Hello friends,

I am working on a DeFi project and I need some test net BTC. I have seen some faucets but they don't give more than 0.001 BTC. But I need a huge amount (around 1BTC). Can you please lend me? I promise to pay it back after my project was done. Thanks!

(sorry if it is not a good place for asking this. I'm kind of noob)

Regards.

I have > 1 tBTC in my wallet... I use it to fund my faucet.
However, I don't lend out tBTC to people i don't know without asking for collateral. If i'd give 1 tBTC to every new profile that promises to return the tBTC after his/her tests were done, my wallet would be empty by now, and i would have to shut down my faucet...

tBTC is worthless, but it's supprisingly expensive to mine...

If you're OK with giving a decent collateral, i'll give you an estimation of how much i'd cost to mine 1 tBTC, so i can give a decent collateral estimation...

Please don't give TNBTC to people who are just hoovering it up to paid by defi scams based on it.

Real testing just needs tiny amount, the people who "need" large amounts are selling it.  (technically trading it for defi testnet defi tokens which they expect to get converted into real value once that scams they are participating in go live).

This abusive and anti-social behaviour has made it hard for people to get testnet for actual bitcoin testing because they've drained all the faucets and conned the people that have historically given it out out of theirs.

It's also forcing bitcoin development to abandon testnet for testing.

DeCentralised Finance... it's the latest fad in the cryptocurrency sphere... and because it is so "new", there are bound to be a ton of scams involving all sorts of "get rich quick" schemes.

Fun fact: "DeFi" isn't actually all that new... it's just a buzzword and people like buzzwords Tongue

What the hell is a defi?
This is how I first described it:
LoyceV (Legendary)
10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?

"This is the first time I hear that name. A quick search shows that it has to do with centrally controlled code-is-not-law Ethereum, and since The DAO they've lost all credibility when they abandoned everything they said to stand for to protect their own financial interests. I'm still amazed people fell for that. Smart contracts can't work if the only person who understands the contract is called: "The Attacker". I simply gave up on following anything related to Ethereum, because the entire coin is build upon a flawed foundation."
My opinion hasn't changed. The spam is increasing though Sad
