For our vision, we have been selected by Parity to take part in the Substrate Builders Program and will be part of the Polkadot ecosystem going forward.

Cybersecurity
A Layer-7 firewall in a mesh network that is updated in real time:
Network attacks from the entire network will be unified into a database, which can be understood as a distributed firewall, solving the defects of a traditional firewall of independent, one-sided protection.

Internet Privacy
A decentralized, peer-2-peer network with end-to-end encryption:
Without the need for a central server, DPN is able to provide a fast and reliable internet experience without logs, avoiding one of the common pitfalls of traditional VPN services. DPN is truly decentralized, serverless, and distributed; user data can never be logged, leaked, hacked, or subpoenaed.

Net Neutrality
An internet access point that seamlessly bypasses region restrictions based on content requested:
Unlike traditional VPNs, Our patented IP Multiplexing can identify and seamlessly transition between different tunnels automatically to gain access to region-restricted content and optimize connection without the need for user configuration.

These are not three separate devices.
This is ONE device.
And we are calling it...
Deeper Connect

Deeper Connect Mini
A private, secure, and decentralized gateway to Web 3.0
Complete anonymity
Enterprise level security
Unstoppable Internet access

Intuitive
•Plug and Play with zero configuration
•No technical knowledge required to operate
•User friendly UI

Security
•Layer 7 Deep packet inspection
•360°protection for all home IoT devices
•Real-time threat identification via blockchain

Privacy
•Decentralized Private Network, next-gen VPN
•Proactive protection of user data acquisition
•Block ads, trackers, and malware across entire network

e² chain powers the company’s Decentralized Private Network, dubbed DPN, a peer-to-peer bandwidth marketplace where users can share bandwidth with each other in exchange for DPR tokens. DPN serves as the first killer application aimed to kickstart a decentralized sharing economy on our decentralized smart contract platform.

What sets our blockchain approach apart is our intense focus on real world applications and the end user experience instead of a solution chasing for a problem like most other blockchains.

We first built the application layer as the bottom layer, also called the deeper layer. Then we build the blockchain layer on top of an existing user base. This dual-layer structure forms a closed loop: The blockchain layer incentivizes the users to join the deeper layer to share bandwidth using block rewards. Devices in the deeper layer will earn micropayments and accumulate the credit scores when sharing the bandwidth, and they can delegate their credit scores into validators in the blockchain layer to secure the blockchain system.

Our unique Proof of Credit census algorithm ensures that our platform is secure and truly decentralized. The credit system we build can be used widely in various applications similar to traditional financial service.

From a broader perspective, our platform can serve as backbone infrastructure to the future of a decentralized Web 3.0. DPN is just one of the myriads of potential applications that can be realized on the platform. The potential is limitless when we release SDKs for developers to build third party dAPPs on our platform.

e ² chain
Deeper Network’s e² chain was built from the ground up to be the backbone of a decentralized web infrastructure. The e² chain is a truly decentralized smart contract platform characterized by high scalability and low power consumption. It can process up to 100, 000 transactions per second and is secured by the unique, energy-efficient Proof of Credit consensus algorithm that ensures fair mining participation for all.

There are two layers in the e ² chain. The top layer consists of hundreds of validator nodes and is secured by credit scores of Deeper devices; the more people involved in bandwidth sharing, the more secure the network will be. The bottom layer is called the Deeper layer, and it consists of peer-to-peer connected Deeper devices. These devices earn token rewards by sharing their bandwidth with each other. Mining rewards distributed to Deeper devices will incentivize more people to share their bandwidth. This closed-loop increases the security of the whole network; Deeper's PoC consensus protocol ensures the network is resistant to various common threats such as Sybil, Eclipse, and 51% attacks.

Proof-of-Credit
PoC is an innovative consensus algorithm that emulates the credit system in our daily life. It ensures true decentralization as every participant on the network is given an equal chance to contribute and earn rewards. It prevents one class of participants from dominating over others.

