As on of the best altcoins, Ethreum is my first choice to invest. I invested my larger amount on Ether expecting that I will get double profit. But recently its value is some what in down trend. Still my investment has 20% profit. I am in a puzzle, I should sell it now or hold for further profit. Can you suggest me please, whether it is my best time to sell or hold for future?

20% profit is pretty high, will I sell if I get that high a profit on any of my assets, maybe/maybe not, it depends on so many factors privy to only me. Why I wrote the sentence before this is because it's your decision to make, the 'factors' I mentioned earlier differs individually, you will have to assess yours on a personal level and decipher/come to a conclusion on what's best for you.

If it was prolly a shit/pump and dump coin, I can give you an advice to sell, but ethereum has done pretty much well for a long time now and with eth 2.0 at hand, there could actually be a reason to hold your eth longer, even if you have a 20% profit ready to be cashed out, but that being said, this is still not an advice to hold, read the first paragraph and decide for yourself what you want to do.

I think you should hold this coin until it reaches ETH V2. From my point of view, until the beginning of the year this coin will still go up drastically especially if you are strong enough to hold this coin until it reaches ETH V2

I think when ethereum 2.0 is released or close to release there is a possibility that ethereum's price could be better than now but this is only an estimate considering ethereum's price once touched more than $1000 so i think approaching ATH is still reasonable.

So, when you are fealing still have a good trend but your predicted is wrong your initial amount of trade not getting affected at all. What's you get from the down price your estimation profit just decrease, my self always doing that's for more safe trade because don't know the exact situation market when you want more but could be the down trend can more than your profit % and turn out you on the lose position when the price is crash.

ETH will have a big change this year, it will move from PoW to PoS, and when that happens the prize will bump, and i think that because people will need close to 32ETH for the staking. So, the holders will complete to that amount to start staking, and that means a lot of buy orders, that always end in a price bump. That's why i recommend you to hold them until ETH 2.0 comes to us.

And remember the ATH of ETH was a lil more to $1000 each coin, so, it's not even close to that price right now, maybe the next ATH will be up to $2k. Is about time.

I would not suggest to sell because it is more of a buying time than selling because of few reasons especially due to eth 2.0 the ethereum is strongly placed to grow well. Secondly we all know we are sitting right at the start of parabolic bull wave so i will suggest to hold for 6 to 12 months for massive gains hopefully.

Its good decision to sell your ETH. Because you are in profit (20%). If can make a choice hold 1 or 2 ETH for long time, not for daily trade. Rest of ETH sell and wait for dip. Also you can move others altcoins for trade, if you think it will take time to reach ETH dip.

It good you already have the knowledge to know that Ethereum is among the safe haven cryptocurrency in the market because safe haven coin is not measured through the rate the coin claimed on capital market.
With that been said, utility and good potential coin in the market are expected to follow the trend of Bitcoin and also make a new ATH which is yet to happen so if you decide to sell all your holding now you may miss the upcoming benefit and I will advise you to sell 50% of your ETH into stablecoin which youll also use to buy back when the price is down so you can make more profit and also dont miss out the upcoming benefit either.

it's very hard on the classic market achieve these profit in a short period of time. I think it's could be a wise idea decide to exchange again in cash.
If you have a plan in the "long" term, like hold without trading there is a different scenario, but differentiate your portfolio is always a big advantage

The DeFi fenzy demand is still here and not going soon in my opinion. The demand is still here, you tell right by the transaction carried out on the network.
It also depends on Bitcoin, alts can not perform alone with Bitcoin correction. They tend to follow Bitcoin path, so in conclusion, sell if you know you are in profits.

if you believe to ethereum future why you sell it now ? aren't we ever see ethereum price new price above $1000 in few years ago, i am believe in could repeated within in a year. moreover there is strong trigger for eth price in november, core developers planned to release eth 2.0 and i am sure price will moon due of this.

20% is already a good profit but if you sell your Ethereum now there is a big chance that it will not go down again you chance is slim to buy it back at a much lower price you will have to wait for another big drop, better sell a percentage of you Ethereum and wait for another all time high to sell again, especially now there is a big talk about version 2 that will push the price of Ethereum.

you are already in the profit zone and I think it's better if you sell coins and then move into the potential coins.
Imagine when you are investing about 1k in the past and this time your investment have turned into the 1200 and you can take your $200 as your intial capital to invest in the legit project again and make it doubled.

I think that you should also try to decrease the risk of your money too but that depends on the result of your DYOR. It looks like ethereum is quite difficult to break $400 without a big news from the development progress.

I suggest you to hold for it more longer. You know that 20% profit is already decent enough, but it is also depend on what is your target profit. Right now in my opinion it's showing an uptrend, as same as bitcoin since ethereum are following the uptrend of it. You can sell at any point and also buyback later after the correction happening, don't go all in but buy it for regularly.
