Well because of how risk averse i am, nothing wrong with buying that cable on amazon to try it then right?
I remember that we had this discussion already.
To put it simply, there is no risk to your cryptos stored in the hardware wallet.
Also would you recommend the blowdrying it like someone else suggested in the thread? Now if one method somehow works and it restores it, I assume if it does, it would be still a dimmed screen at best... then obviously enter wrong pin and reset it right?
You can literally do whatever you want it. If you are interested in trying it out, go for it.
But if it doesn't work, what should i do with it? Break it with a hammer? I mean there is no harm to just have it with me right? I obviously won't just toss it out in the garbage.
Preferably reset it. If you can't see anything because of the screen, put it in a microwave and break it with a hammer.
