Ok, but see post above. We mined enough blocks to make the block-chain stable and to extract checkpoints.

This is what flubber posted above

No not true I was fast with solo and found 22 blocks before block 190 ...

Already 250+ blocks mined when DEV posted wallets, DEV friends are happy!

this

flubber is a lying sack of shit

LOL. Not sure why the dev would quote this without comment..... Regardless the countdown clock was definitely up on the website past block 250. Aside from the minor annoyance of missing the launch due to this, I think this coin looks promising.

Their comment is above the quote.

Maybe it was put up on their site last?

Well, lets see.  A bad launch, a re launch when most people from UK will be asleep?  And no real decent info as to when the re launch was.  Do I trust this team with the future of my country's crypto currency?  hardly.

As explained in this thread and on the blog, we had a cluster of VPSs go down that were acting as DNS seeds. Adrian worked his ass off to rebuild 10 more.

We're sorry about the delay, but we will be running some great competitions on the forum and giving away 5,000 to 10,000 coins per month.

Obviously, we can't please everyone.

Obviously, we can't please everyone.

Oh you mean like the people who this coin was made for?  you know, the citizens of the UK!  What were you and your team thinking launching a country coin at a time when it's residents are asleep?  I could understand if this was just another scrypt coin like doge or moon but it isn't is it.
So "please" any other country but the one that matters? ok, makes sense....not.  I am sure the UK residents will be happy when they wake up and see the difficulty levels and what amount of coinage they will get compared to the people you could please(not from UK)

Like I already said, I wouldn't trust a team who don't even put their own citizens 1st on a UK coin launch.  A delay of another day would of been acceptable but a night launch just shows stupidity and a lack of respect for your own country, sorry.

Anyone else having trouble getting their Windows wallet to sync? The provided addnodes have been added to a config file, but no luck.

Just checked the wallet with the nodes listed and I'm getting 15 active connections.

If your problem persists, try this: open a DOS window and run gbcoin-qt.exe -reindex

No, sorry to say it is not working still after trying to reindex through command prompt. Could it be because I encrypted it before running with the provided addnodes?

The encryption process doesn't affect syncing.

Let me find a couple of IPs you could use to connect to.
