Binance as being the best exchange of 2020, binance was the first and also with the highest trading volume, the trading volume is now more than $20 billion. Huobi global is the second according to coinmarketcap. What I still also know about binance is the low trading fee of 0.1% while the withdrawal fee is still one of the lowest.

You are not wrong, the trading fee is still good for Hitbtc which is 0.1% for makers and 0.25% for takers, but the withdrawal fee is too high. Like if you want to withdraw bitcoin, it costs 0.0015 btc for withdrawal fee, even ripple withdrawal is very high which is one of the lowest with cheapest fee. Using the exchange for withdrawal is very discouraging because of the high transaction fee.

This exchange is also good if you're avoiding the KYC and the hodlhodl that was mentioned. But it's still a long year and there might be some changes that will be done by Binance and other centralized exchanges. While the decentralized exchanges, they'll just keep going without any changes.

Well, when we are seeking the best exchange of course the liquidity and large volume of each coin. I still prefer a Binance exchange because of a wide selection of coins when we are in trading. Perhaps this is the trader's choice, ^[Binance], if your concern is the AML/KYC verification, they allow users not to use it as long as you trade under 2 BTC in your account. From 2020 and perhaps until this year ^[2021] binance is still the best exchange for me. I never tried DEXs.

What I don't like in uniswap is they have many shit coins listed there and you can only trade ethereum contract tokens unlike centralized exchange.


My choice is binance for a reason that this exchange have a good trading volume for every coins and they never add coins easily .so if they list a coins there are good reasons and they review the project   first before adding .

Yep, I think it's only Binance and also Uniswap. Binance is very good at doing their IEO as well as Uniswap as Dex is able to provide something that no other dex platform has been able to provide in recent years. I might as well choose Coinbase as an alternative

If it's about the best exchange, I choose Binance as the best exchange in 2020, and I don't use the other option from @OP. I wonder why BitMEX is not on the list because BitMEX is a good exchange so far. KuCoin is also not on the list, so I think @OP can add more options to have more exchanges to select. This year, I think many exchanges will try to compete, and maybe Binance will have more competitors at the crypto exchanges. But I am sure that if Binance can manage or maintain their services better than before, they will still be the best exchange this year.

My vote has to go to binance as that's the exchange I spent most of my trading time last year at and they refreshed my memory by giving me a review of my trading experience few days back. Binance got it all when trading is in the discussion, the have varieties of coins to make your selection from and also have fiats deposits and trading of popular county in the cryptocurrency space so surfer your country has a huge interest in the industry, there's every possibility that your local currency will be listed on binance.

Binance also have one of the lowest charges in the industry and their advance trading platforms has all you can ask for. The bad part about UNI is that it's limited, you can't put every single coin there, you do not even put all the ERC20 tokens there, some of them are out, either because they are very low and not have any liquidity provider at all, so they are totally useless, or they are not there for not being listed somehow I suppose (because idea is getting all erc20 tokens in the end). Whereas in places like binance you can list anything you want, it could be erc20 token, it could be bnb chain, it could be tron, it could be its own chain, it could be simply ANY coin you want and it could be listed there.

Plus when it comes to volume, there is absolutely nothing at all that can compare to binance, even with 32+ billion dollars liquidity provided on Uniswap at its peak, it was still lacking volume in some tokens, whereas binance has high volume on everything they have which makes trading better.

Personally I am not the big one who tried maximum exchanges in the world. But what I have tried in last 3-4 years I always prefer to use binance as the best. The reason behind it

This poll is almost silly, but I had to cast my vote for Binance (even though I can't use it because of where I live).  It's miles ahead of the rest--even Coinbase--and there are only a couple of exchanges that have their level of trust and selection of altcoins.  Kucoin comes to mind, but it wasn't in the poll options.

As I'm expecting there to be some serious consolidation in the crypto exchange space, this is making me wonder what a poll like this will look like at the end of 2021.  I'm not sure how long it's going to take for buyouts/takeovers/attrition to happen, but I am expecting the total number of exchanges to decrease, especially as people stop using them because of their KYC requirements.  Should be a very interesting year indeed.

I never use other exchange except binance, indeed I have an account in another exchange like OKEx, Bitfinex, Kucoin, coinnone but I never use them I just trade in binance account. Until now I have problem when using the exchange, they always make the user comfortable to still usinh the exchange especially they have many event and give a huge money.

