I dig the statement "money/cash is liquid and it goes where there is a place to fill", but let's not forget that we're talking about smart money here, not retail anymore. Institutions are resourceful in finding the best investments. I don't see them pouring cash into altcoins. Bitcoin is an exception because it is the KING and it is on CMEs, got adopted by a lot of people and companies.

Just because the other coins,tokens out there are classified as cryptocurrencies doesn't mean they will share the same success as the honey badger.

The major reason behind such level of surge (if it happens in near future) will be to add some extra marketcap which will take the collective marketcap of crypto to over trillion dollars, and it will also increase investor confidence ratio in crypto markets. I believe it will all be done to add more capital to these markets in order to lure other big institutions to enter crypto with full confidence that they'll be able to settle their sales whenever they want to, once they see super high volume available to sell it. You'll soon see a 5k-10k BTC put in a range of every few dollars on exchanges just to stop the volatility.

Rules of hype are always the same... you have something new, people go crazy for that, you have a big boom! Stock market back then and now is almost the same, while crypto allows anyone to join the party! You don't need invitation (licenses, any documents...), you just start with what you have and your capabilities and skills well determine your future!
Now we can't use any bad words for stock market and all participants! This is just progress to open market, free for all, open 24/7! Who joins eviler will learn more stuff and have more benefits, the ones behind will have a problem to adapt, but they will have too...eventually!
