ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again?

Yes, and Uniswap which has been used by the average project this year is just an option because most of the projects that were born this year have a DeFi system embedded in it, so it is a little more suitable if the developer makes a direct listing on Uniswap.

You have a point about new projects listing direct on uniswap and that won't cost them a penny but I just find projects that goes to high exchanges more serious and safer, Uniswap is now an unsafe place for people who aren't aware of many scam projects getting their tokens listed on the DEX because it cost them nothing, most tokens are been cloned on uniswap, one have to thread careful or end up buying a scam token

IEO is still very much alive but this days things are just silent on IEO side, no new upcoming IEO crowdfunding that's interesting, binance launchpad is empty too right now, ICO is alive too much that's on direct level comparing to IEO because investors feel hesitant to trust ICO due to scammers, it seems like UNISWAP is the easier way for fund raising as I saw few projects using DEX to raise fund, it's called IDO, ( initial dex offering )

I dont prefer wether its Ico/Ieo the most important thing I always see is the team and about the utility of each coins they are creating if its really valuable and new to crypto unique usecase then is worth to invest.

Creating new concepts means increasing the amount of scamming in new ways. I think i had to come back to invest in IEO.

- You know ICO had a lot of success at a time where investors weren’t disappointed, but a few days later a lot of scam ICOs were invented where investors lost a lot of their money.

- In the same way, many projects run by IEO got a lot of response at first but later they did not last long.

Again at this point in the same way Defi has created excitement where investors were smart at first time by making more profits but that is now where the scam scheme has grown and i don't think this concept will matter much anymore.[b/]

I have also been involved in both of these fundraising strategies in the crypto market, generally at a time when the investment style will bring different returns, but i think the IEO will be more attractive because IEO on Binance, Okex, Houbi,... still very successful good projects, but i find that if i have a bit of time to look for new projects and join the whitelist, i think it is also a way successful investment is in the market.

An ICO still can be successful if the project team is genuine and they presents a strong concept in front of crypto community but that's not enough the most important thing is, it's absolutely necessary that scammers mustn't have chances and options to ruin this process unfortunately this is not easy but in future if we may see an improved structure of ICOs on the basic of reliability and security then we may expect something positive with ICOs.

OP your topic sounds like both ICO and IEO are gone or dead, they are just crowdfunding tactics for new projects and they are still very much alive today, scammers are using ICO to deceive investors that's why ICO isn't as good as IEO anymore, IEO did one thing right and that's reliability and trust since there is a third party involvement (Top exchanges).

Agree, the most important thing about investing is the sustainability of the project in the long term. IEO method may be better than ICO but it also depends on the exchanger where the sale is because currently almost all exchangers hold IEOs so that many IEOs have their prices dropped after initial listing

I don't want to return any of one from those. But if you want to get an answer from these two then I must say something about IEO. I will definitely pick IEO, because I am more preferred to use IEO rather than ICO. In the ICO system, there has a huge chance of making a scam and already proved that. In IEO, the rate is lower than that.

Things are quite silence around IEO this days, no new IEO projects from binance, Okex and other few top exchanges, the problem of ICO is way bigger than IEO and the most popular one is lack of trust, investors can't trust a new project using ICO unless the project is really really different but for IEO it's easier because investors only have to rely on top exchange, both ICO and IEO aren't dead

I still prefer IEO to ICO. No much scam was performed with IEO and you can trade the token you purchase. Just that the ieo hype has gone low.

That is just it, ICO had so much success even many old projects which are still with us today once had ICO but the high number of scams is what lead to its death. Even ICO rating platforms, I have forgotten their names, which were made to try their best failed woefully hence the advent of IEO. IEO however, is a bit better although it has similarities with ICO, but yet till today it is still functioning but no much hype like before. Also, although there are scams in IEO but these scams occurs in smaller exchanges. Hence, if I am to choose, I would choose for IEO to come back, since it is better and have little scams. As for DeFi, the hype is gone and only few good projects are coming up.

I also agree with your opinion. ICOs or IEOs both have their positives and drawbacks, and ICOs in the past were too popular when Bitcoin raised the price of ICO projects with a very high success rate. It is difficult for that IEO to create peace of mind for investors. Depending on the time when the ICO or IEO has any better views from me.

you are taking icos coin with selling eth or btc. in 3 months both are 2x.
when you sell them and take ico coin, they gave your coin after 1 year with 1.5x or less. and you are in loss.

its very risky if participate in ICO as investors, no one could trust anymore in ICO scheme due they hold our money without any third party that act as escrow. maybe in IEO its more trusted because fund hold in exchanges wallet and ofcourse there is a term if dev team want to withdraw and run from project responsibility.

its not worthed if we convert our bitcoin or ethereum to joined in ICO. holding btc or eth have brighter future and lower risk than ICO project. its uncertain when we will received our token / coin

ICO isn't that good anymore, not since scammers ruin all the ICO reputations in 2018 and also IEO isn't that great like it was first released in 2018 but thanks to top exchange the crowdfunding is still very much active but honestly I wish we can have a new fundraising strategy, I'm looking at bond curving and IDO but it's too late to say a thing right now, the performance might be better in near future

Indeed, Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) is more than safe rather than ICO. I prefer to choose IEO as well to choose new project to store my money. I don't have much information about ICO actually, because I came across to crypto currency is 2017 ago when ICO was booming but I don't know much about. Just see many people here who stated that they got a lot of money and also many people talk how they been scammed by a project until the ICO event is no longer in demand.

And after that, IEO has came with one purpose to facilitate the investor to invest in new project savely. Indeed it works, there is only few information who stated that the investor was scammed by this way because they choose new exchange who don't have a good reputation. But yeah, in the crypto currency sphere most people always have the same thing to invest, they will sell all the asset when it is traded on the exchange and make the token price dump a lot so as IEO/ICO is a very risky way of investing.

There is this proverb; "there is time for everything" and this also applies to crypto currency; for some time reliance was on bitcoin alone; later etherum, litecoin etc and now we have thousands of altcoin tokens that serves different purposes too. So to your question; i do not want ico or ieo to return because it has served its time; and also lost its relevance due the various scams.

I Suppose another trend would surface soon and we can get accustom to that.

I think IEO is more trustworthy than ICO. IEO is preferred by investors and bounty hunters. Investors in ICOs have to invest in the project's own website. The chances of being scammed are much higher here. In IEO, investors have to invest in one of the crypto exchanges. There is less chance of being scammed here. Because a reputed crypto exchange don't want to ruin their reputation for a project. Also the possibility of listing tokens at the end of IEO is much higher. So I support IEO.