Unlike the standard Nakamoto consensus protocols, PoC does not rely on solving a complex computation puzzle to achieve consensus, instead, PoC allows Deeper devices to mine new tokens via bandwidth sharing with extremely low computing resources. The e ² chain miner tops out at a slim 15 watts, which is significantly lower than traditional ASIC/GPU miners.

AtomOS
AtomOS is the world’s first lock-free network operating system built with speed and security in mind. Via an original HIPE data structure and a lock-free design, multiple CPUs can filter and subcontract data packets making their processing highly scalable. It also guarantees that the data packet arrangement is consistent with its original order. AtomOS uses zero-copy technology to read data packets directly from network devices and hand them over for processing. This increases data packet forwarding speeds tenfold, as compared to traditional operating systems (such as Linux, FreeBSD, etc.). AtomOS also serves the function of a layer 7 firewall, performing deep high-speed filtering of data packets on generous hardware requirements. This results in a 10x reduction in costs compared to professional hardware used by traditional network firewalls.

Trident protocol
The Trident protocol is a decentralized, shared communications protocol based on blockchain technology. It circumvents network censorship, secures data transmissions, maximizes the use of network bandwidth, and reduces delays in the data packet transmission process. This is achieved thanks to the efficient integration of network technologies such as intranet penetration, data encryption, protocol camouflage, and tunnel layer congestion control.

* Bypass Censorship
Automatic configuration of network routing based on data stream characteristics, and whether or not to transmit through a tunnel. IP address will be changed based on the user routing rules and tunnels will be established to the US, EU, SG and CN by default.

* Enhanced Cybersecurity
A smart secure gateway that offers enterprise-grade cybersecurity with 7 layers of deep packet inspection; a sleek interface allows for visualization of all online activities happening on the network.

* Profiting from Bandwidth Sharing
Users can share idle bandwidth to earn Deeper tokens (DPR) as a reward. Users are incentivized to provide for the network, all without the need of a middle man mediating the transactions.

* Maintain Anonymity
Truly decentralized, serverless, and distributed; user data can never be logged, leaked, hacked, or subpoenaed.
* Monitor and Filter Network Traffic
Deeper Connect blocks trackers and ads on a network level. One device protects all devices on the home network. Families can set parental controls to further insulate children from harmful web content.

* Develop and Distribute DApps
DApps can be developed and distributed on the e ² chain and accessed from the Deeper DApp Store. Users can easily download any DApp from Deeper Connect and DPR micropayments can be seamlessly integrated without any difficulty on ramp processes as users are likely to already possess DPR tokens from organic network usage.

DPR
Deeper Token (DPR) is a digital currency that serves as the network’s gas. Through applications such as bandwidth sharing, users will acquire or consume tokens. The value-added component of DPR comes from the additional DApps developed on the e ² public chain.
New DPR is created through staking by validators and the total supply is capped at 10 billion. The value of DPR created during each block decays over time, similarly to, e.g., Bitcoin. The emission amount per block is recalculated every 518400 blocks to remainder/77760000, where the remainder is the difference between 10 billion and the current supply.

Deeper Connect allows users to make part of their home network bandwidth available to the public to earn DPR as a service fee. The users can configure the shared bandwidth or shared time period to ensure that their normal network use is not affected. When another user takes advantage of that shared bandwidth, the user must pay a service fee in DPR based on the traffic volume and throughput.

FAQ

About Project
Q: What happened to the old thread?
A: The previous thread was created by a third-party partnership account which the Deeper team does not have the admin rights to post and reply. That’s why we have decided to open this new thread in order to communicate with everyone directly.

Q: When and where will the tokens be listed?
A: The DPR tokens will be listed on exchanges by the end of this year. We are still finalizing the details and please follow our Telegram for any updates.

About Device (Deeper Connect)
Q: How many devices can I connect to Deeper device?
A: If you are in your home network, once you connect Deeper Connect with a router, all your home devices within the network should be connected, as long as your internet speed allows.

