Another person losses $20k to Fake Uniswap on Google Play

I think users are trying to find alternatives to make it easier to use mobile apps Uniswap from Google Playstore, but they don't research Uniswap if the official app is not available other than the website version. I will not use any application other than those linked on the website, Twitter and telegram, because if you are using a third party application then you will be ready to face the risk of wallet hacking.

This is why people always remind us to always be careful when we are in the crypto space. Something that looks good doesn't necessarily have good security. The mobile application make it easy for trader to control and observe price movements without having to open the site, but people can still do something in a hurry without trying to see the validity on the official site. Just like you, I have never tried to use a mobile application for trading activities from any exchange.

Fake and Scam APP's are becoming more common nowadays, and the problem is the paid SEO (search engine optimization) they get. So, if a user googles the app, then the ads will show the fake one on the first positions.

I have a friend who loses some money this way too, but I realize the problem isn't the attack, the problem is google, they should have better filters to verify if a crypto app is from a real company or if it's a scam.

Thank you for those who have reported this fake apps, Google has taken it down already.

But this is just the beginning, as the price of bitcoin and many altcoins are going up, and so are the attacks so be very careful on any apps that you download from Google.

I think its time to add list of fake wallets available of Google Play Store because with the increase of Bitcoin's and all other cryptocurrencies prices we can expect lot more fake wallets as clone or completely fake team to get the advantage of the people's urge to buy and Store cryptos.

Such lists can only help you to certain extent and are rarely effective because new ones come every day, I think the base knowledge how this scams operate would be far more effective than lists.
