I don't know why everyone is excited about this central authority, there is nothing special about this news and I wouldn't buy into their policy.
so from your PayPal account you can buy, sell, or hold the attributed market value of a cryptocurrency but you cannot withdraw the crypto to another PayPal account or transfer it to a crypto wallet address.
To get the liquidity out of your BTC for example, you have to sell the BTC value in your PayPal account to the exchange rate they set, and then you get USD in your PayPal account. From there on, the USD can be transfer to another PayPal account or withdrawn to your bank account with huge fee. This is bulshit.

It's likely more related in upcoming US election as per this cointelegraph news than here in PayPal news though it's a good news that PayPal is exploring in cryptocurrencies and are trying to improve more their service thru crypto. You haven't understood anything in all these years? You are so strongly attached to the dollar that you do not need a cryptocurrency at all - why do you need ETH, BTC and others if you still look to the future through a gap in the dollar?

I believe that such a step by PayPal is a great precedent, not because "wow, now you can buy cryptocurrency with dollars and pay with cryptocurrency via PayPal!!!!". No, that's not why.

It’s a good thing, we will be able to send payment and hold bitcoin in PayPal that will be cool. Although I would be happy if they will open up more of their services where I live, because the only thing I can do with the PayPal wallet is just to send and I can’t receive with it where I am currently staying. But I am still happy the way things are heading to now, it’s very great.

We should be looking forward to more of sweet news like this. I already knew that PayPal had a plan like this; when there is a rumour, a part of that rumour is usually true, and that’s what has happened here.
