Somewhere, these are all connected. But if what you meant by connection here is that Paypal's decision to accept crypto is the direct cause of Visa's involvement in cryptocurrency, then you are probably wrong.

Paypal allowed buying and selling of cryptocurrency just this November. Visa's involvements with crypto could be traced back well before that. As a matter of fact, the articles linked in the OP which suggest that Visa is already making steps in support of crypto are old ones.

And also, don't forget that Visa has already made a partnership with Coinbase beforehand for the latter's crypto debit card.

I don't know about mass adoption but the only thing I can see Paypal did is an advertising for Bitcoin, because of that they got some pretty decent profit out of it. I think Visa and mastercard has seen what Paypal did and is planning to recreate what Paypal did. I think they are just in to the money but not in adoption. Look at Paypal, they didn't really help with adoption because as you can see, you can't withdraw or deposit Bitcoin there, you can only buy from Paypal itself. You can't even properly trade there or you'll face suspension.

^ I don't know if it's connected, it seems that Paypal accepting crypto is already having an effect on other big companies. mass adoption is getting in our sight, tighten your belt we will see the big bull run soon.
Honestly, Visa were trying to get into crypto months before paypal, by partnering coinbase.
So, paypal might just pushed them to try harder, but paypal wasn't the first one for sure

If that is the case, then cryptocurrency users should be really happy. Visa may have started their work earlier, but it was PayPal which finished it first. So obviously the credit should go to them. I have no idea when Visa will consider integrating Bitcoin to their platform. But it looks as if it may not happen this year. Anyway, 2021 is going to be a big year for cryptocurrency.

That’s for sure, they have to adopt or else someone will do it for them left them behind. Visa is a great and huge company as well, i hope for that they will push it through just like what Paypal did and I’m sure many will start to adopt Bitcoin and we can expect more pump in the market.

I really adhere via your concerns or comment, yeah although I know that their will be a new innovation concerning what Paypal perform, it will really make bitcoin to be more recognised to other higher companies, so their will competition in bitcoin market, and it's obvious that all cryptocurrency will accelerate via price.

Although there's already so many services like debit card that uses Visa but if crypto could be accepted to many banks it will be even better. Just imagine when crypto reaches every corner of the world that's only possible if crypto considered as legitimate.
It will be a disaster if a lot of big wig companies adopt blockchain technology and bitcoin in their business model. They will not be in this to fully adopt, they want to copy how blockchain works and try to replicate it and make one of their own. There are companies right now doing this very same thing and I do not think it will a good news for crypto community when the masses are advertised to this company blockchain clone.

I think it's only a matter of time before other big parties and big institutions adapt to crypto. with a trend that is so positive every day and also many famous people who are starting to recognize crypto will begin to accelerate the crypto process into a general currency that might be massively applied

Since its inception, Bitcoin has been considered the only online cryptocurrency. But in all the cases in which it will used, it have beyond the reach of ordinary people. It is the next currency system so PayPal has started to consider some issues. After PayPal, Visa started to support it, which is the beginning of going one step further for Bitcoin. I'm sure of it, in the near future, the proliferation of Bitcoin will be a pioneer in capturing the currency market among all people.

it will be a domino effect in the next coming years. the paypal's move will give confidence to other companies to get involve with crypto. though long-time crypto users will not use this platform, still paypal has other millions of users that may be interested in their crypto services. this will be a good initiation for them in crypto. and once they learn more about btc, and other alts, they will now explore other crypto transactions outside of paypal's platform.
now, with other financial institutions getting interested, noncrypto users will now start to educate themselves regarding crypto so as not to be left behind with these digital currencies.

Well this is a good move that other companies are started to learn or becomes interested in crypto. Massive adoptions that make the price climb in the market. Just like in PayPal adopt crypto, people who have doubt in bitcoin at first becomes more interested to learn how bitcoin works. So with this Visa if in case will happen, for sure we can expect a number of users increase.

hopefully this can make the cryptocurrency industry grow more and more widely so that it can have a good influence on the price of cryptocurrency which can make it expensive.

That bull run was confirmed after we saw many private and public institutions invested in cryptocurrency. When multi-billion dollars company like American Express Company, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Mizuho Financial Group, BHP Billiton Limited, Oracle Corporation, Tencent Holdings, etc buying crypto then it's not so easy to dump the market. I can mention 50 more big company name that is investing in cryptocurrency. They are not like retail investors who will be happy with small gains.  These companies are here to stay and looking for a big profit.

Many companies will eventually join too, there are already few banks in my country where they accept bitcoin transactions, after PayPal adoption many alike companies might already consider it to do as they may ssem the potential feedback or profit they can get if it will become a trend or if their too good in marketing and creating hype it can be a success too if they will adopt and implement it in their existing services.

it will be a domino effect in the next coming years.

If this news will actually be applied by Visa and Mastercard, this is a form of spreading the trust given by Paypal.  The domino effect given leads to a more positive direction where crypto will be used more massively by everyone, even people with traditional concepts.  Paypal's actions will have a positive impact even in the traditional financial business sphere.  They will race to learn crypto so as not to fall behind its competitors.

This is exactly the move they had to make. I mean think about it, these are the guys who are the biggest payment processors, all the credit cards all around the world are either visa or mastercard, and they are so good at what they do that there is absolutely no competition at all for them, those two are just plain old world domination stage at this moment.

If they do not test out blockchain and crypto stuff, they are not going to suddenly start seeing a lot better results, they are going to keep staying at the same level and that means if they end up with absolutely nothing at all some other company could come in and beat them. Hence instead of allowing some third party to grow via blockchain tech, they will take over that and improve themselves so that nobody can reach their level.

Since we are still dependent on fiat money that we use in our daily life, it is very important that PayPal, as well as with bank cards, we will be able not only to buy but also convert cryptocurrency to Fiat. Moreover, if we are talking about everyday life and small amounts, then users have nothing to fear. But if we are talking about larger funds that can be withdrawn from the cryptocurrency into the national currency, then here many will fear for the sanctions that the government may impose or tax percentages, which may not always be reasonable.

Maybe this could happen, but it is still very far from being implemented. Because this requires licensing from a country, and that country makes laws and regulations related to the taxation of BTC assets. However, until now there are still many countries that have not allowed BTC as a legal medium of exchange. But if you buy it as an asset and sell it back, it is unlikely that there will be a tax on it.

I hope that it's something more than Visa's decision to follow PayPal footsteps. The mass adoption is underway, but for most people crypto is a good investment tool only.
visa has been creating a partnership with usdc and you can see that from the latest news in the market and it says that the cooperation will be made to create a new system combined by pp and usdc. it looks like master card will be also following it very soon.
