I think BTC should not care about advertising by celebrities. Because celebrities may promote BTC for their profit as a duty but actually if BTC rather focuses on improving itself than getting the promotion by others. But should focus on its working structure and find out lackings to prevent weakness then people will know BTC well.

RIght now, Bitcoin price is too high and if people intend to invest their money after listening to an unknown artist, they can suffer a big loss. If a celebrity advertises bitcoin purely for bitcoin and is involved in it and understands it well, I think that's a great idea.

Advertisement is just a fancy word for manipulation, in a sense people remind you of things that you have to buy even if you don't want to buy one. Influence is just another factor to manipulate people, you have spoken through their hearts and they will follow everything you say, there is a reason why companies get celebrities to advertise their brand, they can manipulate the masses into buying or at the least checking it out.

Is the advertisement that manipulate people or are people who allow themselves to be manipulated by advertisements?
I believe advertisements exist to make people aware of potential goods and services they may be interested for if they are acknowledged about them. The final judge is the customer conscience anyway. He will decide if that advertisement promotes something useful or not. If the customer behaves like a brainwashed animal who doesn't have any critical sense it's another story.

But advertisements are very important and useful, especially nowadays in this digital age.