Q: So it can’t be used remotely?
A: If your mobile device, such as laptops, are used outside your home network, Deeper has the software option where users can subscribe and download AtomOS on their PC. We are working on IOS and Android application version so users can be connected through their phones in the future.

Q:  What is the difference between this and VPN? People in countries with censored internet can just use VPNs to bypass the restrictions…
A: Compared to traditional VPNs that are supported by a centralized server, where taking down central servers will paralyze the network, Deeper offers a truly decentralized private network without the single-point-of-failure. DPN can bypass geographic restrictions, as well as surviving IP address blocking, port blocking, and pattern detection, offering a more secure and stable connection during the service.

Q: What about Tor? What’s the difference?
A: Deeper is unlike TOR in implementation and avoids a lot of TOR’s pitfalls, namely, performance, security, and true decentralization. Tor is slower and it depends on a centralized directory service server which can be easily banned. Deeper not only provides a more secure and stable user experience with decentralized blockchain technologies but also integrates additional feature sets such as firewall security functions and bandwidth sharing.

Hi there, thank you for your interest.

Deeper Network is building a truly decentralized and secure gateway towards a more democratic internet. The company’s vision is to deliver the next generation of trusted, private, and secure internet gateway into every household. For this standout vision, Deeper Network was selected over numerous applicants to take part in the Substrate Builders Program, bringing us one step closer to the future of a truly decentralized web.

Deeper Network’s flagship product line, the Deeper Connect, is the world’s first blockchain-powered secure gateway that enables users to securely and privately browse the internet free of censorship. Participation in the Substrate Builders Program marks the beginning of Deeper Network’s pivotal role in the Polkadot ecosystem and opens up a new world of possibilities for Deeper Network to expand upon its own blockchain ecosystem.

By joining the Substrate builders program the core development team for Deeper Network will be supported by the Parity team and its community in preparation for the launch of the mainnet.

Thanks for asking.

Deeper Network is different from other blockchain projects,  not only with an actural product.

Most blockchain projects aim to build the blockchain first and then try to find their applications and users. At Deeper, our vision has always been product and customers first; developing useful products that can be used by many users across the world.

Deeper devices provide private, secure, plug and play DPN (decentralized private network) services to users.
This application layer serves as the bottom layer, also called the deeper layer.  Then we build the blockchain layer on top of that. This way, we already have a wide user base for our blockchain.

This two-layer structure forms a closed loop: The blockchain layer incentivizes the users to join the deeper layer to share bandwidth using block rewards.
On the other hand, the devices in the deeper layer will earn micropayments and accumulate the credit scores when sharing the bandwidth, and they can delegate their credit scores into validators in the blockchain layer to secure the blockchain system. The close loop will help the network to grow and be sustainable.

In general, the Proof of Credit is the core component that makes our system secure and decentralized. The credit system we build can be used widely in various applications similar to traditional financial services.

From a broader point of view, our two-layer blockchain system acts as a backbone infrastructure to the future of a decentralized Web 3.0.

Hey,  thanks for reaching out. Yes, it is simple like what you have seen. You may enjoy the movie and mining at the same time.

When you are using deeper device(Deeper Connect), you are already protected by the 7 layer firewall. It keeps you away from the online threat.
At the same time, you may earn token rewards by sharing bandwidth with each other(other users with deeper connect).
This will incentivize more people to share their bandwidth.

This is how it works Cool

Since the user is not only sharing the bandwidth but also their IP, how can you ensure security during network sharing?
How can they prevent other parties from using their network or IP to do some illegal things?

