I’m also thinking if this is really possible to happen since we know Bitcoin dominance and we know many still want to see bitcoin on top. ETH is a great platform but I don’t think it can surpass bitcoin in the next ten years because for sure, BTC will become more expensive in the coming years so don’t wait for this.

It's not wrong at all as some people might believe with the utility that already offered by ethereum can make it to surpass bitcoin. I do believe if they will never waste their time just for waiting the price of ethereum to go to the moon soon.
I doesn't matter whether bitcoin is the king or not but if you are seeing from the usability and that might be a real thing in the future.

There's no stopping Ethereum now Eth 2.0 is coming and they are still developing many new investors are coming into the market, they are picking the most progressive coin in the market and Bitcoin and Ethereum is the most progressive coin in the market, but many investors are now looking in Ethereum and make it as equal to Bitcoin in their portfolio distribution.

btc takes the lead by now but before , eth is in the top and btc is at the bottom . what if that can happen again sometime ? there is no development for btc but for eth there is but the development is slow because it was big but i dont believe that it eill take 10 years , thats already long .

it isnt a waste of time because we are not obligated to wait and why its a waste of time when you only need to do is to wait ? holding eth and waiting for that big event is exciting because you can see how your eth investment grows

People would love to see some coin that actually has a decent use case at the top place that is not a news to me, but I do not know how it could happen. To be perfectly honest with you, bitcoin has this first mover advantage that hasn't died down yet, and still goes on, and it is growing even bigger as well, look at the price of bitcoin which already passed well beyond the all time high whereas ethereum is not even near the half of what the all time high was.

So, I think it looks like that bitcoin first mover advantage will continue to grow, I would prefer ethereum to be higher as well, bitcoin doesn't really have that much technological reasons why it is so high, it is just the first one and people love it and that is why it is high, whereas ethereum is awesome and used and bought for purposes and that is why it is high, I would say ETH reason is a lot better.

Ethereum is one of the digital currency looks like the most promising right now, looks stable quite a while which indicate it have potential move more upcoming years. Only time will tell, but right now i\m happy with ETH as second largest market cap.

Ethereum will not create another hype until the full implementation of ethereum update. There are so many people keep talking about these and then more and more rumour about which EIP that will be implemented was also coming to the community and that creates so many speculation about the future of ethereum itself. it looks like people will be going to buy more when the total supply will be determined.
This time people are only betting into the staking update but I'm sure they will be changing their mind for that but it's impossible to surpass bitcoin mcap.

Definitely for the next few years and I think for Bitcoin at least until the next 2 halvings it will just have organic push towards 6 figure sums. ETH 2.0 I'm not sure, first mover yeah but a lot of competitors who haven't got their act together. BTC breaks ATH and ETH still not even 50% of ATH. Really, really hard to say but I would put my eggs in several baskets at this point, but most always still in Bitcoin.

If bitcoin decides to uses satoshi unit instead of BTC as a whole while the price of BTC is already too high Ethereum may not have the chance to surpass bitcoin market cap. It's the most widely used crypto for transaction after all though the main problem with bitcoin is its fee and how long it takes for a confirmation.

There's rumour going around that in the future we gonna use satoshi unit frequently which might sounds good.

Agreed but this time we are talking about the possibility for ethereum to surpass bitcoin. I remember ethereum has ever passed the bitcoin's marketcap a few years ago but this time it looks so different than it.
I consider about bitcoin has attracted more and more institutional investors while ethereum could not do that.
Ethereum has no potential to surpass bitcoin's mcap even with a bunch of update that will be coming soon.

Yes this is possible but will take a lot of dynamics to change because im expecting btc to grow to over 2 trillion market cap in 2021 but we all know ethereum is still very small by market cap as compared to btc so in the near future such comparisons do not seem realistic but yes over a course of years it can definitely happen.

Even with the reforms carried out, ethereum has not yet been able to act for ethereum's interests, because ethereum is still being debated with the issue of gas fees which are still high and are constantly complaining about but the response is too slow and it seems that something is waiting for it.

especially when bitcoin has increased quite high and usually ethereum always sticks to every movement, but now it can't keep up and looks like confused with the very fast movement of bitcoin. It won't surpass bitcoin. Although it will also rise as bitcoin is doing but its time is not yet. It's enough that we're seeing it at 2nd on top of all the cryptos in the market and that's already a good thing for Ethereum. Ethereum is for new projects while bitcoin is as good as a store of value that we've been doing for a long time. You'll not lose having both of them, having 2 breaks the number of investors that have a lot in their portfolio but has little in BTC and eth.

There's a big possibility that it could happen, every year so many things are happening in the industry, it's very important for new and old  investors to follow the market and the industry, there will be new technology coming up and old projects going down, it's probably the best time to be here and be part of this technology, we are shaping the future.

The main point is that there is a big possibility of changes in the industry as it keeps on changing and with regulators finally looking to clamp on the free market and we now know how the SEC went after Ripple and that can happen to any other coin that collected money from investors without the authorities permission and ETH during its initial phase collected funds to launch their project and it will have an impact on the market if the authorities comes down hard on them as majority of the scams were carried out using the ETH platform.

not comparable to bitcoin, which continues to pump and can't be stopped and of course provide a lot of profit for investors now
