Why are people still buying XRP?

People buy XRP BECAUSE every coin has the ability to grow. Of course, it can fall, but as practice shows, then all coins will rise in value many times, I'm sure of that. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What? it's only for the speculators but when you are talking about the fundamental of the project and this coin has no good fundamentals consider it can be burned to the hell by SEC anytime.
The different cases will be happening when the accusation was coming from the regulators.
You will be only getting two results from the battle with the regulators. You are winning the game or dead.

Ripple company has already said that they will not get involved in litigation and if the opportunity presents itself, they will simply pay a fine.
The most interesting thing is that in the legislation of the UK,Japan, Switzerland, Singapore ,Australia, Ripples are not considered violators.

XRP is still doing good and only few people are leaving XRP making its market price falls down a little bit. However, I do not believe that XRP can get to end for many crypto users still believing in XRP.

This is why in some of my previous post chosing an altcoin may be gain huge profit but too risky. So, the most reliable form of investment in cryptocurrency is to invest in bitcoin. No other crypto can do better in investment and assurance to earn except bitcoin. This is way better than chosing altcoins.

I personally do not dare to buy XRP for now, but the reason some people buy is because of the trade which of course can generate profits in the near future with some say that if XRP manages to win in this case it can make the price continue to increase, and a miracle that people believe hold xrp will pay off.

True, people who still bought this garbage coin just its loyal supporters and no mo. I'm still waiting for the action that will be taken by the new director of SEC(Jay Clinton) to the XRP's case.
I do believe if he will continue the case. We will see that in the next months and probably the court will start the case to take the judgement for ripple to be classified as a security or not.

I think what they're doing right now is trying to create a pump and dump situation where they put some of their money in XRP to make it look like they don't really care about the lawsuit they have done that just for bait and when those ignorant people think the other way and convert most of their money into XRP, that's when they get back their money but this time with a high amount of returns. because when those ignorant people invested the price of course has increased. that's why you need to be careful guys, the XRP today is not like we used to now.

Possibly trying to convince themselves that Ripple Labs will turn these lawsuits around and be some sort of a fairy tale ending wherein everyone holding XRP will get handsome profits. Seriously, with all those exchanges delisting XRP on their indices, it’s unwise to really push your luck into trading these coins since you’re left out with platforms that are relatively new and unproven when it comes to reliability and integrity. Also you’ll be facing liquidity issues since a lot has already dropped their XRP due to the news. At this point, only the delusional will have faith in XRP, and that’s no exaggeration.

"Delusional", I like this concept and most of the people are into it right now. I mean you have whole ocean of profits around you (ex. btc, eth,) then why would anyone have belief in the lawsuit claimed company? It's like entering into market which has put up all its money at stake and there is no guarantee they will have recovery for this at all (?)

If anyone is putting money into XRP right now then they are literally flooding the money into companies law department to run the case. 

It's a wake up call really for everyone who think XRP will have throwback in the fuutre.

The main reason for this might be that , it’s holders still think that the SEC issue with the coin will be solved very sooner.
But they aren’t aware of what is the scenario outside their imagination.
I have also heard that many people still holding it due to it’s low price.
And according to them, they had strong belief that the coin will be back recovering,
And they will earn huge profit from it.

People still buying xrp because they believed that lawsuit was only a FUD to them and with that effect it escalated panic selling that's why xrp fanatics are buying the dip for future  assessments after the issues that xrp are facing right now. I still using xrp for withdrawal purposes because for me it has low fees and fast transactions no matter if it's centralized I still have benefits on them for now.

As said by so many members if those are only betting and they are not investing. They are betting on the decision that will be taken by the court in the future. This is likely when you are betting with something that's not yet clear whether it will be considered as a security coin or not. People are losing their mind to get the short term profit. They are risking themselves to shorting the ripple market.
They are very ambitious caused by the possibility to get instant profit.

I don't know, after hearing the news from the SEC, I stopped following XRP's developments because I was pretty sure that the price was going to fall. however, until now, the price is still quite stable, and it is still going on, in fact, some people still really believe in the development of XRP, so because of that, they are still buying XRP until now.

Maybe some inexperienced investors believe Ripple will win the lawsuit and succeed in the future. If the suit gets dropped, XRP will literally moon.

I think most people who buy ripple for now are lure from them to trade and play the price and I think ripple is currently not optimal for now if it is used as a long-term investment because the volume on the market is decreasing. but what I wonder why is it still listed on the exchange? doesn't that mean that Ripple itself is not a scam.

Everyone of has an own sigth with regards to the coin that we invested, if you dont like the coin example the  XRP,XLM,etc, there are still people that like it and still invest into it because we have different understanding about the different coin, i believe that those people who still invest on xrp knows what they are doing, maybe they have a feeling that xrp will soon rise.

Asking why people still buying XRP is like asking why people are investing in cryptos, isn't it all about money making? Most people don't even invest for what the project is all about or how useful the project can be, it's all about doubling their money in no time

XRP has issues with SEC. Already price of XRP dumped more than 100% with the news in the last December. Still not solved the problem. CEO of XRP already said to solve issues. Many exchanges start delisting XRP from their exchanges. It's bad time for XRP. I won't recommend to buy XRP in this situation.

It will be possible to talk about the fate of XRP only after the court makes its decision. Until then, all purchases of XRP at the dumping price will be risky. But at the same time, it may be the best investment that will bring more profit, if the court rules in favor of Ripple.

There can be 2 main reasons for people still buying xrp:
1) Hardcore supporters that still have hope that xrp will come back stronger and its SEC issues will be resolved.
2) The traders especially those that trade on technical signals think that xrp price is cheap and at longterm support price so for them this is an attractive entry for them.

I want to add the points that you have made,
3) New investors want to start investing in cryptocurrency, so he wanted to invest in a safe cryptocurrency (top 10 on coinmarketcap) and of course with the price of XRP is falling (far from its ATH price), so he is interested to investing in XRP and hope that the price of XRP increases very high (reaches its ATH price), although he didn't know that XRP was in trouble (SEC sued Ripple).

They are buying it from same reason as they did a month ago. To sell it at higher price. Speculation. That is why XRP was made in first place. Well to make owners of Ripple rich and for others to speculate on its price. That is its sole usecase.
