Independent physical bitcoin to trade alongside digital bitcoin?

Alongside the popular physical bitcoins that carry the actual digital bitcoin , theoretically would it be possible to issue a simplified version that simply trades at the price of bitcoin , which in every other respect would be a seperate entity , like bitcoin there would be a 21 million maximum mintage produced over time.

You could call it a poker chip , coin , round , madallion. It's not designed to compete in any way with bitcoin , its a physical version of bitcoin , a seperate entity the only thing that it would share with bitcoin is the price and quantity.

The initial distribution of these from the mint wouldn't be set at the price of bitcoin rather the cost of the copper plus production Sub $1.00 each

So it's just a coin that says bitcoin on it, but it doesn't have anything to do with bitcoin but the name?  What's the point?  Why would someone buy it?  What's the target audience, and the intended use?  Just asking for clarification cause either I don't get it (entirely possible), or this is just not a good idea.

I guess if enough people decide and agree on something being currency , then it doesn't matter what it is.
Would people agree that  a minted coin with the word bitcoin is worth 1 bitcoin?  not

would love to see that on casascius coins, maybe you two could work out something together. i think it'd be perfect for some limited edition casascius coins!
i would probably buy couple of silver one's with that front design

Maybe the hologram sticker could fit over the "microchip" on the reverse side , that's probably too small an area to be workable at 11mm square though 



........the idea I had was very much theoretical about there being double the total number of bitcoins half physical half digital with one sharing the others value , its not possible of course the price cannot be pegged in that way.
