Make an effort to add something valuable to this community, and I'm sure the community will reward you with respect (and merits) in return. Instead of thinking that you're posting for merit, just think you're posting something constructively and relevant to topics.

Merits only belongs to those who deserve it, if they are aiming to make a good and quality posts.

Some of the people here are asking themselves, why they are not earning merits even if they are making longs posts everyday? So the thing here is that, you don't really need to make posts that is long and pointless. Being direct to the point is enough especially that if you are proving and sharing knowledges or opinion that will help other people.

At first i want to clear that i know little about Merit.

So from the start i try to Learn about Merit,how to earn or how to get Merit & what is the real work with that!
But i failed to learn i mean i really don't understand that how to get merit so easily.

But Now i know there is no such a way to get merit so easily.

I needed merit so badly but i can't earn it i am trying to post in BTT with new topic but It's really not working .

Now I really need help from you guyes,

I've sent merits to newbies that deserves it and sending 1 merit to you isn't forbidden but I checked your profile out now and I see that almost all your posts are weekly reports of bounties your are promoting, you won't get merit this way, people like me only send merit to people who make quality posts or share helpful posts on this forum, sorry mate the issue of not getting merit is your fault

Well, it will hard if you are just try to run for bounty, is not your fault to think about this, because a lot of member also thinking like that before. Maybe you can read some of motivational thread about how other member can level up from Newbie to Hero, you can learn from them how they give something helpful for this forum with quality posts. As Novatech8 says, no one will give you a merit if you are just posting bounty report and another non helpful post. You don't need to be:
- expert in development of crypto
- expert programmer
- expert trader
- expert writer
- or expert anything

to get merit, just share helpful though, knowledge or another positive impact for member, even it doesn't your original knowledge, someday you will get the merit. even you are just posting "no" on your post, you can get merit if it helpful and give an answer for other member.

I like the fact that your curious as to why you ain't being merited. And I'll put it to you that, no one holds merit just for the gun of it or so they can give it to some specific users or maybe are picking on users like yourself with regards to meriting a post. Even if that be the case, it's got to be a few users and by some users acting as merit source, they stand as a remedy to merit cycling and ensures that quality posts are being merited.

It might also interest you to know that, creating posts like this boost users curiousity as to what might have been the problem or hindrance to this user with lots of activity but not enough merit and might take a quick look at your account for something of worth that probably wasn't noticed but in reality as in your case, there is virtually nothing worth meriting. Just proof of authentication, bounty reports and a few low quality posts. Of course no one is going to merit those. You've got to be productive to the forum by being more informative as to the kind of posts you make and how you interact in and with the forum. By with the forum I mean, you've got to visit boards that tried to teach something and not base your activities on trying to earn. Let me ask you this if I may,

I really don't recall when last I visited the bounty section, not saying it's bad but then, my search for improvement on the little I know have made me forget that particular board as it really wasn't a very helpful one in the past. Be involved in the learning process first and your sure to archive your goals in time. Let's share knowledge together because, knowledge is key to the doors you never know to exist.

Like what I have previously mentioned into similar threads that rant about the merit system being too 'tedious' and a 'difficult' task, I say that you should totally change your perspective.

Make actual contributions by learning cryptocurrencies and sharing your knowledge about them. If you bother too much and chase merits to the point that it became your top priority, chances are that most members would not even bother to merit your posts. On the other hand, if you shift your priority towards making an actual contribution to the forum, merits would be the one chasing you and not the opposite.

Do not give up hope. Learn from your mistakes and adapt from there. If you truly want to achieve such goal, then make it a point to put actual effort into your posts.

You aren't contributing to this forum at all but you are only trying to make money from it that's why you never get any merit, you claimed you have knowledge about merit but you don't know about contribution? You are right. Good knowledge about cryptocurrency is required for informative posting. Everyone who has earned merit has contributed to this community. Posts that are useful for community members need to be made to earn merit. New members don't want to spend time for learning, their purpose is just to earn merit but they may not know that nothing is possible without hard work in the right way.