Deeper Connect Mini itself is an layer 7 firewall that can block illegal applications.
With the filtering function of AtomOS, the device can recognize most internet protocols, and users can choose to reject dangerous connections.
Deeper Connect Mini can also distinguish the user's own connections and sharing connections.
If a particular user is using his/her device for nefarious purposes, the network will discover and banish the node. Finally, if users are overly concerned about sharing their network, they have the option to turn off bandwidth sharing.

seems your platform is pretty promising however the usual prob of a project is how to get users on board. thats one of the initial challenges. and without users, practically the platform will not survive.
so how are you going to get those users utilise your network? will the income from sharing your bandwidth be attractive to users? do you have approx calculation of potential earnings like in a day with specific bandwidth that a user can share?
just rough estimate would do. as i understand, your team might have been doing some analysis and calculations already so users have idea what they are looking into. though you can set for a target price of your coin for the moment, just to see how you calculate things here.

Deeper Connect Mini can also distinguish the user's own connections and sharing connections.
If a particular user is using his/her device for nefarious purposes, the network will discover and banish the node. Finally, if users are overly concerned about sharing their network, they have the option to turn off bandwidth sharing.

just rough estimate would do. as i understand, your team might have been doing some analysis and calculations already so users have idea what they are looking into. though you can set for a target price of your coin for the moment, just to see how you calculate things here.

Thank you for the insightful questions. Allow me to address each point one by one:

1) How are you going to get those users utilise your network?

Deeper Network has a few thousand nodes around the world at the time of this writing.
The beauty of the project is that it is not trying hard sell crypto. The on-ramp process happens organically through solving users' real pain points, namely the need for:

• A better VPN that is truly private and truly censorship resistant

• An easy to use solution that can protect ALL internet-connected devices on the home network

The product abstracts away all the technical barriers so it is approachable for the general population. The end user does not even need to be aware of blockchain’s existence to fully utilize and benefit from the features. I think this is the right way of bringing blockchain to the mainstream, through a layer of abstraction.

If everyone had to know about combustion cycles, and valve timings in order to drive then the majority of the population would still be riding a horse.

2) Will the income from sharing your bandwidth be attractive to users?

You can think of it as a P2P bandwidth marketplace powered by a decentralized sharing economy. Unlike the traditional sharing economy, an intermediary e.g. UBER does not get to set the price. Buyers and sellers, in aggregate, get to determine the most efficient market price. We don’t determine what the price will be or what is attractive per say. That is up to the free market to decide.

3) Do you have approx calculation of potential earnings like in a day with specific bandwidth that a user can share?

If this is a feature that a lot of users would like to see, then the dev team will consider implementing it into the user interface as a real time forecast of potential earnings at different amounts of bandwidth shared.

This is a project that makes a profit by selling equipment, isn't it?
You must purchase an official program in order to participate. LOL

Thank you for your comment. Allow me to explain.

Generally speaking, the hardware is easier for the general public to onboard. Especially when it is well designed and simple to users. With hardware, users only need to plug it in once and forget it. The device can run in the background on the network level. Similar software-based solutions only function on a device level and require users to install a client on each and every device. And it may not interoperate with all of users’ home devices e.g IoT devices. Another aspect is that people prefer to own physical things. The PS5 still comes with a disk slot because people like physically owning their games.

Deeper Connect is also a layer 7 firewall capable of performing deep packet inspections. This is resource-intensive and it is best for it to be running on dedicated hardware.

Hello, the project seems promising.
I have been to your Indiegogo page,  people like your device.
Maybe it will reach 1M on it Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Could you please explain more about your token,
and how it can be used in your ecosystem?

and how it can be used in your ecosystem?

Hi,  thanks for asking.
We have an article about your question of the token,
let me share it with you.

Deeper's vision is to create a highly secure, high performance, and censorship-resistant decentralized communication network by combining technologies in network security, network sharing, and blockchain. The network is able to provide the following decentralized network services in tandem with the use of DPR tokens:

1. DPN (Decentralized Private Network)
DPN is a P2P decentralized bandwidth sharing network.

DPR use case:
Users earn DPR tokens via sharing their idle bandwidth. Traditional P2P network models lack effective economic incentives, which leads to an imbalance between bandwidth usage and bandwidth consumption in practice. Compared to traditional P2P networks, DPR incentivizes users to actively contribute bandwidth to the network thus making the overall network more robust and performant for everyone.

