thats fine, what im trying to underline here is the profit margin must be high on the miners, if they can afford to give it as a gift at cost of $69.

3:00 AM: Database management and improved design for scaling laterally.

How do I find the com port of miner? Windows device manager. does not show com port number only shows Port_#0004.Hub_#0006 Did you have cgminer with gridseeds running off this machine before and is you miner showing up under ports com and lpt or somewhere else. Do you remember installing zadig drivers. Check this thread remember its easier to add these drivers then to remove them so please read. Thanks http://cryptomining-blog.com/1254-how-to-mine-both-btc-and-ltc-on-gridseed-5-chip-gc3355-asic/Also remember miners usually prefer usb 2.0 black ports and not blue 3.0 ports Try replacing the drivers with the lighting asic driver for cpuminer. They will assign a com port. Just a guess I haven't received my miner to test. http://www.diffpair.com/lightningasic/So do so at ur own risk. Guys, I just had a genius idea. What if... we open up a C2C Support Desk. Customers ask questions. Customers answer questions. Rami sits in his chair and smiles.

Anyone that has received their Black Widow, can you post a link to the PSU that you ordered online? Did you really need 4 separate PCI-E power lines?

Guys, I just had a genius idea. What if... we open up a C2C Support Desk. Customers ask questions. Customers answer questions. Rami sits in his chair and smiles. Let me expand on this idea... Best case:Maybe you could reward customers who answer questions and lighten your support load with BTC rewards based on performance (maybe per resolved issue). Or... Worst case:Offer a C2C Support Desk with user paid bounty system. Users could pay a BTC bounty (they set the price) and pay the reward into escrow, then when they choose a an answer the winner is awarded the bounty.

No idea on that one bud. Did you give it enough time to start hashing before changing pools?

You mean it runs hot? It disperses heat well? Or it heats up the room? Curious cause I have one on the way as well.

Did you measure power taken from the wall outlet or is this pure the power taken by the device? I can imagine that it will get rather hot with 40W and a hand sized heat-sink with a small fan. There seem to be quite a lot of hardware errors, is this normal? or did you increase the clock too much?

[ on that last note, my gridseeds and antminers hate my hsb3.0 ports, no worky at all
My Antminers LOVED my Anker 3.0 9-port hub with its 12V 5amp power supply... but the PI sure didn't like it! All (10) of my gridseeds are running on the USB 2.0 hub that came as part of the 10-gridseed kit. It is working beautifully with them.

A powered USB hub is not really necessary for the Gridseeds, they draw hardly any power from the USB port. I have 20 of them running on 2x 10 port hubs, both not powered.