You are right. Good knowledge about cryptocurrency is required for informative posting. Everyone who has earned merit has contributed to this community. Posts that are useful for community members need to be made to earn merit. New members don't want to spend time for learning, their purpose is just to earn merit but they may not know that nothing is possible without hard work in the right way.

Merits will be awarded if we are actually doing something good but doesn't necessarily all the time so we can't expect the merits to hit us and we also don't have to hunt them which may change the intention of merit system being introduced.

Again merit threads. Do you know how many threads have created about how to earn merits? You didn't notice it, it's because you aren't active in the general section except the bounty section. Most probably that is one of the reasons why you aren't getting merits. You would earn merits on your bounty post and it shouldn't. All higher rank uses spreading their merits on the good post, not on the bounty post
 So you can't expect merits on such posts.

You aren't reading other's posts and not participating in the constructive discussion. So how merit senders will notice your post? Doesn't matter if higher ranks user not sending merits, many merit sources would merit you if you contribute to the forum. Can I ask you to show some of your contribution thread if any? Perhaps we are missing, so let us know to take a look.

To be honest you don't really need merits for participants on the bounty campaign. There is may bounty campaign where had not been asking for the merits.

Guy out of 168 posts and activities on your account this is the second topic you have created, how do you tend on getting merit this way? You are so focused on your bounty weekly reports, Your post isn't high quality, not helpful for others too, no one will send you their smerit mate, start creating good posts and topics and someone will surely send you a merit or more, if you fail to get merit it's all on you.

Like a lottery? No way, it is quite the opposite. I skimmed over your post history, and in the last six month or so you wrote 4 (four) posts that weren't bounty reports so of course it may feel like a lottery to you, but as long as you keep writing useless posts (and bounty reports are completely useless) you won't get any merit.

As an encouragement you might wanna check this thread The future of Bitcointalk: Low Ranking Top Merit earners in the past 30 days. Plenty of low ranking members there that have no issues when it comes to merit.

Having a post history which is majorly filled with bounty reports and authentication posts greatly reduces your odds of winning the supposed lottery. I highly doubt members are biased between newbies and higher ranked members when awarding merits, it would only appear so because newbies constitutes the bulk of the forum and majority of them are not really interested in the forum or Bitcoin.

I was once a newbie and there are so many other members who have climbed up the ranks from the bottom. They most likely followed the advice I gave in the reply you quoted;

• You earn merit by putting in effort, reading, learning and then writing. If you've put in effort to read about a certain topic, you would be able to join constructive discussions about it. This does not mean you have to be too technical as a newbie, but, you need to be willing to learn for the sake of it,
• The way above is a legit way to earn merits,

• There is no shortage of merits for newbies, they are awarded for constructive discussions, when you start doing that, you increase your chances of earning them.

People like you think this is the Merittalk forum.

You will not earn Merit by learning about Merit. You will earn Merit by learning about crypto, and once you know more about crypto than a large majority of this community, you will be able to post stuff people want to send sMerits for.

In other words, there is no fast way and if this sounds like a major effort to you, simply take the easy way out and leave the boards.

I don’t think there is a brave person who would appreciate his helpful awards reports. But I'm brave enough to find violations in his message history. Looking at its history reveals the old story of ban evasion again.

Well , merits comes from members here it means your posts and topic should Determine if you will get merits or not and how much you will get merits depend on your post quality and also on the members and his generous ..

for the moment lot of newbie member have difficulty to get merits because old members here got a bad picture about them , they think every new member is a scammer and thats why its hard to a newbie or jr member to rank up and i had the same problem tho .

so the only way is to keep working on your post quality and make sure they are good and clear enough , help people around the forum with their problems , find solutions and share it on the forum and by this way only you will get merits and credibility for yourself ..
