Posting a single link without comment: Spam or not Spam?

Would you consider posting a single link, without any comment, explanation or summary of the content (own words), a spam post and report it to a mod to get deleted?
The link is on topic (like discussing Ethereum and it's a link to a news site about Ethereum) but no comment added, just a single link.

Personally, I would report is as a spam post: To create it, almost zero effort is required. Just copy links randomly from websites and search appropriate threads to post it...

I do not think this should be considered spam provided the link is helpful and relevant with the topic, some of the links can be helpful at times, but most of the links are just spam, suspicious and useless while some can be phishing links. There are some people that will open new account and spam this forum with such and in which the link will not be relevant to the topic title and will not post any other content than the title and the link, this type should be reported and will be deleted. But, if the link is useful with the title, it should not be considered spam. But, at least, a good post will have few comments about links posted.

A link to an article should have a summary or quoted text. A link elsewhere should have some sort of incroamtioj about it, it might be possible to get it done in the title but this place is a discussion forum and if you can find the link from a Google search what's the point in posting it here without any other information or questions as a discussion starter.

I think that just even in a mere post, a link on its own immediately raises questions as to why there is no context to it. Even if it's relevant to the topic of discussion.

By the way, OP, your title thread is "Posting a single link without comment: Spam or not Spam?" but in your poll, the answers are Yes or No. That's a little bit confusing.

Yeah, I've clarified it, changed to "Is it spam?". But I think "Spam or not Spam" where we can answer "Yes" (it's spam) or "No" (it's no spam) is also clear.

And yes, I've also voted for yes (it's spam) because posting a link without any comment is extremely low-effort. I would like to know where a linked article is about, explained in own words by the poster, at least a few sentences, possibly sometimes shorter, to get at least a hint if it's worth clicking.
It's also very unpolite to just spam a link, like "read it yourself". Finally, Bitcointalk is a discussion forum but many don't care, unfortnately.

So, why not adding a few of your own words to it that people know what it's about? Just a random YouTube link where nobody can see the content is requiring users to click it for finding out...

And I deleted the post you hastily took a screenshot because the post from actmyname was broken because of a [/quote] tag, I think he edited it (tell me if I am wrong @actmyname). So I thought he said your argument regarding the content again. After i submitted my post I saw that he only posted the links to this archive and deleted my post.