2. Decentralized DNS Services
DNS is the architecture for resolving IP addresses and querying the Internet. Having a centralized DNS infrastructure makes the Internet extremely fragile, and prone to censorships and attacks. Decentralized DNS services help to make the Internet more democratic and prevent the open internet from being controlled by a single entity.

DPR use case:
Users can use DPR to purchase decentralized domain names anonymously on the Deeper chain, and have complete ownership over it instead of leasing it through ICANN. Users can also obtain their own cryptographic keys for digital signatures, essentially eliminating the need for third-party CAs.

3. Decentralized Cyber Security Services
Each Deeper node is a next-generation firewall (NGFW), serving to prevent network attacks via network scanning: overflow attacks, injection attacks, denial of service attacks, and so on.

DPR use case:
Users pay DPR to purchase Deeper nodes on-demand as their home firewall to hide their IP address and prevent various network attacks. Users can safely set up websites on the Deeper Network infrastructure without needing to worry about websites being scanned, blocked, or attacked.

DPR can also be used for OS updates, security database updates, and security subscription services. On the flip side, a node can earn DPR tokens if it contributes to network security, such as discovering malicious behaviors on the network.

4. Decentralized Gateway Services(dApp store)
Deeper Connect is a decentralized gateway to web3.0. True decentralization means that no single organization can dominate over the entire network. It also means that a single point of failure will affect the functioning of the entire network. Decentralized gateways, decentralized public chains, and decentralized applications. For example, Ethereum Network remains centralized at the gateway level and is overly dependent on the API interface services provided by Infura for major dApps. Infura itself relies on AWS cloud services provided by Amazon. This means that the Ethereum ecosystem cannot be uncoupled from centralized network structures and is not truly decentralized. This naturally lends itself to the pitfalls of centralized network structures. This is evident as the recent Infura downtime has led to the paralysis of most Ethereum dApps. Deeper, on the other hand, has achieved true decentralization on all levels: decentralized gateways, decentralized public chains, and decentralized applications.

Not only can Deeper Connect users securely access various decentralized network services provided by Deeper Network, but they can also seamlessly access various third-party dApp applications, such as decentralized storage services in the Polkadot ecosystem or DeFi services such as exchanges. We can take the iPhone as an analogy:

1. Deeper's Deeper Connect hardware is akin to the iPhone hardware
2. Deeper's built-in DPN and other applications are akin to iPhone's built-in apps such as phone, email, etc.
3. Deeper's dApp store is akin to the iPhone's App Store

The difference is that iPhone provides users with a centralized Internet gateway, whereas Deeper Connect provides users with a decentralized web3.0 gateway.

DPR use case:
Third-party developers need to stake a certain amount of DPR tokens to have their dApps hosted within the Deeper ecosystem. At the same time, third-party dApps must be able to accept DPR as a means of payment for services, and Deeper takes a percentage of DPR revenue as a service fee.

Other Use Cases for DPR Tokens

Staking: Nodes can increase the speed of credit accumulation as part of the PoC consensus algorithm by staking more DPR to improve mining efficiency.

As gas for smart contracts: Deeper Chain is a Turing complete public chain that can run smart contracts. Deeper Chain provides the world's first decentralized credit system based on the PoC consensus algorithm. Secure sharing economy, DeFi applications, or other credit-related dApp can be developed based on this credit system.

Hello, thanks for your answer in great detail.
It really answered how your token/dpr works in your system.
It can be considered as blood in your ecosystem.

I also figure out that the project already has a big vision.
It just looks like a home security device at the very beginning.
But when the network has been built by the device user, DNS Services, Decentralized Gateway Services, etc can be ran on it.

Also, I like this one
"The difference is that iPhone provides users with a centralized Internet gateway, whereas Deeper Connect provides users with a decentralized web3.0 gateway."

Ill keep an eye on you.@-@
