Hello everyone.

I want to create a site where users will earn stellar lumens by doing tasks (created by other users). And I have some questions for you:
1) Would you be interested in something like this?
2) What kind of tasks should be allowed there? Small tasks (like clicks, registrations) or more serious tasks?

I know that’s not a unique idea, but I already run stellar node for another project, and I want to create something for stellar blockchain. Or should I make something different? I would love to hear your ideas.

Maybe build something like that for bitcoin, as you will find a bigger audience who would be interested in doing the tasks. I'd stay away from anything that sells incentivized "clicks" because real quality advertisers won't be long term customers, but registration and other small tasks would be a good idea.

Stellar is faster than bitcoin and the network fee is much more affordable (100k transactions for 1 lumen), so bitcoin is not an option in a project like that (where average transactions are less than 100 usd). If you like to know more, coinbase has a bunch of short videos about stellar.

There are a lot of projects like that, you can google if you like to know more, even amazon has a project like that.

Unfortunately, there will always be something like that. Finding a balance between preventing fraud or illegal activities and not annoy innocent uses is extremely hard.

Does that mean that you will allow that to happen?

I've used tasks websites before that pays in dollars but they have never required me to be involved in anything illegal just for the sake of the task.

Of course not. I'm saying that there will always be someone who will try to add tasks like that. The only solution to that problem is to pre-moderate every task, but it wouldn’t be fair to most users for multiple reasons.

Your tasks will be outsourced and I think that is a good option that you will pre-approved it first before appearing it to list of tasks users can take.

A filtering would be effective if that is possible but tasks providers has probably a different ruling on this. It is like "accept our tasks or we wont be sending you tasks."

Lightning network is not as convenient as owning a stellar wallet for most users, so Fortify’s argument that bitcoin has a bigger audience doesn’t apply to the lightning network. And as I already wrote I have running stellar node, so the project should be on stellar.

I want to have fees as low as possible (no fees would be ideal, but a referral program should exist on a project like that). And to be honest most tasks will require users to go to 3rd party websites that can be changed after approval. So I think that one moderator to deal with complaints should be enough. And a reward system for users that report illegal tasks.

I agree, faucet as a separate project is not a good idea. But I’m thinking of adding a faucet to my other project (stellarprize).

You could create a service like fiverr where people offer their services but in your platform, it would be for stellar. That way the only cost you have is the operation cost. If the users are the ones to request and offer the service, then you are just the bridge to let them trade.

Small task will do (like what you mentioned) this is to get more people interested for doing it. You can also add serious task, so users has an option whats best suits them. Its either a simple task or the serious one.

Implementing both types will be a bit tricky. With serious tasks usd (or local currency) value of lumens would matter more than crypto itself. Imagine completing a 50 usd task and end up with 40 usd. But I'll think about what can be done.

This idea for 5$ task would work with current Stellar price of .081 would mean someone could earn 62 XLM for small tasks.

You would be able to find users who would work for this reward me being one of them.
