. There is a big improvement in Sancho's performance by the way. He wasn't this much good last season but now he is one of the important players of the team. He scored the winning goal of the match here and became the hero in some way.

Terrible form from Leicester, they have to find their rhythm again quickly else it seems they are heading back to relegation. The players all seem to have lost their confidence. For Manchester United, their supporters will be relaxed now and impressed with their consecutive wins, looking forward to when they play Arsenal next. Maguire for MUFC, will spend many more days as a substitute surely, because Malacia, Martinez, Varane are holding their backline beautifully.

I will say Manchester City will beat Aston Villa on Saturday and Manchester United will beat Arsenal on Sunday. That means if Arsenal, Tottenham and Brighton drop points Manchester City could be top of the table and Manchester United could jump to third place.

I am not sure why West Ham have started the season in a disastrous manner, they are in 14th place with just 4 points from 5 games. Newcastle United have just one win from their first five games too.

About the Aston Villa - Manchester City match I can say that there is no chance for the home team to beat Manchester City here. It is even a low possibility for them to steal any point. Aston Villa are one of the worst teams of the season so far. They have been able to get only three points so far which was thanks to a win against Everton which is a big candidate to relegate for now. Aston Villa don't have any psychological superiority over Manchester City too so everything indicates a comfortable win for Manchester City. It is really difficult to stop Haaland now while he is in a huge form.

Like @JollyGood said, this is a chance for Manchester City to take the lead. But Arsenal are really doing an amazing job. Maybe this is the first time they are playing against a solid team so far but the players have a really strong understanding of each other. I don't know if Manchester United can hold them off for 90 minutes successfully.

Haaland is currently a goal scoring machine, it is a bad time for Aston Villa to play Manchester City because they are not playing well and are second from bottom in the league table.

If Manchester City drop points today then Arsenal will be under a different pressure when they visit Old Trafford tomorrow. If Manchester City go top of the league table today then there will be huge pressure on Arsenal to go for a win tomorrow but Manchester United are coming in to form now and they will have home advantage therefore will be a good game to watch.

Of all the games being played today, the Merseyside derby is an early kick-off while Aston Villa and Manchester City have a late kick-off.

I would like to know where this statistic comes from. The other two sites show me completely different statistics of the game and if there are slight discrepancies in shots then corners are counted equally as 7 - 9 in favor of Liverpool. Similarly with shots on target - 3-8 in favor of Liverpool, and the total number of shots is 14-22. The only thing that is true in this picture is possession of the ball, but there is also a mistake - one percent is lost.
