Hello folks.

I hold the following cryptos: bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, cardano, ripple, iota and stellar. I haven't bought or sold in almost 3 years; just holding on to what I have.

Anyway, I'm a linux user and have 7 different pieces of software for managing those 7 coins. I very much want to simplify things.

I don't mind having separate software for bitcoin, but is there a linux desktop wallet that supports most/all of the other coins?

Thanks.

Thats a big list of coins, so your choice isn't going to be wide if you're concerned about security.
I guess the easiest options are exodus, ledger and mycrypto

All you need is a wallet that supports multiple digital currency like Coinomi wallet, it has both windows and Linux versions and also mobile version, this will make your life more easier as you can import your keys into this wallet and control all your coins in one simple wallet, to download go to the link below

Have you tried finding through online sources? There are many crypto wallets that supports Linux today, some are fully open source and some are closed source, what's more important is keeping your private keys in a safe location, here are few that I'm sure are available on Linux OS

1. Armory ( open source) bitcoin wallet with multi-signature support
2. Copay
3. Electrum
4. Infinity wallet (this wallet supports many altcoins including bitcoin and it's available on Linux
5. Exodus wallet ( another multi wallet that supports many coins)

Most of the hardware wallet has support Linux, as I know Ledger and Trezor wallet is the most hardware wallet where support with you crypto mentioned. You don't need any software installed. just download the application from the official website and your key doesn't leave your wallet.

Judging from the original post it shows that @feh doesn't have hardware wallet and he or she is currently looking for Linux software wallets, not everyone can afford hardware wallet though but it does looks like OP has huge amount of coins, so I think hardware wallets is more recommended than using software wallets

i suggest you to use a hardware wallet, such as ledger nano or others
because for me using ledger wallet to store our cryptocurrency is safer than the other wallet

i honestly dont know if there are wallets designed for linux operating system. i will advice you get device that support any of the adroid, windows or Apple OS. Linus system are not commonly used that is the reason many developers don't take linus OS into consideration.  i mainly use android and windows devices.

For linux, this is only for bitcoin wallet.
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=5&platform=linux
And with all of those suggested multi-currency wallets, you only need to look for their downloads and see if they support linux.

Just an update...I chose the Atomic wallet for my purposes, as it supports everything I mentioned except for iota.

I'm also leaving bitcoin in my electrum wallet. so I've gone from 7 wallets to 3.

All the 7 altcoins are popular altcoins so it's not hard to find a single crypto wallet that will support all these altcoins, you should download any wallet through official sources only, coinomi wallet and trust wallet supports all those 7 altcoins in your post and I think the wallets have Linux version too

Buy a Ledger Nano or a Trezor.

Ledger is a very secure wallet. you won't be hacked, as it is a hardware wallet.

Ledger supports all your currencies.
You can search for all supported assets here:
https://www.ledger.com/supported-crypto-assets

Otherwise, if you do not hold too much value, you can use Coinomi mobile wallet. But it is not recommended for high amount of money (it is up to you how much is a high amount), as it can be hacked.

Good choice for Electrum. It's one of the best wallet for keeping bitcoin. I've used Atomic wallet and I find it easy to use and somehow good as well.
And since you've already got your wallets, this thread has to be closed now and you can do it through locking it.
