Turkish Basketball League 2021 Season

Turkish Basketball League regular season is over and play-off first round started. Let's talk about it here. There are a lot of good opportunities betting wise.

Teams which get 2 wins will eliminate their opponents and play in semi-finals. Anadolu Efes, Pınar Karşıyaka, Fenerbahçe Beko and Beşiktaş Icrypex won their first games, all favorites won.

It would be difficult to expect different final than Anadolu Efes - Fenerbahce. Remaining teams have not much what to offer against them. And Efes is main favourite to win not only Turkish league, but also Euroleague too. I think that Fenerbahce can win one game against them, but not series. In recent 2 seasons Efes turned int one of best teams in Europe. Despite it, I don't think that Ataman is one of best coaches in Eurpe, he simply gives much freedom to Larkin and co.

Yesterday Türk Telekom won and now serie is 1-1. Pınar Karşıyaka must win at home to qualify. Fenerbahçe Beko didn't make a mistake and won the serie 2-0 against Darüşşafaka Tekfen.
Today Anadolu Efes and Beşiktaş Icrypex will play to qualify. I expect both teams to finish their series because Efes's opponent Gaziantep is not a serious threat for them and they don't want to extend the serie and Beşiktaş won in away game, they should finish this one at home court otherwise third game will be harder for them.

Today Anadolu Efes won third game and finished the serie, they are the first finalist. There were huge difference between these teams financially, Beşiktaş players did whatever they can do, even semi final was a big achievement for them. Efes lineup is in high tier Euroleague level, Beşiktaş play with young players mostly.
In other semi final clash Fenerbahçe Beko and Karşıyaka will play at least two more games, serie is 1-1. Tomorrow they will play third game in Karşıyaka.

We are waiting for third game of final series, Anadolu Efes is leading 2-0 and if they win this game they will be the champion. Fenerbahçe Beko need to win 3 games in a row, that's a though job and I don't think they can do it. I think Efes will finish the series either today or in fourth match. Second game was pretty intense and too many players involved in a fight and got disqualified. I hope this game we won't see such things. I'm expecting good defense from Efes, if they don't let Fenerbahçe to score more than 73 points just like previous two games, I believe they will get the job done today.

After Euroleague victory Anadolu Efes seems tough, they are far better team than Fenerbahçe Beko. Latest match will hold tension high Fenerbahçe for sure and team will be prone to errors. They also miss many players because of disqualification. In summary I think Efes will get another easy win especially after 3rd period.

First quarter was more balanced but Anadolu Efes put the difference in second quarter, they did a great defense and only let 7 points for Fenerbahçe. There were too many offensive fouls and missing balls. Second half Anadolu Efes keep the point difference, Fenerbahçe Beko struggle to score, it may be the end for them unless we see any explosive event, players look like they already accepted the defeat. Anadolu Efes is counting minutes to become the next champion.

Efes did what they were supposed to do. 40 points, 22 and 27 - this is point difference in all 3 final series games. It was probably most boring final series in Turkish league in recent years. After all, Efes now is best team in Europe.
But for them it won't be easy to defend domestic and Euroleague trophy next season. If Micic and Larkin will go to NBA, it will be almost impossible to find same level replacement for them.
In Fenerbahche it will be interesting summer too after very difficult season.

Anadolu Efes become champion of Turkish Basketball League two times in a row. They did it without a single loss in play-offs and only one loss in regular season, that's pretty impressive season for them. This is their 14th championship total, big domination. Last year league couldn't be finished because of corona virus.
Rodrigue Beaubois played great in finals and got the MVP award.
Coach Ergin Ataman won his fifth league championship, I think after this year we can easily say he's the greatest Turkish coach of all time.
