ETH’s “top” this market cycle?

Ethereum can break the All time high price and reach $5,000, with the potential of reaching $8,000 to $10,000,  but I can't see it reaching $50,000 in the nearest future. For ethereum to go higher, it needs to solve certain problems, especially the issue associated with gas fee. Earlier, it promised to solve the issue of gas fee and network congestion, which bitcoin was experiencing at the peak of 2017 bull season. Maybe ETH 2.0 will solve many problems associated with ETH.

Ethereum will reach the new ATH very quickly. Unfortunately, as in the case of BTC, it is difficult to determine at what level the price may peak. At this point, the chances are that it could be $3k as well as $15k. Anyway we can be sure that price will go up, so it is enough just wait and we will find out.

Ethereum has “woken” from its long slumber and risen 2.5x (250%) from its price of $400 USD in Sept/Oct 20 to over $1,000 USD in the last few days with a parabolic rise! It seems like only a matter of time until ETH surpasses its ATH from Jan 2018 of $1,450 USD which would be a 3.5x rise (350%) from Sept/Oct, and optimistically I can envisage it’s price rising to $4,000 USD in the ‘altcoin season’ of 2021 that has now started which would be a 10x rise (1,000%) from its price in Sept/Oct 20 for potentially life changing profits if you’re in now! But does anyone think ETH can go to $50K USD as Ivan On Tech predicated quite emphatically yesterday in his daily Youtube broadcast (watch from 9mins in to 10.5 mins) https://youtu.be/QoQyzAekIa8 - which would be an incredible 125x rise (12,500%) from the Sept/Oct price of $400 USD, and a 500x rise (5,000%) from the current price of $1,000 USD as this altcoin bull market of 2021 starts! Was he joking? (he didn’t seem to be), as he high? (umm who knows but he seemed on cue and on the ball orherwise), was he mistaken meaning $5k and not $50K (no he was adamant about this saying first that ETH would definitely go to $20K this cycle which was BTC’s peak in the last cycle, and then after a moments consideration predicting for 15 secs+ that he believed ETH would probably go much higher to 50K+ in this market cycle which would be MORE than life changing and make even the mega-rich envious of the wealth created!💰).

What do others here think of this speculation which seems incredible and unbelievable but who knows - do you think a $50K USD ETH top in this market cycle is crazy talk, or do you think it’s a wildly optimistic possibility with DeFi that’s going to be huge in 2021 running 95% on ETH and with ETH 2.0 offering the promise of massive scalability just in time hopefully to save the day from the “ETH-killers”! Thoughts? ....

It seems that Ether is following Bitcoin again in today's crash and alts continue to struggle bigger in market dips.

I believe $1k-1.5k could happen since history is a good reference for it even if Vitalik said it might not happen again.
The creator might have surrendered but not its supporters. I guess that's how good Ethereum is even with all the ruckus he made.
It can rise more with the staking process but they will have to be careful with their updates.

After recent spike it looking very clear ETH is ready for ATH in short time of period but hard to predict where it will be this time. Now we have more liquidity and more big investors as compare with 2017/2018 so that only strong would make big profit and traders have no chance to catch the rally as like they are selling.

It is very interesting what happened, ETH was only 100 dollars away to be able to set a new ATH and suddenly the price crashed, as we know bitcoin and ethereum are heavily correlated and when bitcoin crashed ethereum crashed even harder, but while this was to be expected this should be worrying as well, when ethereum will begin to move on its own? It is always depending on bitcoin making gains in order to rise in price as well and this kind of dependency in another project is never a good thing over the long term.

your prediction is still non sense dude consider bitcoin is not even reached a half from the 100k rate. it may possible when you are saying it at the time when the price of bitcoin touched at least 70k rate.
I just predict ETH can only break ATH and it may try to take $1500 as the peak price position that can be reached by ethereum.

For now, I am not as bullish on Ethereum as before unless the team is able to solve their scaling issue, though there are some L2 solutions coming out this year, the issue here is that they are going to drive value away from Ethereum because they will have their own tokens just look at XDai for example, Optimistic is VC backed and I believe these VCs will want return from their investments

Hopefully you did not put your money when ETH is at the peak since you provably get worried for the current dumping activities happened recently and I don't know if you can able to hold your emotion on not to sell when something strange happen in the market. But if you feel it's hard to buy at $1000 maybe try to find a better position so that you can earn a little percentage of profit on your daily trades.

ethereum gas fees are still problematic and it seems that the changes made by ethereum have not affected gas fees which remain high and there are no significant changes to do so. Many people have been looking for alternative exchanges in order to avoid the Ehtereum where gas fees are still high.

ethereum is actually rising which also benefits from other altcoin holders because it will definitely have an impact on an increase, in contrast to bitcoin, which last year went up high, it has no impact at all on altcoins so the bounty is devoid of surprises.
I would rather agree that ethereum is going up even though I can't avoid that bitcoin will also have an impact. if you can go up to $ 10K it looks like it could happen and is not impossible, we just have to wait.

I believe the fee is not that important as long as people keep using it. The dilemma with the fee's and why they do not drop ever is the fact that the reason it Is up is the reason why it Is used as well. People use ethereum and that increases the fee's, if they didn't use it the fee would be lower but if the fee is lower they would prefer it again and that would make it lower. So, it never gets lower because people know that if they stop using it the fee will get lower so there is no point of dropping ethereum to pick something else.

Everyone hopes others stop using ethereum but nobody does. I believe the fee situation will be fixed but it will take some time, probably with 2.0 there will be no issue at all, and that Is obviously a long time away but I believe that Is the only way ethereum fee could drop, otherwise it will not drop all by itself by what we do.

The current market demand and supply does prove ETH to experience some growth in price than Bitcoin but all this happen because of the market correction which Bitcoin market is experiencing and the arbitrage trader switch to altcoin market which is expected since Bitcoin seems to be the only coin gaining surge in price due to institutions accumulation.

Hard to predict the exact name of a market cycle, can be a correction or another leg of the uptrend wave. It will be known after crossing the ATH and ETH will go for price discovery. I doubt the price will fall below $1000 in a few months but if this fall happens surely the price will crash back to $700. It is very dangerous to decide to invest or wait unless someone bought before the current market flow. The market will go up until the next price discovery which can be done at around $5000 levels. Unlike the latest bull market, this time market can climb up to $7000 if the market conditions can be positive on all spheres. Just my 2 cents.

It seems the market has come to a full stop and it is not moving upwards anymore, which is understandable as it was impossible to maintain this tendency for long, however ethereum stopped just a few hundred dollars away from reaching a new all time high which should be incredibly infuriating for the people that have been holding ethereum for years hoping for the price to recover, and it will be incredibly disappointing for them if the price began to crash right now when they were so close to reach a new ATH.

Although it's still didn't reach a new all time high, while bitcoin's established a new one. But it's getting there, just a few couple of hundreds of dollars and ETH will be on it's way. And I think ETH will be the first one in the top 10 altcoins to hit a new all time high, just a matter of time and it could usher the altcoin season.
