On a lighter note, Eth 2.0 will be the next ethereum . On a serious note, I have always said that ethereum will retain its position and value no matter how good blockchain network comes forward to compete with it simply because market is with ethereum and to replace it from the market is not a thing that can happen in near future.

Please stop this kind of topic. There's no point discussing who will be the next Ethereum. Since a few years ago, there have been discussions like this and a lot of tokens and coins have been said to be the next Ethereum.
But not any of them did follow the path of Ethereum.

Hello friends, I'm new on btc talk, I already hear him and look on him few years ago but now I have an account and it's my first speak on it.

So, I have looked on some of crypto projects and I want tell you one, I have invested on it but it's not very know actually, it's called "Uniris" and the particularity of him it's 1 million trx per second and bio metric security system and certificate by french government to make security on a big evenements like jo 2024 in french. I'm very curious to have your return on him, I think he have a good potential to be the future, the main net is for half 2021 so we will see but I have never see a huge gap like that, I am very curious for your opinions.

Polka dot is trying to do what ethereum already does but with more advanced features and more efficiency but i do not think that eth can simply fail, others will struggle to find the users and clients while ethereum is already the biggest and most popular choice of the community.

Next Ethereum? How is that even possible to predict? With the way people keeps joining Ethereum community, with all the developments done by the team so far, with the fact eth 2.0 will be launched soon, I think there is nothing like any project replacing Ethereum for now.

I think the true question is "what is better than ethereum" because we can't know if something will "replace" it but the uniris blockchain will be for sure better than etherum 2.0 anyway and that's why I mentioned it just before, you should look on it, it's a great deal.

for me The Next Ethereum is still held by Tron,
because we know that Tron has upgraded to 4.0 and their network is really good,
especially when it comes to transactions, fees incurred are very small, it's different from ethereum, their fees are expensive

There is no next ethereum as such. Ethereum is very powerful and has huge overheads.
There are efficient versions of Etherum that can provide a large number of the use cases ethereum can with much lower overhead.
I dont see any project improving on what ethereum seeks to do exactly.  They have the lead and the funding and network effect.
I see Bitbay ( the project not exchange) as the older but lite version of ethereum with other strengths that nobody knows or has caught on to yet.  Find it but don't expect to be able to buy it anywhere except OTC.

Another one with vast potential but again totally unknown and impossible to buy is blacknet.
Still if you have limited funds and want to find the next eth, forget that and stick with bitcoin or eth.

Tron is already following everything what Ethereum does so it is one of the most serious contender for this post but I think they will continue to co-exist just like they are doing at the moment.

There is no point waiting for the next ethereum as there won't be any in the next couple of years. When eth first live, it didn't take much time before other projects started building their projects to compete against ethereum. I know few others  like tron that has enough similarities and extra to ethereum network. yet still, tron hasn't been able to replace ethereum in #2 place in coinmarketcap. Truth be told, there's no need to compare these cryptocurrencies coz it's not healthy to do such.

No one yet because IEO didn’t succeed that much to replace ICO and smart contracts. ETH will still be the top altcoins and the only altcoins I see as a good competitor is XRP and BNB but for now I’ll go for ETH for the win. Make sure to have ETH before it reach ATH, more good news will come.

Allow me to nominate xrp because, I am a holder of it right now and definitely my holdings $200 isn't enough for my future expenses so I have time to let it grow. Hopefully, my asset will soon reach the price of eth and can be next to it when perfect time comes. Meanwhile, I just let my money be safe at this method of letting it reach the passive income potential profit.

No one. there will be no the next ethereum, ethereum was the creator of smartcontract which being copied by all of the new platforms that have been calling themselves as ethereum killers. The platform must be innovative as ethereum to be the same level as ethereum. The majority of smartcontract platforms were only copy cat of ethereum.
The another can only copying the idea that already made by ethereum. There are bunch of copy cats platform at this moment.

So far there is no candidate, although there are similarities like TRON.