As example at the end of last year they offer to make a giveaway with a resolution hope for this year and for those who make attractive resolution will have a chance to get $1000 for five winner. Also, binance exchange always give a new token for those user who trade at the certain time. Like a few days ago, they give 100 TWT token worth of $15 at this now. These thing will make the user comfortable when using the exchange, so in your pool I choose binance only.

Currently, due to ETH increasing and dense transactions, ETH transaction fees are high. I have rarely used Dex exchange for almost 1 Month. if the nominal swap is not large, it will suffer a loss using Uniswap.

I also prefer to use centralized exchanges and this is primarily due to the functionality that such exchanges represent.But I also can't do without using DEX exchanges. Very often I have to buy an interesting coin for me, which is not traded anywhere else, except for decentralized exchanges.

Binance and Okex is the best exchange for me specially in trading. We have local crypto exchange which is the best exchange also specially if I'm going to convert my crypto currency into our fiat money and cashing out, it's very helpful.

Local exchanges are usually the best ones when you involved fiat into the logic, because we can't get our fiat money from binance, and I can't do that from coinbase neither because I do not live in a place that coinbase works with, so at the end of the day we are not talking about anything substantial here, we are talking about only fiat here and that is when the local exchanges become the best.

I honestly haven't traded too much in all of 2020 at binance, you wanna know why? Because, my local exchange both allows me the withdraw directly to my bank account, but it also has about 20-30 coins in there as well, so if I wanted to, I could trade there as well. So, I feel like a common exchange deal is getting older and older and will probably not work, all those binance and kucoin and okex type of places will end, there will be dex and local ones.

There are no arguments that binance will be at the top with massive trading pairs but this may differ with your needs and choice. Like if you want to use crypto and fiat for deposit withdraw and trade then FTX is also good and they charge zero withdrawal fees for crypto as I know. That is usually what happened with the exchanges in the recent year or so. People have two exchanges they use, binance and local. Local ones got super high this year, because people wanted to get out of bitcoin, they made a ton of profit, and the best way to sell was local exchanges in order to get the fiat into your bank account, people who had few bitcoins and more literally turned into super rich people, and that is why I think they ended up so famous, it was possible to use them before as well but it wasn't this much money.

Hopefully this year it will be even more because if bitcoin price goes up higher then local exchanges will be used more as well, hence I hope local exchanges would be used more. Binance on the other hand is all things crypto, we have everything there and their chain is getting a lot more attention these days too, so I guess that is why they are top choice.

I agree with your intelligence and your preferred exchange is fairly best to me. However, there are a lot of withdraw fees on hitbtc, but you can convert your token to dogecoin if you want because the withdrawal fees of dogecoin are much lower in hitbtc exchange. You can also use binance exchange to sell dogecoin where withdraw fees are very low.

It is hard to choose the best exchange for the year 2020 because there were severla unfoldings; binance using safu to safe investors from debt; uniswap rising highest to becoming the most valuable and easy to use dex exchange; kucoin and binance creating p2p and local currency withdrawals, okex and binance having their own chain as well as huobi. I think i will give binance the best exchange, as well as uniswap exchange.

It shouldn't be hard since there's a regular reoccurring in all you just said which is the binance exchange. They outperformed themselves last year since they improve on other services they provided the year before last. The fiat withdrawal and deposit service was made more appealing as the transaction became almost instant without any delay.

If I was to criticize them, I will start with them putting the profit of their company over their customers. They got cut in the defi madness as well because during that period they listed anything that had defi in their name without doing due diligence, just to redirect the traffic to their exchange not minding if the traders might get hurt in the process.

I understand that exchange don't owe it to anyone per se if they aren't upfront with their research and basically rely on exchange for investment selection but I think they should have realized that many individual put their trust on the exchange to only list worthy projects worth investing in. Guess they knew this and took advantage of it to pump their bags.

what you choose with uniswap is something that deserves to be taken into account, because newcomers provide an alternative that many people can do to find the convenience that will be accepted, because the rules are very simple and accommodate all coins, of course a very special thing, remembering the past with etherdelta also a lot of enthusiasts.
but for uniswap, there may still be a crucial problem. The fee is quite large, if possible, like etheredelta, it might be quite attractive.

Binance is always setting the standards for other exchanges to follow with their innovative products and services. Having used a lot of exchanges in 2020, I kept going back to using Binance since no other exchange seem to match their service offerings. Other exchanges were trying to keep up most of the time to Binance's fast spaced growth. It's amazing how Binance outperforms other exchanges every year since their inception - year in, year out.

