How quickly BTC can move upwards is more of a function of how desperate people are to sell coins when given an opportunity to cash out some profit. If, on every exchange, only 1 person has BTC listed for sale and only decided to sell it at $20k, then as buyer begrudgingly buy small amounts at $20k price across all exchanges the price will be adjust to $20k. But that's not the case as there are massive sell walls. The current US election, the covid plandemic, government bans on crypto and other factors are influencing people's sell wall. Good news on the world stage usually help bring down that sell wall. A weaker monsoon season for example would help Asia/Africa.

Can't deny paypal, the main reason behind the recent pump of bitcoin and revived the user's hope that is about to lost on bitvoin.its true that the price was unable to stay long upto $13k, but the fact is, finally bitcoin pump the biggest high in this year.don't know what is waiting at end of this year.but already bitcoin start improving and i think, bitcoin will go back to the highest peak of mountain $20k even more.
Getting that Paypal is a huge deal in bitcoin, a lot of Paypal users could potentially be investors in cryptocurrency when it is available for buying and selling.
Well, I am afraid that this will happen but for sure most paypal users know how bitcoin will works. If I were one of the paypal users and I want to buy bitcoin. I will not use paypal, you can't hold your bitcoin as you have ownership. Paypal will the only one who controls your bitcoin.
We now have stability in the $13k range on the market and did not even continue rising. Perhaps, most of the investors have been quickly cutting their profit once they know that bitcoin was pumped too much with a day. However, a presidential election was near to come, I hope this will not give a negative impact on bitcoin.

Surely users like us would not gonna put our bitcoin in Paypal that is just like a custodial wallet that you don't have control, especially if you have a big amount of funds.

Most of us would prefer a wallet that has a private key but still getting Paypal would give bitcoin potential investors.

Thinking about the Presidential Election, that could potentially affect the market but I'm not sure if the cryptocurrency market is gonna be affected. Last time we see a movement from the value of USD.

Sometime today, Bitcoin broke the $13k barrier and then retreated back to $12.8k.

This is Binance screenshot and now that I'm watching it, seems like it broke $13k almost a day ago.

But I'm not seeing any posts about this on the forum so I'll just post it.
Total market cap also went over $400B which is cool.

Will is stay above $13k this time?

Everyone is deserving to have this price of bitcoin because everyone did their best to have a bigger price. If no one trusts bitcoin, its price won't become like that and we cannot do a thing to move it. It will only move if there is a bitcoin buyer. I hope that the price stays above 13k so that all of us can earn a lot of money for a long duration of time. If bitcoin continues like this, no one can stop the mass adoption all of us are waiting. I also hope that bitcoin won't get a big problem so it continues like this.

In my opinion, PayPal will take the right step towards the mass adoption of Bitcoin (and 3 more altcoins) in early 2021. I'm almost sure a lot of customers will buy a Bitcoin pegged asset backed by the company as an investment, because many people are aware of the next mining reward halving which is likely to positively impact on the BTC price in 2023-2024.

I also heard that PayPal plans to partner with Paxful which has strong security system. Buying a PayPal asset which is related to Bitcoin will immediately initiates a buy deal in the cryptocurrency market.

I'm glad to see that Bitcoin has crossed a $13K threshold again due to recent good news.

Well, for me, this is a movement to watch, but I think this jump in price was probably caused by PayPal announcing an interest in cryptocurrencies.
I am happy to know that some institutions and companies are joining cryptocurrencies, this only helps to aggregate and massively disclose cryptocurrencies

PayPal is the first mainstream payment processor to include Bitcoin in its platform. It is like a glass ceiling being broken, after a frustrating wait of many years. Since now PayPal has done it, we can expect others such as Visa, Master, Moneygram, Western Union, Amex.etc to follow suit. Also, I would like to have Bitcoin as a payment option in online retailer sites, such as Amazon, Ebay.etc.

Thanks for correction, i think I expressed it wrong.
In fact, PayPal adhering to cryptocurrencies is a "game changer". I would really like that to happen, imagine, Master Card, Visa and other companies that you mentioned accepting cryptocurrency!? !! Bitcoin price would go to the moon

One company I would like to share that bought (a lot) bitcoin, was MicroStrategy.
With these types of corporate attitudes, we can see that cryptocurrencies are gaining ground today.

The news regarding to PayPal already triggered those people who are not yet well aware of this industry, people who are only using PayPal will gain knowledge about crypto.

The fact that they already seen it added to PayPal will bring their attentions and start seeking for their own opportunities, in this time of pandemic where people are trying to find additional opportunities. Bitcoin will be an answer for them.

I hope by the end of this Christmas we will be above 15,000 USD. The coming year 2021 seems to be good for bitcoin and cryptosystem. Now the Paypal has also made announcements regarding its acceptance of bitcoin.

I feel great of what I saw on the chart now but now the value is more than $12,000 but is still good value. It is the result of patient of the crypto user and this is it and we can back again the bull market before the ends of the year happens.

Next week I think the value is around 13k to 14k dollars until it reach back again the value of 20k dollars per bitcoin and once it happen again hoping that every one will take care about that price and don't dump again the value because increasing and waiting is not easy .

Yes paypal has a huge impact to the value of bitcoin now that they are openning the door for their users to buy and sell bitcoin using their paypal account. And the fact that many investors of bitcoin are using paypal. Bitcoin is really improving and there are many improvements ahead that's why the value of bitcoin keep on moving forward and we're looking forward for the another ATH of bitcoin this year.

Some crypto media sites posted the update when the price was at $13,000 the first time. I think everyone is aware that the price will be going up, that's what it has been doing. Earlier this year we got to this point before the pandemic dragged everything from the top to the floor.

So, I looked forward to it getting to this level and it has been doing just that; the price has been slowly going up, if you can remember we reached $12k before the drop to the floor. The price will soon be stabilizing on this $13k just as it did with $12k before slowly moving to $13k, I have seen that with the way it's going. Last 24 hrs was above $13,100 and now it's $12,950.

Long time bitcoin  was in the range of 10-11.but now it's performing very well and broke 13k which is absolutely brilliant.Just waiting for the time the price will be above 15k.Probably 2021 will be explosive for bitcoiners.

It was great to see that bitcoin is now making another increase from $10k to $13k in a short period of time. It seems that bitcoin will sky rocket again anytime soon. So, time hold more bitcoin in our pocket but still we need to take the risk.

Already predicted it, and I'm hoping that it reaches the 15k$ mark or make another new ATH.

Reaching $13k today is a good sign that bitcoin will dominate the market.

Is this a bull run for the year 2020?

Bitcoin has been dominating for a long time, and it could very well hit 15k in 2020. Now the price has dropped below 13k again, but this is normal. Bitcoin has repeatedly broken through the 12k barrier, and most likely will be so with subsequent levels up to 15k.
The second half of the year can be considered a bull run for bitcoin, but not for altcoins, which further fall in price. Perhaps this is the result of an overflow of funds from altcoins to bitcoin.

We still don't know if bitcoin will go 15k again and we are hoping for that thing. I already invested all my money to bitcoin and waiting until the highest value came. If 15k is the highest value that will come this year, it will be a big help for me because i can start trading on 2021 with a big starter funds. Bitcoin is doing pretty well on the past few months so I decided to predict that bitcoin will surely reach 15k for this year but if it doesn't come, I'll still continue my bitcoin daily life.
