Good day to all,
I would like to share this my simple tips for beginners, how to avoid or accuse a plagiarist.
First of all, do we know that plagiarism or copying a post without the source code attached to our post can be called plagiarism?
This is against the rules of bitcointalk and you may be banned if it proves you have done this activity.

Code:
33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]

I know, almost all of the new members of the forum are mostly from the banned account and make a new account to correct their first mistake, and that's plagiarism.
(in a social media group)
They usually do not read the rules and regulations of the forum before creating a post. So the outcome is the wrong thing or rule breaker.

for additional knowledge, creating a new account while our first account is banned is also against forum rules.

Code:
25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

Actually, We can avoid it, but it does not matter if you really do not care about your account.
We don't need to be either good on all things.
but we can prevent making a mistake if we just follow and read all the important things that are against this forum.

Ok, let's move on. Go back to plagiarism. Grin
Before you post, comments, tutorials, and answering questions you can check your sentence first on the engine that I used. I know many of users of bitcointalk know this and used for seeking the plagiarized post.
Double check your sentence before posting on any thread for your assurance, and not accuse as a plagiarist.

https://searchenginereports.net/plagiarism-checker/

This is the Filipino version of this post,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5052712.0

And to all newbies (not feeling newbies)
Take time to read and analyzed the rules of the forum.

The best way to prevent accuse as a plagiarist is by writing your own, original content, and not copy-paste any other's. Most of the bounties have some rules that try to avoid people trying to earn some coins/tokens in exchange of copy-pasting the work of other members, and that's the way it should work so don't try to cheat the system.

If you want to earn some money, work for it. It's still not so difficult to do it, and you'll feel so much better with yourself building something on your own than plagiarising any other work that you'll agree with me it had been worth the effort.

Why should you have to check the content you post elsewhere? It's painfully simple: if you're lifting content from somewhere else, cite your source. You've successfully avoided plagiarism. You don't need to check for generic statements either, because it's highly unlikely you're going to get accused for those.

If we're being honest though, most of the people who post plagiarized content know exactly what they're doing, which is trying to get away with it.

For me I feel its better to stick around learn as much as possible I:e gaining enough knowledge by frequently reading through threads before starting any thread as newbie or beginners.

Because starting a thread for inexperienced newbies is difficult and that's when they tend to plagiarisms

If you content is original;then there will be no need for this..
If you birthed and groomed your idea yourself(in your head); then there will be no need for this
If you didn't just read(cram/memorize) through Google Search in a bid to reply to comment or make a post; then there will be no need for this
If you do not spin a text in a bid to cheat the system;then there will be no need for this.

Once the idea is yours it's almost impossible to be tagged a plagiarist,no two individuals(highly unlikely),can come up with exactly the same ideas, and if they do, it cannot be exactly alike, and if it is it cannot be exactly in the same words.

I definitely agree with this statement. As long as it was your own, there is no need to be checking sentences as suggested by OP.
People may have similar ideas but each can still be expressed or written differently.

It’s not just Newbies that plagiarize, although they tend to do it more often than other ranks on the whole. I don’t know, maybe I’m a bit old school here, but I find it plain dumb to plagiarize, and denotes a lack of effort and willingness to better oneself. I mean one can look over some article, cross-reference it, and come up with a memory held summary or a versed opinion without too much effort. I guess that it is when laziness wins the battle over willingness, that one tries to find an easy way out which, in this forum, leads to thinking that plagiarism or posting crap is a quick way to comply with activity and/or post per week, and perhaps fool someone into giving them a stray merit.

There’s even a trend in trying to skip a plagiarism accusation, by copy/pasting an extract of an article and adding a reference link. There we go, avoided the plagiarism offence, but added cero value and laid out a merit trap for the absentminded. This kind of situation can be reported though, as it normally adds no value on its own without an accompanying versed opinion or somewhat.

you don't need to do that if it is your own thought and written by yourself
I'm pretty sure you will never be accused of plagiarism if you write in your own words
if you need additional info in your post you can quote or make a reference to the source

A plagiarist can only be accused, if they used someone else's content without their permission and claiming to be their own.

So if you have to use someone else's stuff, give them credit for it and quote their source. I frequently add prove of my source,

when I quote someone else's work, because I know it is wrong to use it without their permission. Just adhere to the rules and

do not steal someone else's work and you will be fine.  Wink

I guess just write your own content and base your content in your experience to avoid plagiarism, some issues are because of googling about something and then kinda paraphrasing the sentence that came from google which is I think not a good move so for me never do that and just stick in your own experience when having a discussion with someone in the forum.

Also putting the source or reference when you post something from the internet is going to avoid plagiarism since you are acknowledging the content that it is not your own content. The forum suggested to just put the link where you get it.

I've said this before but I'll say it again. If one do not have an idea about a topic but still want to be part of the discussion, do even a bit of a research, or read a related article. Try to absorb the content and then post according to your understanding. Not merely copy-pasting. Your realization could be right or wrong. If it's right, you contributed to the community. But if you're wrong and was corrected, then you've contributed to yourself.

But still, give credit where credit is due. If you know the idea is not really yours, include the original source. That's the least we could do to show respect to the author.

Just quote that guy, and edit the contents. The link to the original post would still maintain. By using your post as an example:

There is a different kind of plagiarism so its better if we check this out also one of the best to avoid plagiarism is

Cite the content
Credit to the author
Get the link
Or create your own thread

Also, we are preventing our members to make a plagiarize because they still benefit from this too on their future contents not only inside of our forum.

Although this is an old topic still I feel the argue to drop my views. There's no way to go about this that's more easier than simply relying on creating your own original thought on any topic been discussed. Don't try to portray yourself as been smart, copying someone else works it'll only hurt you irrespective of it giving you a temporary reward (probably you get merited) but on the long run, you'll still lose.

If you see a topic you don't have an idea about, move on as there area thousands of other topic you can contribute to on the forum. With time you'll be able to contribute exact or similar thread assuming you create out some spare time to research on that topic you encountered previously. Do so with the intention of educating yourself and not mere to look smart to others.
