[TAX] Foreigner in Greece wondering about the taxation

Hello everyone!

Hoping to get some thoughts / ideas / info/ tips what to do.

I simply have to cash out some btc into euros and do it the official way, which is to cash it out and transfer it into my bank account in Greece (I need the money to be clean aka "white"). However I'm finding it next to impossible to find out how it will be taxed. I've talked to multiple accountants and others trying to get some answers but no luck.

So thought to ask over here as well about the possible tax percentage I'd have to pay when I suddenly receive money from the exchange? How should the accountant handle it etc?

Any tips, info, hints ..anything would be hugely appreciated!

Sorry for getting back to you in English instead of Greek (I don't speak it), but what I mean by that is that I have to claim it. I cannot go the route of revolut etc with it.

The taxation. Say I mined it / did exchanges during the years. What would the tax percentage be?

Hello, I am not sure about Btc, but any currency exchange and profits from this practice are tax-free(Not sure worldwide, but at EU for sure).

So I suppose that if Btc to Eur or Usd convertion is a form of exchange, then is tax-free

Also you say that revolut is not the way to go. Why? Have you tried it?

Also if you can cash in Greece or elsewhere as fiat and then claim it as your money send from abroad that could possibly work for you, there are some ways to do that as an ex pat living in GR

In brief you'll have to pay 15% tax (next year) plus "εισφορα αλληλεγγυης"-solidarity contribution,  from 0% up to 10% depending on the amount.
