Hello guys, I have come across many fraud stories lately.People are losing their money. I tried to do something myself to prevent this. I built a completely nonprofit website. Here I check and add all scam sites. Please contribute. I hope that will be useful.

What's the use of ranking on the scam sites if all of them are scam, and maybe you can allow the submission of scam websites without account registrations.

And how does the voting works actually? Just this

"Are you sure that you want to vote for "Hashrange"?" and a Yes or No option. How it affects the listed scam websites if t lots of users vote 'No'?

I think it's better if there is review or description as to why the site is considered scam or what nature of scam they are running. This can be made easier by adding a provision for links to scam accusations or reviews with evidence.

Based on the current state of the website. It can easily be abused.

1. Someone can just add a website that is not a scam and claim its scam with no evidence to prove. How will you vet sites that scam from those that don't?
2. A scammer can create multiple accounts to vote "NO" if their website is listed among scams. How are you going to fight such abuse?

I visited the site and tried to vote without registering an account and this is what I got. " Please re-enter your reCAPTCHA. "
There might be an error or something that your site didn't work well.

Here I check and add all scam sites. Please contribute.
There are too many of them, when you are talking about all scam sites, there would be a specific category of each scam site that you wanted to list on your site.  There's no need to have a rating or voting pool, it's enough to know people that it is a scam site that they must avoid.

Knowingly all cloud minings are a scam, no one of them has existed even for years because it usually ends up scamming people.  So, all cloud mining sites are a red flag for me.  Anyway, you can visit this board if you want to research scam sites, with proper valid proof if you are accusing them of a scam.

Its really hassle to register just for you to make up some votes or submissions yet anyone can abuse this on tarnishing some legit websites and thats one of the cons im seeing thats why
i didnt see the point on why would need to have some sort of list?

This would be a never ending list considering that there are lots of scam sites that do exist. Some had already busted and some is still running up to now since they havent
been busted yet or still trying to accumulate more money into those fool investors who do believe on easy money.

If you are really eager on finding those scammy sites then try to look on scam accusations board and add up to your list into the site

No offense to you OP, but is it just me or is it really pointless to create such list(same with the cryptoscamdb site)? It's pretty much just going to end up being an endless list of domains. In the first place, by the time a certain domain ends up in such list, chances are, the domain has already been used to scam some or a good number of people already. And once the domain has been listed in such sites, they simply purchase a new one. Am I missing something here?

In my opinion, creating content to educate people and detect scams themselves is 99999x better. Kudos to you for trying to help the community though.

Although your list is good but actually it's not helpful to the newbies around maybe try to update your site and add your personal review or put some description on why people need to avoid them.

Look at this site https://badbitcoin.org/ I'm visiting this site if I need to look for some frauds which we need to avoid.

such a model of scam fighting is completely unusable.
how to control the voting? Fraudsters for sure will create bots or whatever they need to adjust the results in their favour. there is a high possibility of abuse, reporting regular business and ruining their reputation. if this service ever became relevant.
All explanation about one scam is "Cloud mining site built entirely on fraud"Huh it is necessary to be more specific.
who approves listing sites there? whether he is experienced enough and how we can be sure in his judgement?
As mk4 says, scammers will easily buy a new domain and start with new business, we just a waste of time here. Check thread [SCAM ALERT] List 270+ scam websites (Updated 08.December '20), there is a 270+ domains which belongs to your list. I guess there is a necessary lot of time to add these websites, make screenshots, collect information, vote ... and after all, the owner will just leave one website and create new.

if you want to improve this project and you want its long-term life, you need there a team of experienced people but I can't see how you can make any profit from there. and somehow you have to get compensation for the time invested. you will most likely give up on everything after spending some time there

I'll give you a better idea. - You already have a database of the scam sites, so you can create a chrome extension that alerts the user if they visit any of the domains from your blaclist. This will be a very effective way of putting your scam list to use.

Like everyone else said, registering and voting seems stupid because what would you do then if the project is so community driven?
