Touchpad buttons on Dell stopped working

Title say it all. Dell Latitude.

Started with the right button only reacted when pressing the left side (of the right button). Was like that a couple of weeks.
Then one day non of the buttons worked. Came back after a reboot.
Now both buttons are dead. Tried troubleshooting within the Dell Software, but everything are supposed to work correctly according to both Dell software and in the settings of Windows.

*Side note. The dead buttons occurred after using the Tor browser. Normally use Chrome and Brave. Probably no connection, but mention is anyway.

I once had a Dell and I remember the Dell community in being helpful when I needed to install drivers on a older machine.

How long you have been using that device? Normally touchpad issues occurs with ageing of devices and most particularly due to power shortage.So please check the power cable and battery health.If you have any other cable please check with it and I can assure that it will work after changing the cable.

Just see if the issue persists in the safe mode as well.
Just to rule out a software issue though it looks more like a failing button

Try to uninstall all of the software when it started to react like that.

IIRC, there's always that reaction when the software isn't compatible with the lappy. Might not be the actual solution but it's not that time-consuming to try.

 Sounds like a swollen battery.  How old is the unit?
