Up for auction is the first edition from my new series of AR-enabled prints.
The proceeds will help fund Bitcoin billboards in the impoverished neighborhoods of each of the 12 US Federal Reserve Bank cities.
An eye-opening moment for me was first learning of the Cantillon Effect - something on full display during this pandemic.
In the past seven months alone, billionaire wealth is up 28%.
As the wealth gap grows by the day, I think it's imperative the less fortunate learn about Bitcoin as soon as possible.
About the print...
In 2016, I was invited to show work at Digital Garage in San Francisco.
Over the several months long exhibit, the piece most discussed was United Nodes of Bitcoin.
People gravitated toward this reimagined dollar which served as an educational tool for those wandering in off Market St. after seeing the "bitcoin accepted here" sign.
I recently finished the back and have created 21 signed prints featuring both sides of the artwork.
The framed edition is numbered with actual fiat and includes numerous Bitcoin references - some more obvious than others.
I collaborated with friend and fellow artist
Josie Bellini to bring the works to life via augmented reality. The AR can be seen in action here:
Proceeds will be earmarked toward Clear Channel and OUTFRONT Media billboards displaying the United Nodes artwork alongside timely messages about Bitcoin as an alternative to our broken financial system.
