Having 1 bitcoin would be a new level to unlock but I haven't gotten it, and since the question was not how close you are to 1bitcoin I won't spoil the fun with that story. Good omen to those who had gotten one bitcoin before this rise you have something in many years to come won't be easy to buy or reach.
But I don't want to think 2020 is the last chance for one to own a bitcoin, call me sad dude because I haven't gotten it yet, but still I don't think this is the last chance, bitcoin would come to a easier price than now to buy. But its better if you can buy one now you do so.

Unfortunately, I don't have 1 BTC in my wallet and I cant see that I could have this within this year. I am not so active in trading because I find it so hard to earn with that, investment, forums, and gambling are the only ways for me of earning bitcoin and my investment are not that too high to have 1 BTC even though the bitcoin reaches the new ATH, I am still new with bitcoin and I know that it would take time before I earn that huge amount of money, hoping that I could have it in the future, maybe knowledge and experience would be the key.

Its my personal desire to own 1 BTC in my wallet however circumstances beyond my control wouldn't allow me to do so, there are lot of financial commitment hanging on my neck, as a salary earner some situation might warrants using Fiat when my salary couldn't sustain my family spendings due to huge or extra expenses on some of my other projects the only option for me is to exchange some of my Bitcoin to Fiat.
Accumulating a whopping 1 BTC via signature campaigns earnings is quite a difficult task except if there are alternative source of income  to supplement earnings from those tasks.

It's too late for me to own at least 1 btc, I have this amount in the past but I was able to convert it,  but regardless of the price next year, I think I could possibly owned if I will start my journey early next year.

Rich people will have enough time to own 1 btc but for sure it will become harder in the future

It could be that this will happen, given the increasing number of bitcoin holders, the less total supply will automatically occur, of course this will have a big impact both from price fluctuations and mining that will occur in the future.

if you will only believe on your self owning 1 btc within 1 month may still be possible . you can try gamble that has a prize pool of 1btc or bet on lotto . On lotto you can win more than 1 btc , that is the only way I think that will help you earn 1 btc in a limited time because we can't accumulate that high amount of btc if we are only going to work on our present campaigns  . The pay for campaigns now are also being reduced because of the high value of btc , that makes it harder for us to earn more btc . On the past I think I was already close to 1 btc but I sold mine too , I can't dedicate my life on  hodling .

Bisq Market Day - March 20th 2023

I release all my bitcoin during the pandemic that caused some investors to lose their profit and also collapse the economy of the country. Since bitcoin was reigning during the lockdown, that was causing other cryptocurrencies to reduce in the market, that caused so many investors to join bitcoin investment base on the steady rising of bitcoin in the market. Bitcoin will soon dump, since the year is coming to an end soon which is making other cryptocurrencies to start preparing  to start pumping in the market which will make bitcoin to dump.
I still have Ethereum and litecoin in my wallet base on the market is not encouraging for me to release the coins to market. Since other cryptocurrencies I have been holding over some months are not bring me good courage, it make me not to hold any bitcoin in my wallet since the market is looking good to make a good profit. This season we are, is not to good to hold bitcoin for more increase because others cryptocurrencies are coming with full speed to take over from bitcoin which started pumping since we enter pandemic till now, which is showing some signs about to dump in this season we are right now.

I don’t see it as a must for me to own 1 Bitcoin, I’m always okay with the amount I have. But I’m still working hard towards having up to one bitcoin stored away. Although I am not the type of person that leaves my Bitcoin in every situation, sometimes I have to sell it when the market is not going as I expected.

As we all know, the market has been on its way up, some of us will be holding their coins at the moment and once the market starts falling again we are going to sell it. That has always been me, when market is going down I sell to buy back when it’s at its lowest.

No I don't have 1 BTC right now but surely someday I would own 1 for sure if I keep on saving and investing in crypto.
My goal is to have at least 1-4 BTC or have my own house before 2025.
And I think I could make it if I continue to save, work and properly manage my money.

Reading all your very different replies and having a look at the poll really puts things into perspective. There's no perfect bitcoin amount to own: just own and hold what you can guys. Stay positive, keep working hard and try to do your best and I am sure that most of you can reach at least a desired amount of coins.
Remember, things change rapidly and many people who have more than one bitcoin can easily be so-called weak hands.
It takes much more than luck to be able to cope with BTC.

See you guys around!

Does anyone here think getting a btc now makes it harder to make more money compared to alts?  I mean to double your money would need btc to hit double what it currently is.

Yes, it gets harder to profit since the price went up by 30% in the last 30 days. At this point the price could go down just like what happened last time.

Buying a whole btc at this price point feels like a disaster waiting to happen.

For anyone who would be thinking of buying 1 btc at this price really have a tough choice to make, you would be caught in the middle of thinking between the possibility of btc going up from this price point of dipping,
if you buy now and btc dips, you will regret not waiting a bit and if you wait and btc goes even higher, you will regret not buying at this price,
To me the road to owning 1 btc is more realistic than a dream  Wink

It’s not easy from here for btc to just double in quick time, if able to hold for long then the best thing to do is to buy when it has fallen so that you can leverage that fall and with rise can make some money if just looking for short term. Also, since it has already near 18k so again possible that it can rise till 19k and fall back again if cannot break the ATH.

it all depends. if you hold for 1-2 years it would most likely be very very good investment. in the short term it would probably fall down but we have seen that million times so far. many expect 2017-18 pattern to repeat and to reach 50-100k in a year. meanwhile may see 13-15K at most which is good to buy again. personally i don't believe in trading and i am in it with 3-4 % of my BTC's just for fun.

In case I would have got 1 Bitcoin nowadays, I would definitely Hodl it. It is my opinion, that today is not the time to sell it. But I made too hasty decision one day when I decided to sell some part of it, and bought altcoins that looked a bit perspective. Nowadays I would got more benefits rather not buying those alts then selling part of BTC. But what is done is already done))

First people wanted to own 21 Bitcoin to own 1/million of the supply, now they want at least 1 BTC, and in the future, if the price will keep rising, there will be a new arbitrary goal, like 0.1 BTC or 0.021 BTC. This is all just human psychology, our desire to see round numbers, because numbers with many different digits are harder to operate with in our minds. This should never be put before the first rule of investing - invest only what you can afford to lose.

Due to the pandemic situation, my plan to have 1 BTC in 2020 failed, I have urgent needs. So I have to convert my Bitcoin to fiat,
and I have to spend buying some basic necessities. The amount of Bitcoin that I have collected continues to decrease, because in
a situation like now I have a lot to buy. So for 2020 I have to accept the fact that the desire to have 1 BTC failed to be achieved,
but I will go back to trying to collect Bitcoin again once my finances are stable.
