I try to improve myself on crypto trading and also on psychology aspect of trading. The path of a trader is not as easy as most think. It is quite different lifestyle portrayed on Instagram. There are quite a lot of fake trading 'experts' who create trading channels to sell signals to traders, or people who impersonate to be big time crypto traders and Investors who send people friend requests on social media and straight-away PM's different people with one trading advice, signal or investment of some sorts, they are all scammers. Yes we can't get can't rid of our emotions but we can control them. Fear and greed are both dangerous when trading but you can control them and use as a tool for your benefit.

I think everything you listed can be summarized into the list I have below. There are three important factors that you should be considering when trading.

• Making sure you are Risk Managing - Trade limits, Stop losses per trade, How much you are going to risk, etc.
• Be Emotionless - Don't get affected by your positions. Never act emotionally

Trading is a marathon. It's aiming to be alive and kicking in the long run and having continuous profits. As long as you are profiting, whether small or big, be happy and stay above water. Never risk too much. Have a trading plan and take advantage of compounding interest.

I haven't found much useful information here. If we notice, most beginner losing their funds on the trading so quickly. The main reason for losing funds is the lack of trading experience. It's not really easy to earn from the trading, but a beginner thinks just they could earn easily from the trading. They don't have enough patience to determine what they should do. I know they look very obvious, I know that if you are a newbie even you think you know what this post is talking about, but believe me there are so many people who have ended up doing a trade out of emotion and broke at least one of the rules. My biggest mistake has always been using more than 6% for example, I try to keep myself within 5% for each of my trade, and each time I did any of it, I ended up using as much as 40% for some of my trades.

Before using such leverage on amy exchange offering futures and perpetuals, I'm sure that they'll make it very clear that a high leverage such as 125x comes with high risks too. So, only someone who knows their way around trading cryptocurrencies and futures would go ahead to do it. Only someone who is ready to lose their funds will readily opt to use 125x leverage when they know they lose 125% for every 1% decline in the other direction.

in the opening post all traders know about it, because it is basic knowledge. But the problem is we all often forget it or even underestimate it.
As I experienced in 2017/2018, I don't use stop-loss when investing in Bitcoin and altcoins, even though I know the importance of the stop-loss
feature.

Because I was too confident at that time when the crypto price would continue to rise, and in the end, you can guess that I suffered a big loss.

I think this is the most important of them all you highlighted above. Having no stop loss in your trade is similar to a car not having a break to prevent an accident from occuring and you know when it does occur, it'll lead to death or injuries which the car most likely will be destroyed in the process. Now imagine similar even happening to your trading funds in the exchange.

Stop loss isn't all about preventing your from losing but can be used in securing the profits you have recorded from you previous trading hours or days. The common recommendation is from 5% to 10% and this shouldn't always be from your entering point into a trade.

I suppose it resembles gambling a bit in that regard. When a gambler gambles and loses, they martingale, and when they lose again they go even harder on it, and they keep doing it over and over again until they win or they bust and leave with no money at all.

I have seen plenty of people who said they lost 10 times in a row at 50% win chance and how they claim it was a very low chance to reach 10 losses in a row at 50% chance, but the reality is that, 10th is still 50% chance to lose, it is not lower than the previous ones. So that logic of gamblers chasing losses do happen to traders, both when they lose money on a trade, or even on a trade where they made a bit but the price went super high so they missed on profit.

These two are the most important parts of your posts based on my own experience with trading, you should not overplay your hands and keep trading an asset because it worked perfectly once or twice for you, you always should set a profit/loss limit for yourself in a day/week that if reached you should cut losses/take profit and move on from that trade.

Also don't ever get on a trade with your full capital no matter how much you think it's a very good opportunity, for instance if you have $1000 to trade with, buy only $50 worth of that token/coin, that way you can start dollar cost averaging if it kept going down and get a better entry price and eventually be able to get out from that trade with profit or at the very least on break even, while if you bough into that coin/token with full or even half of your capital you would lose a lot of money and were unable to average down because you're ran out of capital to trade.

Incompetence is just one side of the equation, after all you can be really bad at trading and as long as you used your common sense and stayed away from the market you will not lose money as you understand that since trading is a competition then that means that you are a great disadvantage against other traders thanks to that incompetence, so what makes people trade even when they know they are incompetent? How about if you already have that discipline within you, but unfortunately you still lost in trading? That's true. With the way all those numbers banging in your eyes, it doesn't get any easier. Mastering technical analysis using drawing tools, chart patterns or even indicators is one part, mastering one's emotional is another. I would say that this thing is cant really be avoided because no matter how disciplined you are, it would really be have its cons ex. waiting up for too long for you to enter the market but you had actually already

Unfortunately I have met with people like that as well, and this wasn't some rich person neither, he was already a very very poor guy, he had 25k in savings which is awesome but that was thanks to his life prior, he lost his job due to pandemic, and his wife was working just a month after giving birth to their baby to keep the family alive, dude got into bitcoin with his 25k and lost almost all of it (do not get in at the peak) and did all those high leverages like 100x in order to make it back and lost it all.

That type of thinking exists in all parts of life as well. Leverage at 125x means you will lose everything with a ~1% drop in the coin you purchased and its awful because in crypto 5-10% drop and rise is normal and I know that yeah if someone lets say did the same thing when BTC was 20k and then it reached 40k in no time, the guy can become a millionaire but the truth is that even during the rise there are small drops and you will lose everything on futures trading with 125x leverage.

I would say 5x is a good option because a 20% drop is not expected suddenly and you can find your balance in case you see the market is crashing, at least it gives you time to react and stabilize but at 1% liquidation there is absolutely no chance.

Smile!!! I do not think there is any trader who has not had a share of loosing money while trading. My friend I and lost close to $1,500 in the space of just 25 days alone. We need money do badly, and we also want to make quick profit. We entered into multiple trade hopiy it will go in our favor, and the trades went otherwise. I think there is a better way to deal with a negative trade. If my trade goes against me then I can rebuy the same amount of token if the price dump 10 to 15% from my buying price. If the price still goes down then I can do one more buy but this time the amounts will be double. This dollar cost average will lower my entry points and if that project is good it will surely bull after sometimes. That is called DCA, if you get in small by small but consistently, you are going to have a good base of entry points, and do this daily for couple months period and you are going to have an excellent one as well. Bitcoin is something that goes up in the long term, sure it may go down time to time but it always goes up in the long term, but if you invest just 100 bucks, even if it does 10x increase (which is unlikely anytime soon) it is going to be 1000 dollars, that is a good amount of money but that is not life changing amount in the poorest of nations, it is a good amount but you are not going to suddenly retire and live forever with 1000 dollars in any nation in the world.

Yeah and just tell an ICO owner that you have money they will convince you into investing your money somehow. I have been lured into investing myself so I cannot blame others but we must avoid ICOs now days completely unless someone of your own family is working in their team .
