I am very new here on this forum and trying to learn some good plus point is I am picking things quickly sadly right now have no group for conversation but need some help to find any group where I will able to have some information about this crypto and bitcoin so can you give something about this and after looking around feeling this merit is also very important so hopefully I will able to qualify for this.

I have only recently started to take an active role in the discussions. Most of the time, I read and learn, and there aren't a lot of subjects where I feel comfortable contributing something constructive. Wink
I have technical experience in computer hardware, but I've never been interested in mining, so there's no discussion I can take part in. As for cryptocurrencies, I'm a total beginner in this area, so I'm not giving any advice because I'm afraid to say something wrong (although I am sure older members would correct me very quickly).

In any case, I welcome initiatives such as this to encourage newcomers. At some point, everybody on this forum was a beginner, right? Grin

There is a very useful theme on the forum where you can ask for rewards for some topics and posts. Here you can ask for a reward both for your own and for other people's posts, and no matter what language they are written in.
I have used this theme myself and the people here are very responsive.
Write more quality posts and feel free to ask for merit, but only do so if your post or topic hasn't received merit.

I have seen your past posts.  Where you try to stay active in the discussion group and try to create quality post.  Which is really admirable.  That's how you keep trying.

This is really bad advice. Site like this often exist only to get your private data so active email address that you checking.
Better method is to register with new email on every new website. So for example you use:
peter@gmail.com  (as personal email but you want to register on coinbase and gemini exchange)
peter_gemini@gmail.com (create filter to redirect all emails to peter@gmail.com)
peter_coinbase@gmail.com (create filter to redirect all emails to peter@gmail.com)

Then you use one email, but you are 100% sure from which service (email) you start to receive spam.
I imagine there are people who will setup their email password this way:
peter@gmail.com: passphrase A + (@gmail or _gmail or gmail)
peter_gemini@gmail.com: passphrase A + (@gemini or _gemini or gemini)
peter_coinbase@gmail.com: passphrase A + (@coinbase or _coinbase or coinbase)

This is a very terrible method to setup password. The better method is using randomly created passwords.

Thank your the opportunity. Stay safe!

Thank your the opportunity. Stay safe!

Your post, which you referenced above has absolutely nothing to do with the topic in which you responded. So either you didn't read the posts of other users, or you didn't understand the subject of the discussion. I doubt you're going to get any merit for that.

Yes, merit is used to rank up. But there's more to it then just that. You can read more about the merit system and rank requirements here:
 Merit & new rank requirements

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

I do always admire new members that has the guts of helping other members especially the low ranks. Well, that is not a bad move and for me it could even lift the morale of the newbies out there to be encourage in giving or awarding their merits as what it is intended for especially if you see a posts in which you think was helpful or being a help in your part. 3 merits to be award is already good enough and can get 3 newbies into a jr. member in rank after being qualified in the activity with just one merit.

@OP are you engaged with discussion threads? If so then why need to create a merit thread? Simply you can look there for quality newbies? It's not too hard to spend your 3 merits on this forum among newbies. I couldn't support this kind of merit thread anyway. Please be more constructive with your merits. When you will engage in the constructive discussion, most probably you will found someone who deserves merits from newbies if you intend to spend your merits for newbies.

When I see this coming from someone who starts, it makes me think that you are a "newbie" with good intentions but lazy.  Wink

I explain my point of view with your OP, when us +merit "has" its merit, it is assumed that one reads and reads, until find where is not There is a doubt you +merit it.

It may be that just in that post where you set the merit it is not something relevant to the community or the feeling of the classic "but what the fuck! Because this guy receives a merit for such a simple comment" there the point, sometimes that post means the sum of many things, good answers, good contributions, messages of encouragement, tutorials, participation, etc.

The above is the work point on which you should focus, the perception of give a merit not only due to the fact that from your perspective it is a good post, sometimes you have to understand certain boards, how do they work what kind of users receive it who are the merit donors* of that board, what I try to think or tell you is that the merit for most users should be something natural, not induced, in fact only a small group of users can allow themselves to perform certain types of activities to send merits.

In conclusion, it is worth more that you think about how to earn two merits with good post to generate +merit, because in that process you learn how to deliver them, whether you deliver them correctly or not, the important thing is that the delivery is honest or at least based on your own perspective.
_
*There is also the situation that in certain sections there are always users who have many merits and are constantly supporting the different users on the different boards.

When you see a post that deserves a merit, expect "x" time if an experienced user "send merits" in this post , them it tells you first that you were not wrong in your assessment, then you decide if you contribute your opinion meriting the post yourself, otherwise you simply find other post.  It's that simple, but be honest in your common sense (decision).

I am just giving the whole time to this forum and I make only 15 posts in this forum. But giving the whole day to understand how to post how to learn how to get up. And I have surety that I am not waisting my time. Soon I will collect more and more information from this forum.

At the end bundles of thanks to the older members like hero legendary and others. They always teach and suggest in a right way. Like I always check there comments in a post to get more information.
