According to CCN, the founder of HEX, was formerly known as ‘Spam King’, who was sued by Peacefire.org for violating Washington state's anti-spam laws back in 2002. The article also states that (name omitted for potential dox) is "linked to a Panama criminal network which included corrupt lawyers and judges". Additionally, it has been reported that he has also "sold anti-aging cures" while he volunteered for the The Methuselah Foundation, an organization committed to extending the human lifespan and "making 90 the new 50".

Now he has created a cryptocurrency - to be exact an ERC20 token - which claims to be “designed to increase in value” and “will replace gold and credit cards”. It is interesting as the founder has written a blog post back in 2017, stating 9 reasons why ethereum is inferior compared to bitcoin. Now it seems as though he is fully embracing the Ethereum Blockchain. His contradictory statements and previous criminal records do not bring any confidence to his claims that HEX will be there to replace gold and credit cards in a few years time.

There are many people such as Tone Vays and Peter McCormack, as well as websites such as (https://www.hexscam.com/), openly criticizing the project to be fraudulent. One of the reasons behind this is because of the lack of transparency revolving around the 'origin-address'.

"Origin address earns a copy of the rewards that other users do. Critics have suggested that Heart stands to gain the most wealth from this — though Heart himself has implied that the origin address is not under his control. In any case, this lack of transparency might be concerning to some." - CryptoBriefing

Off-topic: You may get in trouble legally if you reveal their names like that in public and accuse them of scamming.

First, they've put themselves their names on the project, so you can't call this doxxing.
Second, leave CCN to deal with lawsuits if Richard whatever wants to sue something, which obviously he won't.

Third, stay away from this garbage, we just got rid of bitcoincub, now this...

Exactly. They're "public figures", at least on Crypto Twitter.

I've thought about creating a thread like this about HEX in the past days, too. There's been a lot of red flags on Richard Heart (which isn't his actual name, btw), and until his HEX scam smart contract became public on the Ethereum blockchain, it was just that: red flags. You could feel there's something wrong with him, and reading up on him substantiated that impression, but it was nothing really palpable.

The smart contract revealed his true nature, and how much he contradicted himself when he publicly opposed projects like ZCash due to their "developer fee". Crypto is probably, like for many shitcoin developers, nothing more than a quick money grab for him.

It was well known that it is a scam, as is known with most other currencies, now, people knows this and "invests" eitherway, should be no surprise. Now seems it is on vogue to create newbie accounts and talk about obvious scams in a trust farming tactic, wonder where the users coming from, perhaps same people that been pestering the forum for years with scams and scam projects.

It is a unexpectedly well written post taking count it was a newbie, cheers.

Who would take your word here, specially a newly created account just to shill for this project? HEX has been called out multiple times in this community and we have heard so much about this scam already. You don't need to be. rocket scientist to see that this project is really fraudulent from the very get go so stop shilling for it. Believed me, members here are more intelligent than that.

I was thinking just as you but i bothered to open that link, anyhow i don't really trust these sites as they might get untrustworthy projects on top for money even if exposing obvious scams, same goes for this bunch of newbies into the forum being all enlightening.

This isn't a scam and no one has actually pointed out anything that makes it a scam. All the top coins have huge amounts that go to the founders.
Bitcoin- 1million mined by satoshi, basically a premine
ethereum- 70% or so was insta created given huge amount to founders
ripple- vast amount owned by founder, constantly sells it.

hex was a completed project on release and there is nothing that actually makes it a scam, no false promises. A lot of people call anything they don't own a shitcoin.

You didn't nail a proper explanation for neither of the cases, not even for ripple which isn't a crypto-currency.

Edit: Hex is known for long enough and ofcourse was expected to be a scam, like really how many actual projects you got out there? 0 all bullshit, keep leeching.

What makes me believe in this HEX scam accusations is because of it downfall and crash on hex price, all the team sold out their allocated token making crash on coins value in market, after this incidences, bounty campaigns was lunched to raised up the price but now way. HEX left bounty campaigners in pains after then.

Hi, thanks for your response. You are right, this is a newly created account, but we have been analyzing crypto assets for more than 4 years now. Actually, we are not shilling the project, quite the opposite. We analyzed the project and found what is wrong and we also think that it is fraudulent.

Unlike other people, who just point fingers at most crypto projects and call them scams, we analyze the fundamental aspects of each project at Baserank.

With HEX our short conclusion is "HEX is a "well designed" Crypto scam scheme, please avoid it."

I encourage you to read the review.

Yes, RH has a sordid history and cannot be trusted but what he did build, the first tokenized CD, is genius. I forsee a future when banks and institutions use tokenized CDs as part of their every day business activities. The issue with HEX is not that it has bad code, it's that RH owns a large portion of the supply and there is unfair distribution. Additionally, revenue for holders is solely generated by inflation and withdrawal fees. For the token to actually have value and produce sustainable yield, it needs utility. MAXX finance cracked the code and found that by upgrading the contract and adding token transacton fees and validator node revenue sharing that they could effectively produce sustainable yield.
