hmm not only Polkadot which is a close competitor Ethereum, but there are still some other top altcoin like BNB and can even also for altcoin out there can be a killer Ethereum, but I think it will not happen in the near future. ethereum still dominates the second rank based on market capitalization CMC.

Ethereum is more popular coin than polkadot and people trust Ethereum more than any altcoin because of the safe investment. Eth showed a gradual growth which is acceptable for almost every traders the reason is every trader want long term investment so Eth is always good for long term investment. Polkadot will take time to reach 1k$ milestone.

Yes, all of that is just a bluff of new tokens and coins so that they are always being glimpsed by many people, especially investors, so it's only natural that they will say that so people think they are strong, even though until this very second Ethereum is still is in a position of its own and nothing can disturb it except Bitcoin.

There is a huge gap between these two coins, while ethereum has been here for a long time, Polkadot is just a newbie, wanting to take the place of ethereum is the desire of many other altcoins but in the end, ethereum is proving its position to be unshakable. This competition is probably just a mutual stimulus, Polkadot's value has soared and ethereum has also started to fix its problems, rather than saying Polkdadot is trying to kill Ethereum, we should say that the two are going up together, competition for growth and this is beneficial for us to invest

Polkadot show very promising growth and development in just a short span of time which is very significant to make it a good contender of ethereum blockchain. And because of that there is a very huge possibility that it can surpass and out perform ethereum especially in terms of transaction speed and gas fee which is mostly needed by us crypto enthusiasts. Polkadot has its popularity nowadays. late last year a lot of people talked about it and early last year in the pump market she also had her moment. I think the potential for Polkadot to compete in the market with Ethereum, as well as BNB, will be even harder. but to kill ethereum I think polka dots will take decades longer when ethereum is no longer on the market.

We don't know and can make sure 100% that it is true depending on the market that will determine it later than that at least we see BNB is in position 3 marketcap, which indicates BNB is the closest to ETH even though the difference is still too far for now but if the market is binance smart chain continues to increase, the price of BNB will continue to rise.

I don't understand why binance is here and its pricing policy. As for me, DOT is a very interesting project with a good future. There may be corrections in the market, there is nothing without them, but in the long dot it will definitely be better than ether and this will affect its price.

Ethereum do not just take the second for position, it is the most robust ecosysytem in the space and will take more than what Polkadot is doing to dethrone Ethereum, the scaling issue is a big threat to Ethereum for now but there are a lot of L2 solutions coming to the market that will help to alleviate the gas price issues when Dapps starts deploying them, just imagine Uniswap and Sushi move to L2 the gas price will plummet instantly because these 2 are great user of the Ethereum resources. I think it's more possible that Cardano can come close to ETH. As for ETH 2.0 it will need some time to do it. Cardano has done same for like couple of years so I don't think ETH can do it so fast.

Since its launch, Cardano has often claimed to be the Ethereum killer.
Even though the development of Cardano has been good so far, they still rank below Eth.
When Ethereum's planned upgrade was successful, improvements Proof of Stake, Plasma, and Sharding.
The other smart contract platforms like Cardano might quickly become irrelevant.

It's not designed to be an Ethereum killer. Gavin Wood himself stated that Polkadot is designed to work in parallel and be complimentary to ethereum and co-exist with each others.

Ethereum is one altcoin that has a large community and many other altcoin project are still working under the Ethereum today. BNB and DOT are competitors and no one know what the future of these altcoin will be like. But I still firmly believe those two altcoin won't kill Ethereum for a long time, but it could still happen if Ethereum fail to fix the fee problem.

There have been many who have tried to compete with the ethereum platform, but many of them have not succeeded because the ethereum platform has been used by thousands of alcoint which are currently circulating on various exchange markets and there are many more alcoint projects that are being built using the ethereum platform ... maybe it could surpass ethereum but not for the resilience and popularity of the ethereum platform which nowadays every cryptocurency user must have.

It takes time, I agree with your statement ETH didn't went up there doing nothing, but by providing useful services where developers enjoyed and really take advanatages of all those available offers.

High fees might turned things against ETH but there's always solutions coming from the team and they'll address it out in order to provide the service with much cheaper possible gas fees.

If Polkadot aimed to dethrone ETH they needed to be more competitive not just hyping but to gather real support
from business side and investors eyes.
