is there a good guide to flashing my nvidia 2080 to make more power efficient

ok, so im not exactly new but its been so long since iv minded or flashed a card and then i owjned several AMD 580's and have a nvidia now so need some refreshers.

A. is there a good guide on how to flash my card or is flashing even neccisary with the 2080 series?

banyone have values that i should aim for like 1300mhz clock and boost to memory or is that all in the guide

No there is no guide out there that flashing nvidia cards would improve your mining and power efficiency. It's not the same as AMD cards like rx470,rx480 or rx570 cards.

But updating the flash bios depending on the support like palit might increase your power limit like this post https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/9sfkjh/2080_ti_bios_flash_from_115_to_130_power_palit_to/

If you want to improve your power efficiency use MSI afterburner to underclock this card and look for other miner's with good settings that more power efficient.

As user above said, Nvidia GPUs are not the same as AMD, no bios mod and straps to change
And be careful because there are a lot of scams about some ETH pill to increase the hashrate of RTXs

With Nvidia usually we can overclock the memory, if you are lucky and got good memories you can overclock to + 1000mhz, reduce the TDP to something like 60% to achieve the best efficiency and you can overclock or underclock core clock depending on which algo are you mining, if it's ethash you can reduce core clock to keep your GPU less hot and more efficient

It's easy to deal with Nvidias and hit the sweet spot for mining

Sometimes it can give some profit but it`s really small to flash it. I remember only one time it had a reason - it was flashing Palit GameRock to Palit SuperJetStream. Or SJS to GR, i dont remember correctly.

I do not advise you to experiment with bios of nvidia video cards, if it was not done before you with the same card and with the same memory.
It is better to try to find the optimal settings in the MSI autoburner or similar programs.
I only flash when the video card gives out a lower hashrate
