Personally, I definitely choose to buy and invest in Ethereum for now, then the reason is very simple, because Ethereum is ranked 2 on coinmarketcap and the price of Ethereum has not yet touched its ATH price, even though Bitcoin has already set a new record for its ATH price, so it makes me believe that soon the price of Ethereum will definitely increase at least in its ATH price (my target for the price of Ethereum at $1500-$1800).

Everything else when bitcoin pops out other altcoins will going to follow too so buying altcoins now are risky for losses especially if you wanted to earn in cryptocurrency investment. It seems like what you expect is correct and understandable if you decide to choose Ethereum, but I also suggest that it should be remembered that almost all the altcoins of the past year had nothing to move due to the confusing way bitcoin works with the short term. so all altcoins cannot keep up with bitcoin movements.
so this year it is predicted that all of the altcoins will reach their newest ATH and is highly anticipated, as the increase in bitcoin does not get many other than the big traders. only with the increase in altcoins will be able to make all passionate can benefit too.

The only right reason to "invest" in an Alt-coin project is if you are part of the team or are actually trying to build something on top of the platform. If you take the role of a starry-eyed investor hoping that something like Enjin will be as big as a well established Game studio then believe me, you are mistaken.

Like you, I'm of the same opinion that it would be a much better idea to stick with the new, performing new altcoins in the market rather than patronizing old altcoins that people rarely talk about. Often times, those shiny, new altcoins are the first to get pumped when there's a bull run. Older altcoins do get their own moments too but it's like a lottery for the lot of them.

I don't have a plan to buy those coins, for now I don't consider cheap price to buy but the potential to rise in the near future. Out of the ones you listed I like ENJ and IOTA but all of those projects already increased in value. If you want to get rich in crypto you need to invest in microcaps like UNCX and 0xMR before they moon.

The coins you have mentioned they are all good and I have noticed them few times that they are growing very well. But in terms of usage, I can’t really tell you that they have high usage, I would only say that people are just investing and trading them on exchanges I guess? It’s not like Bitcoin that is being used by everyone for normal daily transactions.

It’s only with few coins that you will talk about usage, others are not really being used that much by people . But these coins are going great, though I’d like to add that cheapness shouldn’t be the main thing you look at. You can take Bitcoin as an example, it isn’t cheap, but look how far it moved.

Tbh, I have no plan nor interest in investing in those altcoins you have mentioned because I have my set of altcoins that I prioritize over those on your list op. To be honest im recently buying and accumulating tron trx because this coin is not only undervalued but is a clesr under the radar coin because some other similar coins have already yielded 10x to 20x gains in last few monyhs but trx is still in the bityom range so i expect big gains soon.

I would invest in BNB, Cardano, DOT, XRP, and ETH. The altcoin season is obviously pumping and almost a lot of the altcoins are pumping at the moment but I can see so much potential to these tokens. Well said, right now the market is really bullish despite some corrections in some coins and tokens. Although I think even when we invest at times when the market is down, we must have a long term vision and should not touch coins which would die within a few months and have no real development behind them. I agree. I think DEFI project will not last long and the only thing they trigger them are the hype going on. Unlike other coins that have great security and huge potential over the market. It looks like the ICO projects back in 2017-18 that after the hype, they can't be able to continue then vanished in crypto world.

Investing in top altcoins and in BTC is really great choice and most people follow this method including me. There is also another project which has potential either. However we should be more careful about investing in new projects, that is why they can get shit easily in the future and instead of investing in them, you should make hard research. I am also starting to buy BNB but still waiting for the dip but my concern with monero and other privacy coin or anonymous coin is that they could get delisted like anytime which means they're not suitable for investment.

I am personally interested in the native cryptocurrency of the Brave browser, Basic Attention Token (BAT). Brave announced that they have a plan to expand the usefulness of their token, which will inevitably add value to it. Honestly, none of the criteria you list are that important and things like "haven't been heavily premined" could actually be a disadvantage (some server farms will scoop up huge volumes and have extremely low server costs while diluting your stake). There are already plenty of solid cryptocurrencies out there and the key thing you need to be looking for that creates value is a "unique selling point" - something that is new, useful and distinguishes a coin from anything else currently available. Whether that is increased security, protection against things like a 51% attack, faster speed or lower fees than current offerings. Stick with analyzing some of the already strong altcoins like Litecoin, ETH and Dogecoin - buy low, sell high, instead of chasing 1 coin out of a 100 that might fail. Development teams can fall apart and disintegrate in a matter of days for trivial reasons, however long their history, so maybe look for coins that will function well with minimal project management required.

This year it seems most shitcoins are giving higher returns. Take for example the joke coin also known as meme coin has given more returns than any other respectable coin in just a month. Making a tattoo wont be wise. If due to Elon Musk actions dogecoin reaches $1, smart move would be to make a collaboration with Tesla. Currently high gas fee and network congestion on Ethereum does not solved yet, and there are some smart contract platform that offer lower transaction fee and high TPS. You have to keep in mind that most of the meme coins currently circulating in the market right now have a high-risk rating and certainly won't last long. Just stick to those well-established and stable coins. The likes of ETH, ADA, LTC, BNB are excellent choices.
