He must have bought you 1 eth instead so that it will be convincing for him to scam you. Anyway, I know that you know already OP that you have UNI in your digital wallet that could be sold to almost 3 eth I guess if it will be swap. Anyway, what matter here is not that you were being contact to get scam but you have resisted a scam event and that is good to share it here in the forum. I think you were not the only user that has been sent through PM for there are others too that has been doing this and might be a good chance after reading this post they might learn from this and will not get scam. One great share especially to the user that are holding with that UNI tokens.

Good for you, I guess he just wants a commission for telling you that you have a Uniswap airdrop in your wallet. Grin  Grin

The Uniswap airdrop was really a big money so some people want a piece of the airdrop so I'm not surprise that people try a lot of method like this to get a commission. But 50/50? is a joke  Grin

I dont know what are you thinking when you give youre 12 word phrase. I cant think that there are still people who fall on this kinds of scamming. I hope your experience will be a lesson for some.
Greediness can make anyone think sideways like this, but the happiness is that, he's not a victim. Victims of this scam are those who are attacked to greed. The ways telegram set it decentralized system still the best but scammers have taken their tore against sincere users so, let be vigilant in this regard and don't be greedy. I do had some scammers around my telegram handle but never give them the attention needed from me because they're cunning in nature.

I instantly report spam and delete the message once I don't know who the sender is. Moreover, if he offers me something unrealistically such as a promise to give a big amount of profits. The case in the OP is clear, it is scammer, at least if we consider 2 things.

1. How can someone risk his money to buy an empty wallet? It doesn't make sense. Once you see again something like this, just ignore it. Someone must do something realistically, moreover it is related to buying digital stuff like a crypto wallet.
2. If he is a real trader, he must be better to buy from an exchange. They just need to wait for the dip and buy at that time. Why he must do a complicated thing like that?   Cheesy

However, you are lucky that you realize it. You still hold your tokens, and the scammer got nothing.  Wink

How could he link your ethereum address to your telegram username?
How did he know you possess this address? Is there any bounty campaign where you applied with both the same eth address and tg id? This can help us know how this scammer finds his victims.
I am not sure if we can call this a scam, though!
