Seems like EA wouldn't have much problems here, it's a problem with FIFPro and the team. Just stupidly odd how they're doing the suing only now, they themselves stated how EA was supposedly "milking" money of off their faces for the past few years. Though if FIFPro did indeed just used the faces of the players without their knowledge, then I guess that's their fault. EA would get damaged by this, but not fully. They only talked negotiations with the responsible authorities, and they got approval, that's it.
After Zlatan Ibramovic, now Gareth Bale is also claiming EA used his name and photo without his permission. EA has been paying players time and again to use their real name and photo and they sometime seem to miss doing that leading to such circumstances. EA would probably pays some good money to both these players and the dispute would settle peacefully.
According to the article, Ibrahimovic is only one, there's already quite a lot of players behind him supporting this move. Now if EA was really an ass, they really need to answer to them properly BUT if EA was only one of the parties that got involved accidentally, then FIFPro would be the one to shoulder everything. And really, even if they pay up money now if EA does admit it's their fault, their reputation would fall a notch imo.