While for DEX, Uniswap gets my vote. Uniswap deserves everything it has achieved so far and probably more. I mean, these guys practically started the DeFi trend and spearheaded for majority of 2020. I forgot to even mention the fact that Uniswap volumes surpassed that of coinbase at some point. I have made my choices and here's how I voted:

Binance is CEX but it is also a DEX as well and has many swaps in it as well. Basically the system is the same as sushiswap or uniswap and there is nothing different, the only difference is you trade the tokens on BSC instead of ETH and thats it.

I feel like ETH high fee will make people get away from it as further as possible, which is why I think it is going to be a huge entertaining place with under 30-40 cents payments, even under 20 cents on slow days. So that is why I would say as CEX it is binance but as a DEX it would still be Binance but not itself, the BSC related swaps there, you can pick pancakeswap which is the most used one, but you can pick anything you want, bakeryswap is also a big known one as well, and new ones come up every single day as well. So, I believe it is not going to be that shocking to see them dominating that market too.

Well, I do not want to suggest anyone but as a users of these list of exchange. I want to say which exchange i used most for centralized exchange i actually started from Coinbase. Actually i am from Bangladesh and when i start my journey in crypto i search on youtube for a wallet for bitcoin in Bangladesh then i got suggest for coinbase. It's like you find exchanges you suit, and you use them, exchange doesn't have to be famous or top exchanges, there are many others, good ones!

Until now, I deem Binance exchange to be the best cause it was the first exchange to integrated customers protection fund through the SAFU and it was the first exchange that give back to their customers.

Uniswap is not a year old yet, it is not even 6 months old, and it is already seen as the biggest rival of binance right now, all they did was allow people to keep their funds on their own wallets without giving the owners to a centralized exchange, and only trade it directly from their wallets.

Uniswap shouldnt be deem as Binance rival because there procedure of services is different and the last time I checked it the DeFi and the airdrop done by Uniswap that bring the exchange to lime light. I've never really used binance but it's has always been my best exchange, followed by uniswap, the only problem I have with uniswap is the fee, the fees one spend trading on that platform is so high, I dont know if it's like this for everyone, but what I know for sure is that it's the best truly decentralized exchange so far.

In my opinion we should not mix CEX and DEX, they business and how they work in a different way. In my opinion the best CEX is binance so far and the best DEX is Uniswap because Uniswap has no real or strong competitors. Binance is still the main attraction for investors to use it, especially with the leverage-based trading feature (futures) being one of the main good options for trading, but UNISWAP has also had an appeal in the last few months considering that this exchange was only launched a few months ago I think it's pretty good to see future developments.

If you look at it from a fee perspective, I think this is also because the movement of altcoins is experiencing a positive trend so that fees, which usually can still go up high if we look at it in terms of USD.

I wonder why BitMEX is not on the list because BitMEX is a good exchange so far. KuCoin is also not on the list, so I think @OP can add more options to have more exchanges to select. Looking with transaction fees you need when selling or buying coin on Uniswap, right now after ethereum raise above $1,600 you need 50$ each transaction for approving, swap and sending your assets from Uniswap, look how much you will pay every time when transaction on Uniswap, so I keep choose with Binance as my favorite exchange because never take much fee, maybe with fees transaction on Uniswap is more enough for getting profit.

If you want trade shitcoins, Binance is great choice, rest of exchanges are absolute thrash in volume. If you dont trade or only trade majors, kraken, huobi, gemini, bitfinex are decent but shitcoins only Binance.

Never take place for trading on Uniswap because you will take more than 100$ as payment fees transaction, so now only use exchange have lower fees transaction for trading like Binance, Kucoin or you can use Bittrex. Very not recommended if your coin listed on Uniswap as exchange you should looking which one other exchange listed your coin, I think 100$ is not enough as payment fees for swap, approved and selling coin on Uniswap.

I too would say binance, it is by far the best one even in a defi year. I know that in the year 2020 we have seen a lot of defi exchanges or better yet known dex got more popular and many people moved to those ones, but I still think those are for exchanging lower level coins and tokens and not for the big ones, there could be some big ones listed on those as well but those big ones are mainly on CEX right now and not there.

This is why I think binance is better, they are growing bigger and they are taking part of the pools and staking and so forth as well, so they are moving away from just being simply a cex too, and they have done that part perfectly as well. I think they are going to keep growing, no matter where crypto world goes, there will be binance and you can see that from the increasing price of bnb as well since many people still want that.
