I have noticed that most early meme coin narratives still start inside Telegram communities before reaching wider platforms.
Recently published a Medium article that looks at how meme coin Telegram groups shape trends, community sentiment, and early visibility in 2026.
It also covers:
why Telegram remains dominant for meme coin discussions
how community-driven hype forms around new projects
the difference between curated groups and pure promotion channels
Here is the article for anyone interested:

Good point. I agree that most meme coin narratives still start inside Telegram before spreading to Twitter, Discord, or larger media.
From my experience, Telegram works best for early discovery and sentiment tracking rather than long-term analysis. You can see how fast a narrative forms just by watching chat velocity, admin behavior, and how often a project is mentioned across multiple groups.
I usually separate Telegram usage into three parts:
Discovery – spotting new meme coins or launches early
Sentiment – seeing whether hype is organic or forced
Filtering – identifying which groups provide discussion vs pure shilling
Curated communities with active moderation are much more useful than broadcast-only promo channels. Once a meme coin starts appearing in several unrelated Telegram groups at the same time, it’s usually a signal that momentum is building.
Personally, Telegram is still my main tool for meme coin discovery, while Twitter/X is better for amplification afterward. Curious how others here combine Telegram with Discord or X for early signals.
