In my opinion, almost everyone wants cryptocurrency to return to its glory in 2017, but until now this moment has not been repeated even every year people always predict that next year cryptocurrency will experience massive adoption. I hope 2021 will come true as expected
The possibility is high that we can have another all time high and surpass what 2017 achieved, this is because of the halving the 2017 halving happens because of the halving so, it's possible now that we've just had halving last year, the halving has a huge impact coupled with good news like the PayPal news.

Get ready fellas, it looks like 2021 will be the year we've been waiting for since 2017, PayPal CEO, Dan Schulman, disclosed its clients are signing up to be the first to use the company’s crypto services at an alarming rate. PayPal has started to permit 10% of its customer base to buy, sell, and hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin. What do you think will start happening from here on ? Huge adoption
Maybe 2021 will be like 2017 or like what some others in this thread saying the bitcoin price as of this moment is already soaring high, but i think what matter most is the fact that you should prepare yourself for the exit strategy maybe bit by bit or something so that you will not be caught in between when the price make a turn. Personally i got friends that got greedy in 2017 and almost all of his profit is being washed off as he does not do his money management.

obviously this will be a significant breakthrough. How about not waiting long enough from 2017. Imagine there will be lots of bigger transactions in 2021. So that the strong push towards bitcoin is completely unstoppable. maybe investors are looking forward to PayPal's involvement with bitcoin. so that bitcoin enters its golden gate again.
Time flies. It seems that 2017 was…yesterday. Hope, 2021 will be a better period from all points of view. Bitcoin is changing now (one of the reasons for these rotations) due to the USA elections. However, this is just my guess. You can argue.

maybe the news has also had an impact on the current crypto market situation. You can see for yourself that in the last few days or to be precise now the price of BTC has increased up to $ 15k and ETH is approaching $ 450. this is one of the most significant price movements, this is what makes me even more convinced that 2021 is a good year for cryptoqurrency.

What else do we expect mate, PayPal has been into the payment system for decades and with such reputation from investors their moved into buy and sell cryptocurrencies is a good one for us. We should expect more move from good companies who have been into payment system like PayPal inc. The news from the CEO Mr Dan is an introduction to a new bullish year and ahead bullishness after the year end. 2020 will end on a good note and 2021 will be a good year from the beginning and hope to see 2021 end in good mood.

Yeah, there are similarities with 2017
In 2017 we had ICO scamming people. Now we have DeFi scamming people.
Bitcoin support by paypal, the halving, corona virus crisis and good bitcoin price performance, all that together, made a lot of eyes turn into bitcoin. I hope people focus in what is important in this ecosystem: bitcoin.
Stay away from defi scams and be safe.
When the pandemic started, I literally think bitcoin will die but It is very interesting to see that the price has risen better than the previous year when there was no pandemic and to cap it all, we are seen a big adoption by paypal which for me, I could not believe when the rumour started but here we are now, about to witness another history

In fact I think it has started now, let's see if the price of bitcoin can reach 20k by the end of the year ? not something that is impossible will happen. But what happened in 2017 was not the same as what happened today, because at that time many altcoins were also going up in price and many ICOs were very profitable. This year, I think there will only be a few altcoins that will follow the bitcoin trend.

that's probably true but I'm more expecting steady growth of price rather than a burst of pumps and then pop off like a bubble. The adoption will bring the whole crypto market real benefit rather than temporary pump so It's actually better year than 2017. Many big corporate and countries also starting to put their attention to crypto but not in a bad way. I'm more pumped for this year than in 2017

Yeah we are thinking about the same thing, the time we are looking forward to. There are so many good things that can be obtained in 2020 and 2021 will be a golden era. But I also don't want to get your hopes up and just keep my assets in a few top altcoins. Hopefully altcoins will go up as bitcoin is starting to experience a tremendous rise

The news regarding Paypal adopting crypto currency made the price increase of bitcoin. This has become a huge factor, we can all hope for a brighter future and more pumps from bitcoin and also in altcoins.

