How do I mathematically convert the figure for my Electrum wallet balance into USD?

Mathematically?
If it's fiat balance, you can enable it in the settings: "Tools->Preferences->'Fiat' tab" - Select "USD" under "Fiat Currency".
Wait for a few minutes and/or restart Electrum to connect to the source's API.

You may have to play with the "Source" because some of them didn't work at my end.
Mine is set to CoinDesk.
If it's the Android version, the setting is in: "Menu (...)->Settings->Fiat Currency".

1.Just copy the balance of your electrum.
2. Search on your browser "BTC to USD"
3. Paste the amount of the bitcoin.
4. You will get the estimated value.

OP had not been asking how to find BTC/USD price into Google. He is asking how it's possible to see BTC/USD price into the Electrum wallet. Why is it necessary every time copy paste on Google since all you have in a single wallet? Are you reading other's posts or just replying your own opinion? Because complete answer has given by @nc50lc.

If you don't want you can  use the coinmarketcap, binance, or coinbase.

Google collecting price from Coinbase, so technically, you have been seen price from the coinbase.
