Polkadot can take place of Ethereum?

probably yes, but still hard to believe it , remember about how EOS FOMO on 2017-2018 going ? , and the time has answer it , nothing change , and now we see another contestant , of course this one is more better than EOS , probably we can see the final match when ETHV2 going alive. How ETH will solved their scalability on ETHV2 is the important thing to see.

This is 101 thread that starts with next ethereum killer! I don't know why people even think in that way, ethereum will not be replaced! Ethereum already have a nice share of the market, others can just try to take what's left! Of course many projects are trying, and some of them are doing good, but ethereum still holds high top! Question is will there be a project that can make some break through and come closer to eth in the next 5 years?! I think many projects have some chances, low but some chances at least, and I have stacked some of them, so we will see what will happen!

I don't think so because Polkadot and Ethereum have their respective portions and roles
both have their own advantages to compete
live on the more dominant look where the technology of the two is widely used by developers, and the development of Polkadot and Ethereum which is more developed can be seen later

Not sure it will be a killer. Just like a another strong player on the market with its own revolution technology. It will just take it's place and own market segment. That's it.

I don't think so because there are so many projects which is faster and more efficient than Bitcoin but still Bitcoin rules crypto world and similarly there are numerous projects to replace Ethereum but they might not succeed as Ethereum is like Bitcoin of altcoins, if anyone can even come closer Eth then it would either be TRX or NEO.

I am not agree with you. Polka and ETH both has different advantages in different way. But it doesn't mean that it will take place of ETH. Ethereum is 2nd most trusted cryptocurrency in the world. Polkadot need a lot of time to gain this type of trust. I think still it is not comparable with ETH.

sound familiar, a new project has been launched or is still young to be juxtaposed with ethereum.  I don't think it really fits because ethereum has been recognized by many people as the king of Altcoin until recently.  Ethereum position cannot be overthrown for the next few years because the ethereum platform has spawned thousands of crypto projects to date.  Even ethereum has a sizable market share with millions of its communities around the world.  I hope polkadot can maintain performance and continue to innovate with creative ideas in the development of Cryptocurrency.

Unlikely it will happen for the obvious reasons, there are always potentially better projects. The DOT project was released before 2018 and the Ethereum developers have made a better development over scalability. In terms of price and marketcap, I doubt the Polkadot price will surge enough to pass the ETH marketcap. The long way for the reaching the ATH is waiting for the Polkadot investors because the other alternative blockchains will be invented after the strong demand.

I think what ETH needs to improve on truly is fees and speed of transaction which also points to scalability improvement. But however, this doesn't mean newer projects are better off, they need to experience the kind of traffic ETH network experiences before we can term them as "ETH killer". ETH in the real sense is far better than most of them.

Of course, it is not impossible but does it a really strong reason to beat Ethereum? I don't think so. Ethereum is surely more famous than Polkadot and already used by top platforms as well. Also, Ethereum has been proven for many years, while Polkadot is just a new one. Well, based on these facts, it should be not easy to beat Ethereum. I don't think Polkadot is Ethereum killer, maybe this was just your own perception only dude,
and as I can see with Polkadot is not design for that thing where it made to destroy ETH, of course not!
Although, Polkadot has a potentials like Ethereum but instead of, thinking it is the killer why not think of the better
for the holders of DOT and ETH as well.

Polkadot is not as grand as ethereum and could never reach that level unless ethereum drops under polkadot instead. I mean surely ethereum is not at second place forever, I do not even believe there won't be anything bigger than crypto, something better than blockchains, a whole new system.

However, let's assume crypto is here for 50+ more years and I think both bitcoin and ethereum will fall from their places and something else may take its place. In this case maybe polkadot see a moment when it is higher than ethereum not because polkadot can go higher but because eth can go lower. Aside from that 0.00001% chance, there is no way it could take ethereums place, it is just not as much used and not as much liked, eth is something like an industry standard in crypto.

There are many Ethereum killers in crypto space but till date no one really kill ethereum yet  , this is only a dream because nothing can beat ETH and it will continue to be developers favourite, even old projects like EOS, Stellar and Neo still can't defeat ethereum not to talk of new crypto projects

Polkadot project has great potential but I think it is impossible for polkadot to replace eth in coinmarket especially with eth 2.0 new project and when eth 2.0 starts it will also increase the price of eth so polkadot is unlikely to replace eth's throne in coinmarket but if polkadot can show more new projects that are more liked and have more benefits it can increase the rank of polkadot in coinmarket.

It is difficult to compare Ethereum with Polkadot, Polkadot is a new project,

Some people just looking for what will take the place of what, what exactly will make polkadot be able to take the place of ethereum! eth has its flaws we agree and so it has achieve a lot with huge user base, both of this project are good in their capacity, for now i think eth will continue to reign supreme as the top of all alternative coins and tokens out there.
