They are not all auctions, some are "buy it now", you have to look it well.

Well for starters the 3080 costs $699 NEW...you cant buy a VII used for under $700 if you check ebay.  Amazon wants $1300 and Newegg has no offering.
So for your case 2 of the vii's will cost you $1400 to get total 200mh/s....and you are getting used.  For $1400 you can get 2 NEW cards which do 120mh/s each....so 40mh/s more with warranty.....

No, You are not able to buy it for that price, I am only see prices around 2000USD for one 3080...

On kawpow  it does 28 mhs, after ethash thats the most profitable algo, let me know which algos you think are relevant and ill run it.

Running at 1250core/1800mem, after ethash, the next profitable algo for my rx5700 is beamhashiii. after electricity costs, it makes the same as my rtx2080 mining grin (most profitable at the moment on nicehash)

Whattomine says a 5700xt does 25 140 watts on beam, 2080 does 30 190 watts, If we think about they are the same, 2080 has 25% more hashrate but consumes 25% more watts. However in the end 2080 is better due to density. I wonder how much a 3080 does on beam and progpow.

those PRELIMINARY KapoW #'s are really disappointing...
im still gonna grab some 3080's (only ones with good capacitors tho, some things never change, reminds me of early risers with the "good" capacitors)
once ETH fixes fees it wont be so profitable for these nutbags using current profit numbers for their buying decisions,
im saving my ETH rig upgrades for big Navi likely personally
i want my 30 series for niche coins, kapow, progpow, equihash variants, etc
i wont pay more than 1kCDN$ tho per card, above that ill just wait for 3070

once ETH fixes fees it wont be so profitable for these nutbags using current profit numbers for their buying decisions,

eth default hashrate for me is 30 mhs rx 580 and that is giving at moment $0,50 net, if it could reach $1 per day per rx 580 then would be a return to august 2016, at moment if this price keeps, $0.50 net then we have that eip if voted on, it will make any fees not going to miners anymore, so making that $0.50 net to go lower, possible $0.30 if eth $400 holds then we have eth 2.0, hybrid, reducing eth reward blocks to half, if eth is still $400 then from $0.30 to $0.15 net per 30 mhs, there is another eip https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/2878 , to reduce the eth block reward from 2 at moment to 0.5 eth, that will reduce 4x more, so $0.15 net will become $0.04 net per 30 mhs. The only way for eth to return to $1 per 30 mhs is if price increases 25x, from $400 to $10000, that would be 25 x $0.04 = $1 per 30 mhs, will it happen? not in the short term and by then eth mining will be dead. So do not buy expensive cards for mining, stop and think carefully. I would not even think about buying any gpus at all.

There is however a time when all 4gb gpus and asics will stop mining eth, november 2020, for a brief moment and if no eips were voted yet and eth 2.0 is not here yet then that $0.50 net could get close to $1 even if for a short amount of time, weeks to 3 months at most.

viabtc is paying me 0.0283 a mh I have a lot of 40mh cards so 40 x 0.0283 = $1.132 they will pay off in 250/1.13= 221 days.

I expanded from 5 + 6 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 4 + 4 = 24   and 20 1080ti to them and about 26 amd's

so the Nvidia  do 26 a day and the amd do 26 a day. that speeds payoff for me. big time as the Nvidia are paid off.

yeah 100mhs looks amazing hashrate for 3080 but i will not hurry because 3070 will be best for mining it has less tdp and im sure hashrates will be nice too. Nvidia is very solid cards i like pascal cards are very solid. Amd is good as long as ETH good. Ones ETH falls amd prices gets very low.

guys am the thread opener here, what do you think about keep mining with 1080 Ti, those are really cheap right now, half the price of a 3080, or should i wait once the 3080/3090 is available again ?...

am mining with nicehash, what platform is most profitable ATM ?...

i guess you are right, but the one am using is the 1080 Ti Waterforce, its the best in the market and doesnt go over 55c, so i like my card watercooled, sells for 400$-500$ on ebay, any idea when the 3080 or 3090 gonna be available and where to buy ?!...
