Mining with GT 710s and 1030s?

Most that I know are mining with better and latest cards, mostly are with the RTX versions. But check if those cards are still profitable and which coins you should mine with them.

The 1030 will work with most mining software but gt710 won't because it's too old for today and again you won't make any good gains using that gt710 to mine because it's just too slow for mining, using nicehash software to find out the answers yourself

It's better to give those cards to kids in your block or street that love PC gaming to play counter strike and halo, yes the 1030 can still handle some light gaming at 720p resolution, don't bother mining with those cards cos it's complete waste of time

GT1030 can actually mine ravencoin, this card can do 8MH per second on KawPaw algorithm and this will net you 28$ per month, if you think you are up for this then download nicehash or betterhash and start mining, do not listen to those saying the card can't do a thing, here is a calculator for 1030

There is not much difference between 1030 and 1050 when it comes to mining reward per month, they are less power hungry so no matter what your electricity bill is per month you won't feel a thing, it's better to use a pool or software with low payout because it will take longer to reach minimum payout

Using a pool or software with low payout is not what is needed here cause mining with GT 710s and 1030s is never profitable if put the time spent into consideration except if the coin is newly created with future promising.

It better to get a cheap hardware miner than using the GPU this day thats the reason people don't use the equipment OP spoke of.

depends on what you want to hodl
if its btc then you mine something else with your card then sell if to get btc
currently with your card you can mine ravencoin that its most profitable.
to give you an idea if you mine btc in a pool will take you months to get a payout
or never prossibly

Do not buy video cards worse than 1050ti.
1030 may be good for mining in theory, but in practice I have not seen these video cards in mining, because they have very poor cooling. I think that they are not designed for mining, they give very little profit and a small amount of coins can be mined on these video cards.

Gt1030 have different variants mate, the PNY version has very tiny fan on them that's why the have bad cooling but the maxsun and some few others have big fan on them and they cool very well, anyways this card is not that profitable for mining so it's a bad choice

The 1030 will never reach 8mh on ravencoin  or anyone has a real benchmark? If this card can do 8mh, i will buy 100 of this cards XD.
1050ti do around 6 - 7 mh so it is not possible that the 1030 reach 8mh.

GTX1030 is about 1/2 the card that the 1050 (2gb non ti) card is.

1030 is 64bit width and only 24 compute units.
1050 is 128bit wide and 40 compute units.

1030 wont mine rvn as it has only 2gb of vram.

The GDDR5 is the better version but both are garbage.
A 1050 non ti 2gb card is about 2x the speed and those are tiny.

Even if this video card has good cooling, then it is suitable for assembling mining farms from a very small profit. Because the profit from 1 video card RTX 3080 will be more than the profit from 10 video cards 1030. If these video cards get free, then it is profitable.
And if you have one video card, it is not profitable to mine because of the very low profit.

I think the minimum card to mine nowadays is a 4 GB card like the 1050 ti.I have this in my personal PC and I use to mine Ravencoin(RVN).It has only about 6 Mhsh hashrate but it makes about 9 RVN in a day and I am just mining for fun with it.I use RX 6800 XT-s for real mining Ethereum.

For the cards you mentioned I don't think they are a good choice to mine,maybe the 1030 can mine UBIQ as the DAG file is just a bit over 1GB and you can mine it but I think this card the 1030 will be really slow in mining.The calculators show it at 4.6 Mhsh Ethash which is the algorithm UBIQ uses so not profitable at all.You make about 12 UBIQ in a month with 1030 so I don't recommend it at all.

I have 1030 2gb VGA card and plan it to mining, after i follow this discussion, i think better to sell my 2gb VGA card and buy 4gb 1050ti.
Im agreed with pro before me, that 2gb vga card is not worthy anymore to do mining

100kh on vtc is fucking low. Some of my Intel IGPU´s can do 50kh

1030 can mine few less demanding algorithms but for profits its not encouraging at all, you can make few dollars every month if you have the patience but as for me it's not worth the time
