Unfortunately, there are tons of them and not only in Uniswap but also in other exchanges. Some of them may look visually appealing, but as you explore information about it, then you will see the difference between a real and fake token. In terms of describing it, their website looks crappy, and there's no contact information, they also steal pictures from other people to present on their website as part of the team. Typically, after they scam and embezzle money from people, they delete their website and deactivate their account from different platforms, so no one will be able to contact them.

You can check some of them here:

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

Who saw before?

How do you describe them?
Of course, why won't there be scam tokens? Since it claimed to be a decentralized exchange where anyone can just go and claim they have a project and list their shit token,so certainly they are many scam tokens on uniswap, which has little or no value at all, you just have to look at their daily trading volume, they are very easy to spot cus they have low liquidity, make sure you do your own research before you trade there.

You can see all listed coin/tokens on UNISWAP on here.  https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/uniswap/

from CMC, we can see there are ~40 coin/tokens listed on there (5 of them don't have any volume anyway). I don't think it's scam or not, but rather about pump and dump coin/token on UNISWAP

How do we know if a token is actually a scam? Do we go by the volume of of the token in circulation? Should we determine by the white paper or by the team behind.

Yes, at UNISWAP it is very possible for scammers to enter because the requirements for listing on Uniswap are not that difficult. Useless tokens will easily list and search for victims,

How do we know if a token is actually a scam? Do we go by the volume of of the token in circulation? Should we determine by the white paper or by the team behind.
You will be able to find out the SCAM token when the team has left you, usually a sign of the team running away is that the website or product service in the project starts to stop operating

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?
...

Here you can see the fake Bella token that is traded on Uniswap: https://info.uniswap.org/token/0x52D111ba55f581635542c9a6533bD54a945E0ceA Trading of this fake token on Uniswap started before the real BEL token was listed on the Binance exchange. And here you can see a warning about this scams: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274542 I gave only one such example of placing a fake token on Uniswap, but in fact there are a lot of such fakes.

I think there is because UNISWAP is a DEX or a Decentralized exchange, thats why you better checked those tokens smart-contract first before you trade or buy any tokens because in a DEX platform everyone can add an Ethereum base token by just using the smart-contract, unlike in Centralized Exchange liked Binance, Okex, etc., that you cant just add your token or coin there without proper listing procedures.

I think there are some fake dumps and pumps token in Uniswap you should be careful on those still try to stick with the coins with large trading volume. But not quite sure if there's a scam token where they will run with your money but rather than faking the dumps and pumps to deceive you.

There are teams thats doing crowdfunding through Uniswap by tokens liquidity, you might wanna avoid joining by buying some of its tokens until its listed on other exchanges. There are also fake tokens there posing as other. In order to avoid scam tokens, it's best to put the contract address to make sure its the real token you are trying to buy. You can say this is one of the disadvantages of decentralization.

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

How do you describe them?

There are tons of scams projects on Uniswap sometimes you can easily spot them and, sometimes spotting them is a bit difficult that's why make sure that you are 100% sure that you are trading the correct contract otherwise, you could lose your money.

Or you can get the link of the token that you want to trade on UNISWAP on the token official thread or website checking the smart contract is another way to make sure that you are trading the correct token, with so many token in Uniswap be sure the tokens ha a good potential and with real usage and platform that the community can use.

This is a decentralized exchange. Anyone can add a token for trading. There are a large number of unverified tokens and some may be scammers. I think if you have been in cryptocurrency for a long time, then it will be difficult for you to get into a fraudulent project.

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

Who saw before?

How do you describe them?

Scam tokens can be in most exchanges mainly smaller exchanges but hardly will you see them on top exchanges but yet it doesn't mean one shouldn't be careful.
Now about Uniswap, first it is a Decentralized Exchange, meaning there is every probability that there will be scam tokens listed there. And since it is decentralized also means that, there is every tendency that most of them aren't verified or audited and the way they work is, pump the token to attract users and then dump everything and when such happens there is no way to track them. Therefore, before trading on Uniswap make sure to get the correct trading link or contract address from the team in question so that you don't go into trading a scam token.
In addition, before trading any token, endeavour to make your findings about it.

Uniswap is a decentralized exchange and that gives everyone the opportunity to list their tokens without meeting any tedious conditions. Due to this freedom of entry and exit on the platform, several scam tokens would emerge to take advantage of the gullibility and greed of investors who want to make maximum returns.

Season we are right now is a season many scammers aware that there are many customers in the market looking for new project to invest because they hard about the project is a good project for profit making. Not all coins are real coin some just created to scam those who are after token to invest.
Let all investors be aware of this season we are not to fall into the hands of the scammers. I think there are more fake tokens in the market to spoil people business.

This is very much possible. Since now Uniswap is very much popular (hype?) among all projects.
New, specially scam projects can list their token on uniswap to attract buyers.

Uniswap isn't seems as a good exchange to me. I notice so much unusually activities there, as well as scam tokens who have no volume. those scam tokens can easily listed on exchange like uniswap,p2pb2b exchange as they don't need to provide enough proof of their reality.exchanges list those project by getting money.they don't care about any scam tokens or trades who exprience loss due to those scam tokens

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

Who saw before?

How do you describe them?

It's not very hard to open a buy-sell option for a token in a dex like uniswap. Project doesn't need to provide information like CEX exchange so scam project listed there easily. Many scam project takes advantage of this DeFi hype and listed there to attract investors. Market manipulation can be seen there easily. Even Shit project price jump oven night. We should be careful when using the Dex exchange.

There are a lot of scam tokens listed on Uniswap, because most decentralized exchange allows anyone to list their token there.
That is why Uniswap always give warning first about the token address to be checked twice so we know for sure that is the right token we want to trade.

I do agree with your statement regarding it and the developer or team will always remind us about the possibility for the fake tokens to be listed on the uniswap by the scammers. There are so many scammers these days that are always tried various ways to create more and more scam projects.
There must be a filter on the uniswap to check whether the ticker has already taken or not. Uniswap needs a lot of improvements in its security. It can be abused by the scammers.

Apart from checking the volume also have a look at the number of trades and the number of holders of the coin in etherscan. Of the number of holders is too low and if large percentage is held by a few address, then it's probably a scam.