We should calm down about the altcoin prices because lets be honest when Bitcoin increased to 20k it took altcoins a while to reach there but when people came to crypto world hearing about the 20k bitcoin, they realize it was too late to get involved with bitcoin and got involved with altcoins instead.
One instance I remember was "IOTA" which is nowhere to be found honestly nowadays and nobody cares about it even if it ranks well, yet those days it was such a big thing around these parts and everyone talked about how it will make us all rich, same goes with "nano" which was named something else, so at the end of the day after bitcoin big increase, there comes people who will pump altcoin prices. I see ETH specially getting affect of this, 1k+ eth price is nothing shocking in the next 6 or so months.

It really looks like 2017 for Bitcoin but will it won't be the same for altcoins because in 2017 and 18 many alts were pumped by the ICO boom that started right when many people started thinking about realizing their profits from Bitcoin tradin. Many of these money were moved to altcoins because people thought they can make even more money investing in low market cap projects with a lot of potential. They also saw the potential for growth in the at the time overpumped BCH and XRP.
This won't happen again.
You can expect some alts to pump because of Bitcoin but most altcoins no longer follow bitcoin but react to their own development. You could see that by ETH pumping when news of 2.0 tests came out and shitcoins like XRP trading for less than thay did 2 weeks ago despite huge Bitcoin pump this week.

I have always waited and hope it will create a boom in the crypto market as well as the current financial market. Actually when i was talking to someone who had just heard about crypto, i talked about the problem of paypal accepting btc in payment, they started asking me a lot and curious about what it was, What use or technology? , actually we are too small and not popular yet, hopefully later but such important events will help this market to know more people, and the opportunities for us will increase.

I'm not that moved because Bitcoin is so bullish right now, not until altcoin season begins, as for those who are holding only bitcoin well it's time we should start congratulating them, thanks to PayPal for finally understanding the potential of crypto after the old hate chills on crypto, my advice is everyone should get rid of their greed and take advantage of future price benefits. Don't hesitate

It looks like it's around the corner but we can never be 100% sure I always remember how volatile the market is and one big bad news is enough to crash the market, not because another all time high is looming we are going to sell all we've got and buy Bitcoin, it's still invest only what you can afford to lose.

If we do not care about just the prices itself, I do not see this anything different than 2019 honestly, it is quite the similar thing that happened for investors. In 2019 we started the year at around 3.6k or so levels and reached to 14k levels and finished with 7k levels. I agree that we are closer to end of the year now but same thing happened this year as well, we started at 7k and peaked at 15.5k now and if we do not fall it could be different but if it falls before the year ends it is not going to be like 2017 but more like 2019.
So, we should not look at prices only, we should look at the bigger picture and realize that aside from 2018, ever year has been profitable if you bought at first day and sold at last day, and if you kept it for 2 years that means even more profit.

big news always comes to the crypto world now of course this news will make investors smile but if it's in same as 2017, I think it's not worth it because now the sharp increase happened only for bitcoin very different when 2017 all coins simultaneously went up don't know what happened hopefully the situation will recover quickly

The news regarding Paypal adopting crypto currency made the price increase of bitcoin.
Although, it sounds plausible I don't think that BTC price as it is right now is as a result of Paypal. Show me indisputable evidence and I'll believe you then. I think there are a lot of different factors at play, I may not be aware of them all but the fact that putting money in traditional stocks or banks due to the pandemic is not longer a safe haven is an option. I believe the pandemic in a way helped with the adoption of crypto, at least partly, where people needed to look into ways to either save their money or use as alternative to buying on a decentralized market. In any case, the bottom line that we might be seeing a redo of the 2017 craze is probably on the way

There was so many bad news happened with bitcoin since a few months ago but it didn't even give a big impact to the bitcoin's price. The similar pattern is also happening in the market with 2017's patter. The market is also much stronger with the come of billionaires to buy bitcoin. Paypal adoption has been making bitcoin even bigger than before. This time the support in the market is very strong. People buy bitcoin with a reason and it's not the same like 2017.
